  • 3차원 형상의 복구를 위하여 일반적으로 다른 방향에서 취득한 거리 영상을 하나의 좌표계로 변환하는 과정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 과정 중 레지스트레이션과 인티그레이션에 관한 연구 결과를 제시한다 레지스트레이션에 대해서는 가존의 ICP 알고리듬의 수렴 속도 향상을 위해 높은 곡률을 갖는 데이터에 가중치를 주는 2 단계의 알고리듬을 제안한다 첫 번째 단계에서는 모든 거리 데이터 이용하여 적당한 정도의 레지스트레이션을 수행하고 두 번째 단계에서 높은 곡률을 가진 점들만을 이용하여 보다 정확한 레지스트레이션을 수행한다 인티그레이션 알고리듬으로는 가준 좌표계로 변환된 모든 거리 영상간의 전체 오차를 최소화하기 위해 2장간의 거리 영상에 대한 ICP 알고리듬을 임의의 N장의 거리 영상에 대하여 적용할 수 있도록 일반화하는 알고리듬을 제안하였다 제안하는 알고리듬을 통하여 2장간의 변환을 순차적으로 수행하여 기준 좌표계로의 변환을 얻었을 때 레지스트레이션 오차가 누적되는 문제점을 해결하였다 실험결과 레지스트레이션 알고리듬은 펜티움 150MHz PC 환경에서 l분정도의 수행시간을 나타내었다 실험 결과는 제안하는 기법이 적절한 시간내에 모든 거리 데이터들을 오차가 고르게 분포하는 모델을 형성할 수 있음을 보인다.

  • 정보통신기술(ICT)의 발전에 따라 실시간성, 이동성 및 맞춤성 등의 특성으로 대표될 수 있는 오늘날 스마트 사회에서는 공간정보 분야가 보다 적극적으로 사회적 필요성에 대응할 수 있는 방안 마련이 요구된다. 왜냐하면 공간정보는 모든 사람활동의 기반이 되는 매우 중요한 기반인프라로서 정보통신의 발달과 더불어 매우 중요한 사회적 기반(Social Infrastructure)으로까지 승화되고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 추세에 발맞춰 이미 공간정보를 기반으로 다양한 콘텐츠와 기기 등이 결합된 융복합 공간정보 관련 제도기반으로서 공간정보산업진흥법이 마련되어 있다(법제2조7항, 법제4조5항). 그러나 보다 구체적으로 융복합 공간정보서비스의 명확한 정의 및 세부 지원방안 등이 향후 발전과제로 남이 있다. 이상과 같은 시대적 배경 하에 본 연구수행의 목적은 스마트사회에 요구되는 공간정보서비스로서 융복합 공간정보서비스의 추진방향과 실현방안을 제시하는데 있다. 특히, 최근 공간정보 수요는 글로벌, 국가 및 지역 등 다양한 공간위계에서 융복합화의 필요성이 재기되고 실제 실행서비스들이 구현되고 있는 추세에 있다. 따라서 이러한 수직적 공간위계별로 스마트사회의 특성과 공간정보의 역할변화를 고찰하고, 사회적 수요에 대응한 융복합 공간정보서비스 추진의 기본방향과 실현방안을 제시하였다.

Why a Combination of WP 631 and Epo B is an Improvement on the Drugs Singly - Involvement in the Cell Cycle and Mitotic Slippage

  • Our previous studies clearly demonstrated that a combination of WP 631 and Epo B has higher activity against ovarian cancer cells than either of these compounds used separately. In order to fully understand the exact mechanism of action in combination, we assessed effects on the cell cycle of SKOV-3 cells. We evaluated three control points essential for WP 631 and Epo B action to determine which cell cycle-regulating proteins (CDK1/cyclin B complex, EpCAM or HMGB1) mediate activity. The effects of the drug on the cell cycle were measured based on the nuclear DNA content using flow cytometry. Expression of cell cycle-regulating genes was analyzed using real-time PCR. It was discovered that WP 631, at the tested concentration, did not affect the SKOV-3 cell cycle. Epo B caused significant G2/M arrest, whereas the drug combination induced stronger apoptosis and lower mitotic arrest than Epo B alone. This is very important information from the point of view of the fight against cancer, as, while mitotic arrest in Epo B-treated cells could be overcame after DNA damage repair, apoptosis which occurs after mitotic slippage in combination-treated cells is irreversible. It clearly explains the higher activity of the drug combination in comparison to Epo B alone. Epo B acts via the CDK1/cyclin B complex and has the ability to inhibit CDK1, which may be a promising strategy for ovarian cancer treatment in the future. The drug combination diminishes EpCAM and HMGB1 expression to a greater degree than either WP 631 and Epo B alone. Owing to the fact that the high expression of these two proteins is a poor prognostic factor for ovarian cancer, a decrease in their expression, observed in our studies, may result in improved efficacy of cancer therapy. The presented findings show that the combination of WP 631 and Epo B is a better therapeutic option than either of these drugs alone.

