We consider a satellite mission scheduling problem, which is a promising problem in recent satellite industry. This problem has various considerations such as customer importance, due date, limited capacity of energy and memory, distance of the location of each mission, etc. Also we consider the objective of each satellite such as general purpose satellite, strategic mission and commercial satellite. And this problem can be modelled as a general knapsack problem, which is famous NP-hard problem, if the objective is defined as to maximize the total mission score performed. To solve this kind of problem, heuristic algorithm such as taboo and genetic algorithm are applied and their performance are acceptable in some extent. To propose more efficient algorithm than previous research, we applied a particle swarm optimization algorithm, which is the most promising method in optimization problem recently in this research. Owing to limitation of current study in obtaining real information and several assumptions, we generated 200 satellite missions with required information for each mission. Based on generated information, we compared the results by our approach algorithm with those of CPLEX. This comparison shows that our proposed approach give us almost accurate results as just less than 3% error rate, and computation time is just a little to be applied to real problem. Also this algorithm has enough scalability by innate characteristic of PSO. We also applied it to mission scheduling problem of various class of satellite. The results are quite reasonable enough to conclude that our proposed algorithm may work in satellite mission scheduling problem.
Parametric studies were performed to assess the sensitivity in determining the maximum in-vessel heat removal capability from the core material relocated into the lower plenum of the reactor pressure vessel (RPV)during a core melt accident. A fraction of the sensible heat can be removed during the molten jet delivery from the core to the lower plenum, while the remaining sensible heat and the decay heat can be transported by rather complex mechanisms of the counter-current flow limitation (CCFL) and the critical heat flux (CHF)through the irregular, hemispherical gap that may be formed between the freezing oxidic debris and the overheated metallic RPV wall. It is shown that under the pressurized condition of 10MPa with the sensible heat loss being 50% for the reactors considered in this study, i.e. TMI-2, KORI-2 like, YGN-3&4 like and KNGR like reactors, the heat removal through the gap cooling mechanism was capable of ensuring the RPV integrity as much as 30% to 40% of the total core mass was relocated to the lower plenum. The sensitivity analysis indicated that the cooling rate of debris coupled with the sensible heat loss was a significant factor The newly proposed heat removal capability map (HRCM) clearly displays the critical factors in estimating the maximum heat removal from the debris in the lower plenum. This map can be used as a first-principle engineering tool to assess the RPV thermal integrity during a core melt accident. The predictive model also provided ith a reasonable explanation for the non-failure of the test vessel in the LAVA experiments performed at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), which apparently indicated a cooling effect of water ingression through the debris-to-vessel gap and the intra-debris pores and crevices.
A mathematical model of vapor explosion propagation is presented. The model predict two-dimensional, transient flow fields and energies of the four fluid phases of melt drop, fragmented debris, liquid coolant and vapor coolant by solving a set of governing equations with the relevant constitutive relations. These relations include melt fragmentation, coolant-phase-change, and heat and momentum exchange models. To allow thermodynamic non-equilibrium between the coolant liquid and vapor, an equation of state for oater is uniquely formulated. A multiphase code, TRACER, has been developed based on this mathematical formulation. A set of base calculations for tin/water explosions show that the model predicts the explosion propagation speed and peak pressure in a reasonable degree although the quantitative agreement relies strongly on the parameters in the constitutive relations. A set of calculations for sensitivity studies on these parameters have identified the important initial conditions and relations. These are melt fragmentation rate, momentum exchange function, heat transfer function and coolant phase change model as well as local vapor fractions and fuel fractions.
