정성적 추론을 이용한 일상의 자연 현상에 대한 추론 (Everyday Physical Reasoning by Qualitative Reasoning)

  • 유연성과 광범위성을 갖는 대규모 인지 시스템의 구축을 위해서는 전문적인 지식 뿐 아니라 상식수준의 지식에 기초한 추론을 제공하는 필수 불가결하다. 본 논문에서는 정성적 추론을 이용하여 일상에서의 다양한 자연 현상에 대한 상식 추론을 제공하는 인지시스템에 대하여 소개하고자 한다. 기존의 정성적 추론은 다양한 일상의 개념과는 동떨어진 추상적인 개념에 기초하여 추론을 전개하여, 상식 추론에 이용되기에는 어려움이 있었다 본 연구에서는 기존의 정성적 추론을 범용의 대용량 Cyc 지식베이스에 접목하여, 스케치와 일상의 개념에 기초한 상식 추론을 제공하고자 하였다. 본 시스템은 구현되어 여러 예제에 적용되어 그 실효성을 입증할 수 있었다.

  • This study aims to analyze fourteen cases' HRR & SPR results on bed mattress's reaction-to-fire test in real scale where open flame burner system is used with total heat supply of 27 kW. Most cases show all burning within 5 minutes from the beginning of the test and 3 cases of them reach flashover situation.

  • This study aims to validate predictive capabilities of FDS for the pool fire in three rooms connected to ventilation network. The three rooms in real scale fire test facility are configured to be similar to that of nuclear power plant in size, ventilation condition, construction material, etc. Basically three rooms are confined to the other area except two open doors and two ventilation duct in each room. The real scale fire test was conducted with these conditions and the predictive capabilities of FDS will be validated by comparing FDS simulation results with experimental data from the temperature, heat flux, and concentration point of view. This study concludes that temperature from FDS is about 25 % lower deviation from the experiment, and heat flux from FDS is about 5% deviation.

건축물 외벽화재시 Flame Trajectory 추정을 위한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Flame Trajectory in Building External Walls Fire)

  • In the event of a fire on the outer walls of an architectural structure, through real scale experiments with the purpose of estimating the Flame Trajectory, the behavior and risks of expanded combustion to an upper architectural compartment of the Fire Plume Ejected from an Opening according to changes in the aspect ratio of the opening were examined. The results showed that the more the heat release rate of the fire source increased, the heat capacity of the Fire Plume Ejected from the Opening also increased, and for the case of heptane when compared with methanol or ethanol, the results showed a trend for a significant amount of unburned gas to remain. The results also showed that the larger the aspect ratio was, the more likely it was for the Flame Trajectory to approach the outer walls and rise up. In each of the experiment conditions, as the flame rose from the lower part of the wall to the upper part of the wall, a steady decrease was shown for the temperature distribution. Also by quantitatively analyzing the amount of unburned gas that remained, a method to estimate the temperature of the Fire Plume Ejected from an Opening for a traverse opening was implemented.

  • In this study, we looked into the method to establish fire growth rate by buildings use for growing fire at the beginning of a fire considering the characteristics of the combustibles in a performance-based design. Actual conditions survey and literature review were carried out for the fire load and exposed surface area of combustibles to establish design fire by domestic building use. As a results, a simplified prediction equation of fire growth rate which depends on fire load and weight of combustibles could be derived by calculating the relation between the fire load and the fire growth rate of an initial fire through investigation of combustibles by domestic building use.Also, as a result of analyzing the placement of combustibles and location of the ignition source, it was found that the influence of the materials of the combustibles and the materials of the combustibles adjacent to the ignition source is big. Though 4 different experiments were carried out for the evaluation, the result of comparing the findings with those of FGR model showed that the fire growth rate was similarly derived.

Depth-hybrid speeded-up robust features (DH-SURF) for real-time RGB-D SLAM

  • This paper presents a novel feature detection algorithm called depth-hybrid speeded-up robust features (DH-SURF) augmented by depth information in the speeded-up robust features (SURF) algorithm. In the keypoint detection part of classical SURF, the standard deviation of the Gaussian kernel is varied for its scale-invariance property, resulting in increased computational complexity. We propose a keypoint detection method with less variation of the standard deviation by using depth data from a red-green-blue depth (RGB-D) sensor. Our approach maintains a scale-invariance property while reducing computation time. An RGB-D simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) system uses a feature extraction method and depth data concurrently; thus, the system is well-suited for showing the performance of the DH-SURF method. DH-SURF was implemented on a central processing unit (CPU) and a graphics processing unit (GPU), respectively, and was validated through the real-time RGB-D SLAM.