대체적 감가상각기법을 활용한 도로자산의 가치 평가 : 국도 1호선을 중심으로 (Evaluation of Road Asset Value using Alternative Depreciation methods : Focusing on National Highway No.1)

  • PURPOSES : This study proposes the road asset valuation approach using alternative depreciation methods. It has become necessary to have asset management system according to the adoption of accrual basis accounting for governmental financial reporting and the amendment of the road act. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the effect of depreciation methods on road asset value as a basic research for road asset management system. METHODS : The Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) has mainly performed road asset valuation based on Write down Replacement Cost and Straight Line depreciation method. This study suggests some appropriate asset valuation methods for road assets through case analysis using three depreciation methods: Consumption-based depreciation method, Condition-based depreciation method, and Straight Line depreciation method. A road asset valuation data of national highway route 1 (year 2014) is used to analyze the effect of three depreciation methods on the road asset value. Road assets include land and structures (pavement, bridge, and tunnel). This study mainly focuses on structures such as bridges and tunnels, because according to governmental accounting standards, land and road pavement assets do not depreciate. RESULTS : The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, overall asset value of national highway route 1 was estimated at 6.97 trillion KRW when MOSF's method (straight-line depreciation method) is applied. Secondly, asset value was estimated at 4.85 trillion KRW on application of consumption-based depreciation method. Thirdly, asset value was estimated at 4.37 trillion KRW when condition-based depreciation method is applied. Therefore, either consumption-based or condition-based depreciation methods would be more appropriate than straight-line depreciation method if we can use the condition data of road assets including land that are available in real time. CONCLUSIONS : Since road assets such as pavements, bridges, and tunnels have various patterns of deterioration and condition monitoring period, it is necessary to consider a specific valuation method according to the condition of each road asset. Firstly, even though road pavements do not depreciate, asset valuation through condition-based depreciation method would be more appropriate when requirements for application of non-depreciation approach are not satisfied. Since bridge and tunnel facilities show various patterns of deterioration and condition monitoring period by type and condition level, consumption-based depreciation method based on deterioration model would be appropriate. Therefore, it is necessary to have a reasonable asset management system to apply condition-based depreciation method and a periodic condition investigation to manage road assets well.

지속적인 계단 보행에서 부하가 하지 근육의 생체역학적 변인과 근사 엔트로피에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Loading on Biomechanical Analysis of Lower Extremity Muscle and Approximate Entropy during Continuous Stair Walking)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of gait patterns and muscle activations with increased loads during stair walking. Also, it can be used as descriptive data about continuous stair walking in a real life setting. Method : Twelve sedentary young male adults(Age: $27.0{\pm}1.8yrs$, Weight: $65.8{\pm}9.9kg$) without any lower extremity injuries participated in this study. Participants performed stair walking up 7 floors and their ascending and descending motion on each floor was analyzed. A wireless electromyography(EMG) were attached on the Rectus Femoris(RF), Biceps Femoris(BF), Gastrocnemius(GN), Tibialis Anterior(TA) muscle to calculate integrated EMG(iEMG), median frequency(MDF) and co-contraction index(CI). Chest and left heel accelerometer signal were recorded by wireless accelerometer and those were used to calculate approximate entropy(ApEn) for analyzing gait pattern. All analyses were performed with SPSS 21.0 and for repeated measured ANOVA and Post-hoc was LSD. Results : During ascending stairs, there were a statistically significant difference in Walking time between 1-2nd and other floors(p=.000), GN iEMG between 2-3th and 6-7th(p=.043) floor, TA MDF between 1-2nd and 5-6th(p=.030), 6-7th(p=.015) floor and TA/GN CI between 2-3th and 6-7th(p=.038) floor and ApEn between 1-2nd and 6-7th(x: p=.003, y: p=.005, z: p=.006) floor. During descending stairs, there were a statistically significant difference in TA iEMG between the 6-5th and 3-2nd(p=.026) floor, and for the ApEn between the 1-2nd and 6-7th(x: p=.037, y: p=.000, z: p=.000) floor. Conclusion : Subjects showed more regular pattern and muscle activation response caused by regularity during ascending stairs. Regularity during the first part of stair-descending could be a sign of adaptation; however, complexity during the second part could be a strategy to decrease the impact.