The purposes of the study was to analysis the factors on the physicians' indemnity experience and indemnity on malpractice. Data was collected from mail interview for the physicians from August, to October in 1996. Questions were asked to the physician who selected with random sample(n=8.338) about the opinion of malpractice insurance. experience that he(she) have requested the indemnity from patience. context of experienced indemnity and demographic characteristics of physician and patience. Response rate is 37.5%(n=3,124). This study was analyzed in two levels' the first. influential factors on whether physician has experience of indemnity and the second. influential factors of indemnity among physicians who had experienced the indemnity. The major findings were as follows : 1. Logistic regression on whether physicians had experience of indemnity request was conducted. And it indicated that statistically meaningful variables of model 1 (about all physicians) were department of surgery, physicians who have intention of insurance fee, physician age and income, physicians who owned the hospitals and statistically meaningful variables of model 11 (about physicians who owned the hospital) were department of surgery and internal treatment. 2. Multiple regression on the influential factors on indemnity was conducted. And it showed that statistically meaningful variables in model 1 were method of malpractice quarrel(physician association), whether physician had malpractice, whether suit succeeded, physician age, average practice time and income and whether physician owned the hospital and statistically meaningful variables of model 11 were whether physician had malpractice, number of outpatient, number of beds. As the conclusion, the thesis was examined about the variables related with experience of indemnity and cost of malpractice. But in order to prevent malpractice and promote medical quality, the reasonable system to solve a malpractice have to settle and cost estimation on malpractice is essential. Therefore an advanced research is progressed with methodology to decide the indemnity bases.
Welding and joining technology has become a core field. Therefore it is more widely applied to nonferrous metals, inorganic and polymeric materials. That is because the high performance, high function and diversification trend of materials used as industrial technology develops. In the laser welding process, STS 304 and SCP1-S were used as the base materials, the output density was fixed $7MW/cm^2$, the protective gas was argon(Ar) and the transfer rate was fixed 5 mm/sec. and it was progressed while the magnetic field is gradually increasing by 100 mT ranging 0 to 400 mT. The tensile test showed in average about 6 % tensile strength improvement in the case of the laser welding process using the magnetic fields. In the shielded metal arc welding process using SPHC only or the combination of SPHC+STS304 as base materials. The electric current was set at 80 Amperes and the protective gas used argon(Ar) the same as the laser welding process and the strength of magnetic fields. In the shielded metal arc welding process using the magnetic fields, the tensile tests showed about 5 % tensile strength improvement in the case of using SPHC only, 3 % tensile strength improvement in the case of using the combination of SPHC+ STS304. In comparing the results of numerical analysis to the results of experimental tests, it was revealed that the temperature, thermal stress distribution and the behavior of molten pool were similar to those of real tests. Consequently, it may be considered that the numerical assumption and the analytical model used in this study were reasonable.
Land surface Temperature (LST) is a very useful surface parameter for the wide range of applications, such as agriculture, numerical and climate modelling community. Whereas operational observation of LST is far from the needs of application community in the spatial Itemporal resolution and accuracy. So, we developed split-window type LST retrieval algorithm to estimate the LST from MTSAT-IR data. The coefficients of split-window algorithm were obtained by means of a statistical regression analysis from the radiative transfer simulations using MODTRAN 4 for wide range of atmospheric profiles, satellite zenith angle and lapse rate conditions including the surface inversions. The sensitivity analysis showed that the LST algorithm reproduces the LST with a reasonable quality. However, the LST algorithm overestimates and underestimates for the strong surface inversion and superadiabatic conditions especially for the warm temperature, respectively. And the performance of LST algorithms is superior when satellite zenith angle is small. The accuracy of the retrieved LST has been evaluated with the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) LST data. The validation results showed that the correlation coefficients and RMSE are about 0.83${\sim}$0.98 and 1.38${\sim}$4.06, respectively. And the quality of LST is significantly better during night and winter time than during day and summer. The validation results showed that the LST retrieval algorithm could be used for the operational retrieval of LST from MTSAT-IR and COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) data with some modifications.

EVs manufacturers typically target a range of 300 km on a fully charged battery. Many studies have been conducted to improve these disadvantages. As a results, the mileage of EVs is expected to increase significantly. However, as the distance traveled by EVs increases, current test method (SCT) have many difficulties. The biggest problem is that it takes a lot of time to test an EVs and greatly increases the error rate during the test period. In order to solve these problems, this paper discusses the fuel economy test method of EVs for energy efficiency and mileage. The comparison of test methods was achieved by chassis dynamometer test about EVs. These review of test methods are intended to both improve testing efficiency and provide a practical testing methodology that can be easily adapted to accommodate future testing enhancements. In conclusion, the results of MCT mode and SCT mode comparison show similar results within 3 %, confirming that the test method is appropriate. Also, as the CSCM distance becomes shorter in the MCT mode, the mileage becomes longer and the fuel economy becomes lower. As a result, the error from the SCT test results is expected to increase. In order to minimize the error of SCT measurement fuel economy, it is recommended to maximize the CSCM driving distance. However, since the timing of the EOT is not clearly known, it is reasonable to define the allowable range of the CSCE to be within 20 % of the MCT total mileage.