Real scale lunar apparent albedo and moonshine simulation with improved 3D lunar optical model with Apollo 10084 soil sample

  • Using Fresnel reflection and Hapke BRDF model with Apollo 10084 soil sample's scattering properties, we constructed a real scale optical lunar model and used it to simulate lunar apparent albedo and moonshine. For Fresnel reflection, the refractive index of $1.68{\pm}0.5$ was used. For Hapke BRDF parameters from BUGs BRDF measurement, the single scattering with w=0.33, hot spot width h=0.017, average phase angle ${\zeta}$=-0.086 and Legendre polynomial coefficients b=0.308, c=0.425 in wavelength 700nm with two types of Henyey-Greenstein phase function was applied. The computation model includes the Sun as a Lambertian scattering sphere, emitting 1.5078 W/m2 at 700nm in wavelength. The Sun and Moon models were then imported into the IRT based radiative transfer computation. The trial simulation of the irradiance levels of moonshine lights shows that they agree well with the ROLO measurement data. We then estimate the lunar apparent albedo to 0.11. The results are to be compared with the measurement data.

Bitcoin Lightning Network의 강건성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Robustness of the Bitcoin Lightning Network)

  • Bitcoin은 블록체인을 활용한 최초의 어플리케이션으로 새로운 지불 수단으로 각광받고 있지만, 확장성에 있어서 한계점을 갖는다. Lightning Network의 개념은 최근 Bitcoin의 확장성 문제를 다루기 위해 소개되었다. 본 논문에서는 실제 Bitcoin Lightning Network가 scale-free 특성을 갖는다는 것을 밝혔다. 따라서 임의 노드 실패에 강건한 반면, 네트워크의 특정 노드를 목표로 하는 공격에 대해 취약할 수 있다. 네트워크 공격 모델의 시뮬레이션을 통해 Bitcoin Lightning Network의 강건성을 실험적으로 분석했으며, 시뮬레이션 결과는 실제로 Lightning Network가 높은 차수를 갖는 소수의 노드를 파괴하는 공격에 취약하다는 것을 보여 준다.

교과교실제 중학교의 평면구성 분석연구 - 2013년 LH 현상설계안과 실시설계의 비교 - (A Study on the Plan Composition of Departmental Classroom Type in Middle School - Comparison Design Competition with Construction Design about LH in 2013-)

  • After the introduction of the 7th education program, educational facilities have been requested to change to face new curriculums and have been planned. The purpose of this study is to fill up a gap between the study of education facilities, building planning and real educational spot and also find difference of plan composition by analyzing latest middle school floor plans. In this regard, floor plans of 8 middle schools proposed in LH design competition is compared and analyzed in this study. To sum up this analysis, the guide lines suggested from Korean educational development institute(KEDI) has not been followed in many building planning. For subject classrooms, guide lines from KEDI were ignored and support facilities did not planned as necessary space calculated through scale estimation program. To select a planned proposal in the future, demand of scale estimation, various studies, real educational spot and etc. should be reflected.

PTC태양열 집열기를 이용한 슬러지 열탈수 연구 (Study on Thermal Dewatering of Sludge Using the Parabolic Through Collector(PTC) Solar Collector)

  • A fiat-plate or vacuum tube solar collector have been mainly used for hot water supply of house because of some being difficult to get uniform energy density, so little applied into industrial field. This study is to apply the PTC(parabolic trough collector) solar collector into industrial field such as sludge dewatering system for energy reduction. The real scale system which composed of PTC Solar Collector and Thermal Dewatering (TDW) is established. PTC solar collector is designed to produce a hot water with $80^{\circ}C$ of temperature. And size of TDW is $630{\times}630mm$. Hot water produced from PTC solar collector is supplied into heating plate of TDW, and sludge like waterworks or wastewater is dewatered. PTC solar collector with $10m^2$ of area produce energy of average 5,618 kcal. As according to results from real scale performance, solar collector takes charge 94 % of the amount that TDW consume energy which is so large part if compare with boiler. It means that PTC solar collector is useful to apply industrial field under the condition of sufficient solar radiation. And it is analyzed that TDW by PTC solar collector has an economical validity.
