A Study on the Visual Attention of Game Broadcast Real-time Review Using Eye Tracking: Focusing on Mobile Platform (아이트래킹을 활용한 개인 게임방송 실시간 댓글의 시각적 주의에 관한 연구: 모바일 플랫폼을 중심으로)

  • The study investigated the users' functional requirement, degree of acceptance and preference of game broadcast real-time review .Secondly it comparatively analyzed the types and locations of game broadcast real-time review through eye tracking tech. The results show that users have high functional requirements and high acceptance for game broadcast real-time review but their preference has no significant correlation with the feature. Among the types of game broadcast real-time review the type with translucent text bubble took the highest visual attention. The above shows that the users' visual behavior has the tendency of special style. The visual attention analysis results of different types and locations of game broadcast real-time review in the study can play a guiding role in the interface design of real-time review feature in the future.

  • For recent years, data broadcast technology has been recognized as a very effective data delivery mechanism in mobile computing environment with a large number of cli;ents. Especially, a hybrid broadcast algorithm in real-time environment, which integrates one-way broadcast and on-demand broadcast, has an advantage of adapting the requests of clients to a limited up-link bandwidth and following the change of data access pattern. However, previous hybrid broadcasting algorithms has a problem in the methods to get a grip on the change of data access Pattern. It is caused by the diminution of requests for the data items which are contained in periodic broadcasting schedule because they are already broadcasted. To solve this problem, existing researches may remove data items in periodic broadcasting schedule over a few cycles multiplying cooling factor or find out the requests of data items with extracting them on purpose. Both of them are the artificial methods not considering the property of data. In this paper, we propose a real-time adaptive hybrid broadcasting based on data type(RTAHB-DT) to broadcast considering data property and analysis the performance of our aigorithm through simulation study.

Real-Time Communication of Periodic Messages on Wireless Sensor and Actor Networks (무선 센서-엑터 네트워크에서 주기적 메시지의 실시간 전송)

  • Wireless network technologies are becoming more widely used in industrial environment. The industrial communication system requires a real-time delivery of messages. The sensors periodically senses the physical environment and wants to deliver the data in real-time to the sink. This paper proposes a real-time protocol for periodic messages on wireless sensor and actor networks to be used in industrial communications. The proposed protocol delivers the data message using the shortest path from the source and the nearest actor. The protocol considers the energy consumption by reducing the number of broadcast messages during flooding. We have evaluated the performance of the proposed protocol using QualNet simulator. The simulation results show that the data messages have been delivered in real-time and the number of broadcast messages is reduced from 90% to 35% compared the existing protocols.

  • In this paper, we address practical methods for calculating camera lens distortion for real time applications. Although the lens distortion problem can be easily ignored for constant-parameter lenses, in the field of real-time camera calibrations, for zoom lenses a large number of calculations are needed to calculate the distortion. However, if the distortion can be calculated independently of the other camera parameter, we can easily calibrate a camera without the need for a large number of calculations. Based on Tsai's camera model, we propose two different methods for calculating lens distortion. These methods are so simple and require so few calculations that the lens distortion can be rapidly calculated even in real-time applications. The first method is to refer to the focal length - lens distortion Look Up Table(LUT), which is constructed in the initialization process. The second method is to use the relationship between the feature points found in the image. Experiments were carried out for both methods, results of which show that the proposed methods are favorably comparable in performance with non-real full optimization method.

UCI Embedder: A Real-time Broadcast-Content-Identifier Watermarking System for Broadcast Content Distribution Services (방송콘텐츠 유통서비스를 위한 실시간 콘텐츠식별자 은닉삽입 시스템)

  • We introduce the standard content identifier Universal Content Identifier (UCI) and a watermarking system that embeds UCI for the broadcast content distribution services. Our proposed UCI embedder is designed in consideration of integrating with the previously established broadcast system and protecting the illegal distribution of broadcast contents. Our goal is that when broadcast content is transmitted, 28 byte UCI is embedded imperceptibly in the content itself in real-time and the embedded UCI is successfully extracted not only in the typical format used in the broadcast content distribution service but also in the illegally distributed broadcast contents. Usually the illegally distributed contents are modified from the original by changing resolutions, frame rates, or adjusting colors. In this paper, we present a watermarking scheme that embeds 28 byte UCI in broadcast content in real-time while keeping the visual quality high and the embedded watermark robust enough to survive through the various modification. The experimental results show that the embedded UCI remains in the various modified versions of content and that the visual degradation by embedding is not noticeable.

  • High-quality digital broadcasting contents are susceptible to illegal copy and unauthorized redistribution, which makes broadcasters difficult to protect valuable media assets. So, broadcasters and content providers need the technology for copyright protection of professional digital content. Digital watermarking technology is one of the most actively developed solutions for the copyright protection. This paper suggests the requirements of watermarking technology in DTV(Digital TV) environment for copyright protection and shows the developed real-time watermark embedding/detecting system for HD(High Definition)/SD(Standard Definition) video and experimental results of the system against watermark attack tests. Our watermarking system meets the watermarking requirements of invisibility, robustness and security of DTV environment.

  • In this paper, we present a real-time method to detect moving objects in a rotating and zooming camera. It is useful for camera surveillance of fixed but rotating camera, camera on moving car, and so on. We first compensate the global motion, and then exploit the displaced frame difference (DFD) to find the block-wise boundary. For robust detection, we propose a kind of image to combine the detections from consecutive frames. We use the block-wise detection to achieve the real-time speed, except the pixel-wise DFD. In addition, a fast block-matching algorithm is proposed to obtain local motions and then global affine motion. In the experimental results, we demonstrate that our proposed algorithm can handle the real-time detection of common object, small object, multiple objects, the objects in low-contrast environment, and the object in zooming camera.

  • Handwritten letter recognition is important for numerous real-world applications and many topics like human-machine interaction, education, entertainment, and more. This paper describes the implementation of a real-time handwritten letters recognition system on a common embedded computer. Recognition is performed using a customized convolutional neural network, which was designed to work with low computational resources such as the Raspberry Pi platform. The experimental results show that the proposed real-time system achieves an outstanding performance in the accuracy rate and the response time for recognition of twenty-six handwritten letters.

  • Recently a study of Virtual-Reality becomes active. Expectation to 3-D reproduction technology rises with it. Electro-holography using Spatial light modulator (SLM) attracts attention, because natural 3-D animated image is provided. In this paper recent development of 3D-TV by Electro-holography is reported. We consider the conditions to holographic TV such as input, transmission and display systems. Also we consider about fast hologram calculation because It is important to execute hologram calculation at high speed to realize the real time electro-holography. Then we consider the possibility of real time holography.