Purpose: We investigated correlations between the findings of oral examinations and panoramic radiography in order to determine the efficacy of using panoramic radiographs in screening examinations. Methods: This study included patients who visited dental clinics at National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) Ilsan Hospital for checkups during 2009-2015 and underwent panoramic radiographic examinations within 1 year prior to the oral examinations. Among the 48,006 patients who received checkups, 1,091 were included in this study. The data were evaluated using the Cohen kappa and interrater agreement coefficients. Accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity were calculated using data from the panoramic radiographs as true positive diagnoses. Results: The interrater agreement coefficient for occlusal caries was 28.8%, and the Cohen kappa coefficient was 0.043 between the oral and panoramic radiographic examinations. Root caries and subgingival calculus were only found on the radiographs, while gingival inflammation was found only by the oral examinations. The oral examinations had a specificity for detecting occlusal dental caries of 100%, while their sensitivity for proximal dental caries and supragingival calculus was extremely low (14.0% and 18.3%, respectively) compared to the panoramic radiographic examinations. The oral examinations showed a relatively low sensitivity of 66.2% and a specificity of 43.7% in detecting tooth loss compared with panoramic radiography. Conclusions: Panoramic radiography can provide information that is difficult to obtain in oral examinations, such as root caries, furcation involvement, and subgingival calculus, which are factors that can directly affect the survival rate of teeth. It therefore seems reasonable and necessary to add panoramic radiography to large-scale health checkup programs such as that provided by the NHIS.
Background: Lung cancer is the most common cancer in males worldwide. The principal mode of treatment in the early stage of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is surgery. However, five-year survival is only about 15% for all stages. The aim is to investigate the effect of daily low dose cisplatin concurrently with radiation therapy in advanced NSCLC patients with poor performance status. Materials and Methods: Ten patients diagnosed as inoperable Stage IIIB NSCLC with comorbid disease were assessed retrospectively in Bezmialem Vakif University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, between 2011 to 2013. ECOG performance status was between 3 and 4. Cisplatin was administered at $6mg/m^2$ daily, for 5 days a week concurrently with radiotherapy using 160-200 cGy daily fractions, 54 Gy being the lowest and 63 Gy being the highest dose. Results: Complete response at the primary tumour site was obtained in 20% patients. Grade I esophagitis was seen 70 percent of patients, and the grade II haematological toxicity rate was 20 %. Median survival time was 7 months. Conclusions: Median survival time was reasonable, despite the patients ECOG performance status of 3-4, which is similar to groups even without comorbid disorders in comparison to other published papers in the literature. Acceptable toxicity, high response rates and quality of life of patients are the other favourable features.
Objective: Most patients with advanced breast cancer experience resistance to endocrine treatment and eventual disease progression. This meta-analysis was designed to compare the efficacy and tolerability of fulvestrant 250mg with anastrozole 1mg in postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer. Methods: Electronic literature databases (Cochrane Library, Medline, and Embase) were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published prior to August 2013. Only RCTs that compared fulvestrant 250mg to anastrozole 1mg in postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer were selected. The main outcomes were time to treatment failure (TTF), time to progression (TTP), duration of response (DOR), clinical benefit rate, and tolerability. Results: Four RCTs covering 1,226 patients (fulvestrant, n=621; anastrozole, n=605) were included in the meta-analysis. Fulvestrant increased the DOR compared to anastrozole (HR =1.31, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.13-1.51). There was no statistically significant difference between fulvestrant and anastrozole in terms of TTF (HR=1.02, 95%CI 0.89-1.17), complete response (RR=1.79, 95%CI, 0.93-3.43), and partial response (RR=0.91, 95%CI 0.69-1.21). As for safety, there was no statistical significance between the two groups for common adverse events. Conclusion: Fulvestrant 250mg is as effective and well-tolerated as anastrozole 1mg treatment for advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women whose disease progressed after prior endocrine treatment. Thus, fulvestrant may serve as a reasonable alternative to anastrozole when resistance is experienced in breast cancer cases.
