  • This paper presents a variational equality formulation by Providing new dynamic route choice condition for a link-based dynamic traffic assignment model. The concepts of used paths, used links, used departure times are employed to derive a new link-based dynamic route choice condition. The route choice condition is formulated as a time-dependent variational equality problem and necessity and sufficiency conditions are provided to prove equivalence of the variational equality model. A solution algorithm is proposed based on physical network approach and diagonalization technique. An asymmetric network computational study shows that ideal dynamic-user optimal route condition is satisfied when the length of each time interval is shortened. The I-394 corridor study shows that more than 93% of computational speed improved compared to conventional variational inequality approach, and furthermore as the larger network size, the more computational performance can be expected. This paper concludes that the variational equality could be a promising approach for real-time application of a dynamic traffic assignment model based on fast computational performance.

  • A Mobile Sensor Network is widely used in real time applications. A critical need in Mobile Sensor Network is to achieve energy efficiency during routing as the sensor nodes have scarce energy resource. The nodes' mobility in MWSN poses a challenge to design an energy efficient routing protocol. Clustering helps to achieve energy efficiency by reducing the organization complexity overhead of the network which is proportional to the number of nodes in the network. This paper proposes"EERA: Energy Efficient Routing Algorithm for Mobile Sensor Network" is divided into five phases. 1, Cluster Formation 2.Cluster head and Transmission head selection 3.Path Establishment / Route discovery and 4,Data Transmission. Experimental Analysis has been done and is found that the proposed method performs better than the existing method with respect to four parameters.

  • This paper describes the development of the KORNET that may be regarded as the latest public packet-swiched computer communication network. The KORNET project included the development of the network management center (NMC), a network concentrator. For the KORNET we use the virtual circuit(VC) method, a distributed adaptive routing algorithm, and a dynamic buffer management algorithm. The NMC acts as a nerve center of the network, performing such function as network monitoring, subscriber and network management and routing management, etc. As for the NNP and NC hardware, we have implemented them with the 16-bit multitask/multiprocessor technology using MC68000 microprocessors. Softwares have been developed using C language is required for real time processing. All the network protocols we have developed comply completely with the latest CCITT recommendations including X.25, X,3 , X.28 and X.29.

  • This paper reports on a realtime OS based master-slave configuration robot control system for laparoscopic surgery robot which enables telesurgery and overcomes shortcomings with conventional laparoscopic surgery. Surgery robot system requires control system that can process large volume information such as medical image data and video signal from endoscope in real-time manner, as well as precisely control the robot with high reliability. To meet the complex requirements, the use of high-level real-time OS (Operating System) in surgery robot controller is a must, which is as common as in many of modem robot controllers that adopt real-time OS as a base system software on which specific functional modules are implemened for more reliable and stable system. The control system consists of joint controllers, host controllers, and user interface units. The robot features a compact slave robot with 5 DOF (Degree-Of-Freedom) expanding the workspace of each tool and increasing the number of tools operating simultaneously. Each master, slave and Gill (Graphical User Interface) host runs a dedicated RTOS (Real-time OS), RTLinux-Pro (FSMLabs Inc., U.S.A.) on which functional modules such as motion control, communication, video signal integration and etc, are implemented, and all the hosts are in a gigabit Ethernet network for inter-host communication. Each master and slave controller set has a dedicated CAN (Controller Area Network) channel for control and monitoring signal communication with the joint controllers. Total 4 pairs of the master/slave manipulators as current are controlled by one host controller. The system showed satisfactory performance in both position control precision and master-slave motion synchronization in both bench test and animal experiment, and is now under further development for better safety and control fidelity for clinically applicable prototype.

  • In order to provide real-time data from sensors and instruments at manufacturing processes on web, we proposed a communication service model based on XML(eXtensible Markup Language). HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) is inadequate for describing real-time data from manufacturing plants while it is suitable for display of non-real-time multimedia data on web. For applying XML-based web service of process data in Intranet environment, real-time performance of communication services was evaluated to provide the system design criteria. XML schema for the data presentation was proposed and its communication performance was evaluated by simulation in terms of transmission delay due to increased message length and processing delay for transformation of raw data into defined format. For transformation of raw data into XML format, we proposed two structures: one is the scheme where transformation is done at an SCC(Supervisory Control Computer) after receiving real-time data from instruments. the other is the scheme where transformation is carried out at instruments before the data are transmitted to the SCC. Performances of two structures were evaluated on a testbed under various conditions such as six packet sizes and offered loads of 20%, 50% and 80%, respectively. Test results show that proposed schemes are applicable to the systems in Ethernet 100BaseT network if total message traffic is less than 7 Mbps.

  • The leaky bucket scheme is a promising method that regulates input traffics for preventive congestion control. In the ATM network, the input traffics are bursty and transmitted at high-speed. In order to get the low loss probability for bursty input traffics, it is known that the leaky bucket scheme with static leaky rate requires larger data buffer and token pool size. This causes the increase of the mean waiting time for an input traffic to pass the policing function, which would be inappropriate for real time traffics such as voice and video. We present the leaky bucket scheme with dynamic leaky rate in which the token generation period changes according to buffer occupancy. In the leaky bucket scheme with dynamic leaky rate, the cell loss probability and the mean waiting time are reduced in comparison with the leaky bucket scheme with static leaky rate. We analyze the performance of the proposed leaky bucket scheme in discrete-time case by assuming arrival process to be Markov-modulated Bernoulli process (MMBP).

  • Control Chart is a powerful tool to detect that process is in control or out of control. CIM can have real effect when CIM involve automated quality control. A neural network approach is used for unnatural pattern detecting of control chart. The previous moving window method uses all unnatural pattern that is detected as moving time window. Therefore, It trains a large number of unnatural pattern and takes training time long. In this paper, the proposed method tests a small number of training unnatural pattern which modifies test data without repeating time. We shows that the proposed method has differences In training time and identification rate on the previous moving windows method. As results, we reduced training time and obtain the same identification rate.

  • In this study, an output-only modal identification approach is proposed for decentralized wireless sensor nodes used for linear structural systems. The following approaches are implemented to achieve the objective. Firstly, an output-only modal identification method is selected for decentralized wireless sensor networks. Secondly, the effect of time-unsynchronization is assessed with respect to the accuracy of modal identification analysis. Time-unsynchronized signals are analytically examined to quantify uncertainties and their corresponding errors in modal identification results. Thirdly, a modified approach using complex mode shapes is proposed to reduce the unsynchronization-induced errors in modal identification. In the new way, complex mode shapes are extracted from unsynchronized signals to deal both with modal amplitudes and with phase angles. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed approach is evaluated from numerical and experimental tests by comparing with the performance of existing approach using real mode shapes.

  • Recently, Intrusion detection system is an important technology in computer network system because of has seen a dramatic increase in the number of attacks. The most of intrusion detection methods do not detect intrusion on real-time because difficult to analyze an auditing data for intrusions. A network intrusion detection system is used to monitors the activities of individual users, groups, remote hosts and entire systems, and detects suspected security violations, by both insider and outsiders, as they occur. It is learns user's behavior patterns over time and detects behavior that deviates from these patterns. In this paper has rule-based component that can be used to encode information about known system vulnerabilities and intrusion scenarios. Integrating the two approaches makes Intrusion Detection System a comprehensive system for detecting intrusions as well as misuse by authorized users or Anomaly users (unauthorized users) using RFM analysis methodology and monitoring collect data from sensor Intrusion Detection System(IDS).
