Design and Implementation of a Real-time Bio-signal Obtaining, Transmitting, Compressing and Storing System for Telemedicine (원격 진료를 위한 실시간 생체 신호 취득, 전송 및 압축, 저장 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • The real-time bio-signal monitoring system based on the ZigBee and SIP/RTP has proposed and implemented for telemedicine but that has some problems at the stabilities to transmit bio-signal from the sensors to the other sides. In this paper, we designed and implemented a real-time bio-signal monitoring system that is focused on the reliability and efficiency for transmitting bio-signal at real-time. We designed the system to have enhanced architecture and performance in the ubiquitous sensor network, SIP/RTP real-time transmission and management of the database. The Bluetooth network is combined with ZigBee network to distribute traffic of the ECG and the other bio-signal. The modified and multiplied RTP session is used to ensure real-time transmission of ECG, other bio-signals and speech information on the internet. The modified ECG compression method based on DWLT and MSVQ is used to reduce data rate for storing ECG to the database. Finally we implemented a system that has improved performance for transmitting bio-signal from the sensors to the monitoring console and database. This implemented system makes possible to make various applications to serve U-health care services.

  • DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) exhausts the target server's resources using the large number of zombie pc, As a result normal users don't access to server. DDoS Attacks steadly increase by many attacker, and almost target of the attack is critical system such as IT Service Provider, Government Agency, Financial Institution. In this paper, We will introduce the CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) of deep learning based real-time detection system for DNS amplification Attack (DNS DDoS Attack). We use the dataset which is mixed with collected data in the real environment in order to overcome existing research limits that use only the data collected in the experiment environment. Also, we build a deep learning model based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) that is used in pattern recognition.

  • Automation of production in modern manufacturing is based on the integration of the various stage of production process by means of processing system. Information processing and network interface are of fundamental importance in programmable device in industrial automation, as they essential in order to active integration in production lines. In this paper, TBC(token bus controller) in the Mini-MAP board performs the function of the MAC sublayer, The LLC sublayer is implemented according to the specification of Class 3 that includes Type 1 and 3. And the MMS services are designed within the scope of implementation MAP 3.0 All the softwares are implemented under the real time executive for real time application of the Mini-MAP and they are loaded into PROMs at the network board. We tested the LLC functions to make use of a protocol analyzer for the token bus protocol. Also the MMS conformance test was carried out by exchanging primitives between a model system(including NIU) and a MMS product that had already passed the conformance the conformance test based on measurement method of network analysis.

  • This paper presents real-time online early fire warning systems developed for preserving cultural properties of Bulguksa which is a world heritage designated by UNESCO. The system is based on the ubiquitous sensor network employing 900MHz and 2.4GHz bands. In this paper, we analyze requirements that should be considered in building effective management systems of cultural heritages by using wireless sensor network. Finally, we introduce the architecture, sensor and network design, and software design of the fire warning systems which is an initial version of U-Bulguksa. The current version of systems has been operating in Bukguksa for a few months. U-Bukguksa project sponsored by National Information Society Agency is ultimately aimed at developing an integrated system of U-cultural heritage management and U-tourism. The former aims to conserve and manage intangible cultural properties by providing a variety of environmental information such as erosion, crack, and gradient as well as fire which are important causes of loss and damage in real-time and online. The latter refers to the intelligent tourism information and guidance systems allowing tourists to get the personalized content on cultural heritages and help guidance with mobile devices in Bulguksa.

  • According to the recent development of network technology, the demands of users are diversified and the needs of multimedia traffic are increasing. In general, UDP(User Datagram Protocol) traffic is used to transport multimedia data, which satisfied the real-time and isochronous characteristics. UDP traffic competes with TCP traffic and incur the network congestion. However, TCP traffic performs network congestion control but does not consider the receiver's status. Thus, it is not appropriate in case of streaming services. In this paper, we solve a fairness problems and proposed a network algorithm based on RTP/RTCP(Real-time Transport Protocol/Realtime Transport Control Protocol) in view of receiver status. The POBA(Priority Ordered Buffer Algorithm), which applies priorities in the receiver's buffer and networks, shows that it provides the appropriate environment for streaming services in view of packet loss ratio and buffer utilization of receiver's buffer compared with the previous method.

  • With the general use of network, cyber terror rages throughout the world. However, IP Fragmentation isn\`t free from its security problem yet, even though it guarantees effective transmission of the IP package in its network environment. Illegal invasion could happen or disturb operation of the system by using attack mechanism such as IP Spoofing, Ping of Death, or ICMP taking advantage of defectiveness, if any, which IP Fragmentation needs improving. Recently, apart from service refusal attack using IP Fragmentation, there arises a problem that it is possible to detour packet filtering equipment or network-based attack detection system using IP Fragmentation. In the paper, we generate the real time access log file to make the system manager help decision support and to make the system manage itself in case that some routers or network-based attack detection systems without packet reassembling function could not detect or suspend illegal invasion with divided datagrams of the packet. Through the implementation of the self-managing system we verify its validity and show its future effect.

Design and Implementation of Hand Gesture Recognizer Based on Artificial Neural Network (인공신경망 기반 손동작 인식기의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose a hand gesture recognizer using restricted coulomb energy (RCE) neural network, and present hardware implementation results for real-time learning and recognition. Since RCE-NN has a flexible network architecture and real-time learning process with low complexity, it is suitable for hand recognition applications. The 3D number dataset was created using an FPGA-based test platform and the designed hand gesture recognizer showed 98.8% recognition accuracy for the 3D number dataset. The proposed hand gesture recognizer is implemented in Intel-Altera cyclone IV FPGA and confirmed that it can be implemented with 26,702 logic elements and 258Kbit memory. In addition, real-time learning and recognition verification were performed at an operating frequency of 70MHz.

  • The rapid expansion of the real-time streaming industry is driven by the widespread adoption of portable devices and the growth of video platforms. Consequently, the demand for transmitting and receiving large volumes of content has increased, leading to traffic congestion and inefficiency in traditional IP address-based networks. To address these issues, Contents Centric Networking (CCN) is being researched as an alternative. CCN is a network architecture based on content names (what) rather than IP addresses (where), where each node has a cache space called Content Store (CS) to alleviate server bottlenecks and traffic congestion. However, in a CCN environment, the departure of intermediate nodes between clients and servers can lead to packet loss and degradation of service quality. Therefore, research on managing the departure of intermediate nodes in real-time environments is essential. This study proposes a new method for detecting the departure of intermediate nodes through RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) monitoring and for efficiently creating backup paths.

  • In this paper, we propose a precise time management and time synchronization based on real-time data storage and transmission scheme in design of seismic data acquisition system for urban earthquake disaster preventing system (UEDPS). It is possible to improve the performance of the existing research results through the proposed methods. To evaluate the performances of the proposed methods, we implemented a prototype system(H/W & S/W) and performed some experiments with real seismic data and test equipment generated data as the input.
