GMA 용접에서 용접선 추적용 시각센서의 화상처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Image Processing of Visual Sensor for Weld Seam Tracking in GMA Welding)

  • In this study, we constructed a preview-sensing visual sensor system for weld seam tracking in GMA welding. The visual sensor consists of a CCD camera, a diode laser system with a cylindrical lens and a band-pass-filter to overcome the degrading of image due to spatters and/or arc light. To obtain weld joint position and edge points accurately from the captured image, we compared Hough transform method with central difference method. As a result, we present Hough transform method can more accurately extract the points and it can be applied to real time weld seam tracking. Image processing is carried out to extract straight lines that express laser stripe. After extracting the lines, weld joint position and edge points is determined by intersecting points of the lines. Although a spatter trace is in the image, it is possible to recognize the position of weld joint. Weld seam tracking was precisely implemented with adopting Hough transform method, and it is possible to track the weld seam in the case of offset angle is in the region of $\pm15^{\circ}$.

  • In this study, a preview-sensing visual sensor system is constructed far weld seam tracking in GMA welding. Among the image processing methods, Hough transform method is compared with the central difference method from a viewpoint of the capability for extracting the accurate feature position. As a result, it was revealed that Hough transform method can more accurately extract the feature positions and it can be applied to real time weld seam tracking. Image processing which includes Hough transform method is carried out to extract straight lines that express laser stripe. After extracting the lines, weld joint position and edge points are determined by intersecting the lines. Even though the image includes a spatter trace on it, it is possible to recognize the position of weld joint. Weld seam tracking was precisely implemented with adopting Hough transform method, and it is possible to track the weld seam in the case of offset angle is in the region of $\pm$ $15^{\circ}$.

  • In this thesis, we work on the curve recognition with real time processing and the Robot tracking method on recognized curve. Image information of segment curve is supplied to computer to run to a Robot so that it is a feedback system. Image coordinate frame to world coordinate transformation represents in this paper and curve matching algorithm subscribes by two method, first transformation matching algorithm, second image coordinate matching algorithm.   • In this paper, the visual tracking system for arbitrary shaped moving object is proposed. The established tracking system can be divided into model based method that needs previous model for target object and image based method that uses image feature. In the model based method, the reliable tracking is possible, but simplification of the shape is necessary and the application is restricted to definite target mod el. On the other hand, in the image based method, the process speed can be increased, but the shape information is lost and the tracking system is sensitive to image noise. The proposed tracking system is composed of the extraction process that recognizes the existence of moving object and tracking process that extracts dynamic characteristics and shape information of the target objects. Specially, active contour model is used to effectively track the object that is undergoing shape change. In initializatio n process of the contour model, the semi-automatic operation can be avoided and the convergence speed of the contour can be increased by the proposed effective initialization method. Also, for the efficient solution of the correspondence problem in multiple objects tracking, the variation function that uses the variation of position structure in image frame and snake energy level is proposed. In order to verify the validity and effectiveness of the proposed tracking system, real time tracking experiment for multiple moving objects is implemented.

  • This paper proposes a new approach to the designed of visual feedback control system based on visual servoing method. The main focus of this paper is presents how it is effective to use many features for improving the accuracy of the visual feedback control of industrial articulated robot for assembling and inspection of parts. Some rank conditions, which relate the image Jacobian, and the control performance are derived. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features. The effectiveness of redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a SCARA type robot(FARA) made in samsung electronics company.

  • This paper presents how effective it is to use many features for improving the speed and accuracy of visual servo systems. Some rank conditions which relate the image Jacobian to the control performance are derived. The focus is to describe that the accuracy of the camera position control in the world coordinate system is increased by utilizing redundant features in this paper. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features involved. Effectiveness of the redundant features is evaluated by the smallest singular value of the image Jacobian which is closely related to the accuracy with respect to the world coordinate system. Usefulness of the redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a Dual-Arm robot manipulator made by Samsung Electronic Co. Ltd..

  • This article takes the talk show "Beast Town" as an example to introduce the overall technical solution, technical difficulties and countermeasures for the combination of cartoon virtual characters and virtual studio technology, providing reference and experience for the multi-scenario application of digital humans. Compared with the live broadcast that combines reality and reality, we have further upgraded our virtual production technology and digital human-driven technology, adopted industry-leading real-time virtual production technology and monocular camera driving technology, and launched a virtual cartoon character talk show - "Beast Town" to achieve real Perfectly combined with virtuality, it further enhances program immersion and audio-visual experience, and expands infinite boundaries for virtual manufacturing. In the talk show, motion capture shooting technology is used for final picture synthesis. The virtual scene needs to present dynamic effects, and at the same time realize the driving of the digital human and the movement with the push, pull and pan of the overall picture. This puts forward very high requirements for multi-party data synchronization, real-time driving of digital people, and synthetic picture rendering. We focus on issues such as virtual and real data docking and monocular camera motion capture effects. We combine camera outward tracking, multi-scene picture perspective, multi-machine rendering and other solutions to effectively solve picture linkage and rendering quality problems in a deeply immersive space environment. , presenting users with visual effects of linkage between digital people and live guests.

  • Integrating a GPS based vehicle navigation system and the latest optimal algorithms, this research aims to develop a real-time decision support platform for concrete plant to provide the optimal solutions for ready mixed concrete delivery. The platform includes fleet tracking system, simulation and optimization tools, and visual interface which is useful to monitor delivery progress, to obtain crucial historical and real-time data for simulation, and to improve the efficiency of the plant operation. This paper presents configuration of the system and performance evaluation based on operational data.

깊이 센서를 이용한 능동형태모델 기반의 객체 추적 방법 (Active Shape Model-based Object Tracking using Depth Sensor)

  • This study proposes technology using Active Shape Model to track the object separating it by depth-sensors. Unlike the common visual camera, the depth-sensor is not affected by the intensity of illumination, and therefore a more robust object can be extracted. The proposed algorithm removes the horizontal component from the information of the initial depth map and separates the object using the vertical component. In addition, it is also a more efficient morphology, and labeling to perform image correction and object extraction. By applying Active Shape Model to the information of an extracted object, it can track the object more robustly. Active Shape Model has a robust feature-to-object occlusion phenomenon. In comparison to visual camera-based object tracking algorithms, the proposed technology, using the existing depth of the sensor, is more efficient and robust at object tracking. Experimental results, show that the proposed ASM-based algorithm using depth sensor can robustly track objects in real-time.

  • This paper addresses the design procedure and testing result of a servo driven pan/tilt device which is capable of tracking arbitrary movement of a specified target object. In order to achieve real-time acquisition of feedback signal, a 2 degree-of freedom non-contact type displacement follower has been employed in stead of vision camera. The performance of the designed system is tested for different target velocities and control gains. The test result shows the satisfactory performance to be adopted as an effective tool for visual transfer in the context of teleoperation.