Current status and future plans of KMTNet microlensing experiments

  • We introduce a current status and future plans of Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) microlensing experiments, which include an observational strategy, pipeline, event-finder, and collaborations with Spitzer. The KMTNet experiments were initiated in 2015. From 2016, KMTNet observes 27 fields including 6 main fields and 21 subfields. In 2017, we have finished the DIA photometry for all 2016 and 2017 data. Thus, it is possible to do a real-time DIA photometry from 2018. The DIA photometric data is used for finding events from the KMTNet event-finder. The KMTNet event-finder has been improved relative to the previous version, which already found 857 events in 4 main fields of 2015. We have applied the improved version to all 2016 data. As a result, we find that 2597 events are found, and out of them, 265 are found in KMTNet-K2C9 overlapping fields. For increasing the detection efficiency of event-finder, we are working on filtering false events out by machine-learning method. In 2018, we plan to measure event detection efficiency of KMTNet by injecting fake events into the pipeline near the image level. Thanks to high-cadence observations, KMTNet found fruitful interesting events including exoplanets and brown dwarfs, which were not found by other groups. Masses of such exoplanets and brown dwarfs are measured from collaborations with Spitzer and other groups. Especially, KMTNet has been closely cooperating with Spitzer from 2015. Thus, KMTNet observes Spitzer fields. As a result, we could measure the microlens parallaxes for many events. Also, the automated KMTNet PySIS pipeline was developed before the 2017 Spitzer season and it played a very important role in selecting the Spitzer target. For the 2018 Spitzer season, we will improve the PySIS pipeline to obtain better photometric results.

Knockdown of HMGN5 Expression by RNA Interference Induces Cell Cycle Arrest in Human Lung Cancer Cells

  • HMGN5 is a typical member of the HMGN (high mobility group nucleosome-binding protein) family which may function as a nucleosomal binding and transcriptional activating protein. Overexpression of HMGN5 has been observed in several human tumors but its role in tumorigenesis has not been fully clarified. To investigate its significance for human lung cancer progression, we successfully constructed a shRNA expression lentiviral vector in which sense and antisense sequences targeting the human HMGN5 were linked with a 9-nucleotide loop. Inhibitory effects of siRNA on endogenous HMGN5 gene expression and protein synthesis were demonstrated via real-time RT-PCR and western blotting. We found HMGN5 silencing to significantly inhibit A549 and H1299 cell proliferation assessed by MTT, BrdU incorporation and colony formation assays. Furthermore, flow cytometry analysis showed that specific knockdown of HMGN5 slowed down the cell cycle at the G0/G1 phase and decreased the populations of A549 and H1299 cells at the S and G2/M phases. Taken together, these results suggest that HMGN5 is directly involved in regulation cell proliferation in A549 and H1299 cells by influencing signaling pathways involved in cell cycle progression. Thus, our finding suggests that targeting HMGN5 may be an effective strategy for human lung cancer treatment.

재사용 기반의 소프트웨어 개발 체계 구축 : 내장형 소프트웨어 영역의 기업 사례 (Enabling reuse driven software development : lessons learned from embedded software industry practice)

  • 본 논문은 CE(Consumer Electronics) 제품을 개발하는 기업에서 소프트웨어 재사용의 향상을 위하여 기업 내에서 추진한 여러 사례들을 기반으로 소프트웨어 재사용에 대한 기반을 구축하고, 이를 개발 조직에 적용하면서 발생한 문제점의 도출과 개선점의 반영에 대해 논한다. 기업내에서의 재사용 기반을 구축하기 위해서는 기술적, 관리적, 개발환경의 측면이 모두 고려된 종합적인 접근 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기술적 측면에서 개발 방법론을, 관리적 측면에서 재사용 메트릭을, 그리고 개발환경의 측면에서 재사용 저장소를 개발하고 운영한 사례를 논하며, 각각을 적용하면서 발생한 문제점을 분석하여 기업에서 보다 효과적인 재사용 기반을 구축하는 개선사례를 제시한다. 본 논문에서 다루는 재사용 활동의 대상은 개발대상 측면에서 내장 소프트웨어라는 특성, 조직적 측면에서 다앙한 제품을 다루는 수십 개의 각기 다른 개발영역과 조직구조를 가진 대규모 조직이라는 특성, 그리고 제품 개발 주기가 매우 짧으며 동일 제품에 대한 파생 제품이 동시에 다량으로 개발된다는 개발 환경의 특성에 기반하고 있다. 본 논문은 상기 분야에 대한 소프트웨어 재사용 현황에 대한 보고서로, 또한 이로부터 기업 내 재사용 기반을 개선하는 사례와 그 방안을 제시한다는 측면에서의 활용도가 있겠다.

만성 피부 염증소견을 보인 개의 면역학적 특성 분석 연구 (Analysis of Immune Response in Dogs with Chronic Inflammatory Skin Disease)

  • High levels of inflammatory cytokines were proposed contributors to the pathogenesis of a various inflammatory skin disorders. Therefore, investigating the immune response of the inflammatory skin disorder allows a better understanding of pathogenesis of a various inflammatory skin disorders and therapeutic approaches. The aim of this study was to analyze of the immune response in dogs with chronic inflammatory skin disease. To this aim, the present study evaluated relative mRNA expression of canine $IFN-{\gamma}$, IL-4, $TGF-{\beta}$ and IL-10 using TaqMan realtime PCR assays and semi-quantitative RT-PCR in freshly isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells from twenty dogs with chronic inflammatory skin disease and ten normal dogs. The relative mRNA expression levels of IL-4 mRNA were significantly higher in dogs with chronic inflammatory skin disease than those in normal dogs (P < 0.01). The results of present study also showed a tendency towards increased expression of IL-10 transcripts in dogs with chronic inflammatory skin disease. However, there were no significant differences in the levels $IFN-{\gamma},\;TGF-{\beta}$ between normal and chronically inflammed dogs. In addition, the concentration of serum IgE was significantly increased in dogs with chronic inflammatory skin disease compared with those in normal dogs (P < 0.01). In histopathological examination, we found that there were markedly increased mast cell counts in chronically inflammed dogs (P < 0.05). These results suggest that the pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory skin disease might be associated with a T-cell mediated inflammatory responses characterized by a Th2-skewed immune response. Based on these results, the modulation of Th1/Th2 balance may be an effective therapeutic strategy for the treatment of chronic inflammatory skin disease.

대학생들을 위한 취업지원관리시스템의 설계 및 구축안-사례 연구 (Design and construction method of an employment support management system for college students - A case study)

  • 오늘날 각 대학의 취업률은 대학 등급을 결정짓는 중요한 요소 중의 하나이다. 취업예비생은 원하는 취업정보를 얻기 위해서 온라인 또는 오프라인상의 취업지원 사이트들에서 원하는 취업정보들을 이용하고 있다. 웹기반 취업지원업체들과 각 대학교에서 제공해주는 많은 취업지원시스템들이 있지만, 이들은 취업지원관리 위주가 아닌 취업정보를 알리는 데에 더 중심을 두고 있다. 또한, MOU기업, 산업체 현장실습, 취업 멘토교수 등과 관련된 업무 프로세스를 지원해주는 기능과, 각 기업들이 원하는 학생들의 정보(이력서, 자기소개서 등)와 학생들이 원하는 기업들의 정보를 지속적으로 업데이트해주고 관리해주는 기능도 부족하다. 따라서 취업관련 초기 데이터(학생 및 기업정보)의 저장에서부터 취업관리까지 지원해주는 취업지원관리시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 취업지원시스템의 기능에 권한별 취업관리 기능을 고려하였고, 스마트 폰에서도 취업정보를 실시간으로 수신할 수 있으며, 학사정보시스템과 연계된 시스템의 설계 및 구축안을 제시하였다.
