A quantitative detection method for Salmonella in seafood was developed using a SYBR Green-based real-time PCR assay. The assay was developed using pure Salmonella DNA at different dilution levels [i.e., 1,000 to 2 genome equivalents (GE)]. The sensitivity of the real-time assay for Salmonella in seeded seafood samples was determined, and the minimum detection level was 20 CFU/g, whereas a detection level of 2 CFU/ml was obtained for pure culture in water with an efficiency of ${\geq}85%$. The real-time assay was evaluated in repeated experiments with seeded seafood samples and the regression coefficient ($R^2$) values were calculated. The performance of the real-time assay was further assessed with naturally contaminated seafood samples, where 4 out of 9 seafood samples tested positive for Salmonella and harbored cells <100 GE/g, which were not detected by direct plating on Salmonella Chromagar media. Thus, the method developed here will be useful for the rapid quantification of Salmonella in seafood, as the assay can be completed within 2-3 h. In addition, with the ability to detect a low number of Salmonella cells in seafood, this proposed method can be used to generate quantitative data on Salmonella in seafood, facilitating the implementation of control measures for Salmonella contamination in seafood at harvest and post-harvest levels.

Due to the angle of view, illumination and scene diversity, real-time dynamic face detection and recognition is no small difficulty in those unrestricted environments. In this study, we used the intrinsic correlation between detection and calibration, using a multi-task cascaded convolutional neural network(MTCNN) to improve the efficiency of face recognition, and the output of each core network is mapped in parallel to a compact Euclidean space, where distance represents the similarity of facial features, so that the target face can be identified as quickly as possible, without waiting for all network iteration calculations to complete the recognition results. And after the angle of the target face and the illumination change, the correlation between the recognition results can be well obtained. In the actual application scenario, we use a multi-camera real-time monitoring system to perform face matching and recognition using successive frames acquired from different angles. The effectiveness of the method was verified by several real-time monitoring experiments, and good results were obtained.

RTLS (Real-time locating systems) are used for tracking the location of people or assets in real time. In this system, RTLS readers continuously communicate with RTLS tags for measuring time or ranges and location engine tries to calculate accurate location of tags. However, when we attempt to apply this system to real world, the non-line-of-sight(NLOS) problem can be critical to the system performance because of the obstacles. In this paper, we suggest a new location estimation method for an NLOS environment using a reader-selection strategy. We have implemented all components of the locating system and carried out experiments in a test-bed. The accuracy of the system is 50% better than that of the existing general locating system.

For real-time recognizing of the load vehicles a new Neural Network algorithm is proposed. The proposed neural network technique is the real time computation method through the inter-node diffusion. In the network, a node corresponds to a state in the quantized input space. Each node is composed of a Processing unit and fixed weights from its neighbor nodes as well as its input terminal. The most reliable algorithm derived for real time recognition of vehicles, is a dynamic programming based algorithm based on sequence matching techniques that would process the data as it arrives and could therefore provide continuously updated neighbor information estimates. Through severa simulation experiments, real time reconstruction nonlinear image information is Processed. 1-D hardware has been composed and various experi with static and dynamic signals have implemented.

In this paper, a new user identification method is presented using real environmental human-computer-interaction (HCI) behavior data to improve method usability. User behavior data in this paper are collected continuously without setting experimental scenes such as text length, action number, etc. To illustrate the characteristics of real environmental HCI data, probability density distribution and performance of keyboard and mouse data are analyzed through the random sampling method and Support Vector Machine(SVM) algorithm. Based on the analysis of HCI behavior data in a real environment, the Multiple Kernel Learning (MKL) method is first used for user HCI behavior identification due to the heterogeneity of keyboard and mouse data. All possible kernel methods are compared to determine the MKL algorithm's parameters to ensure the robustness of the algorithm. Data analysis results show that keyboard data have a narrower range of probability density distribution than mouse data. Keyboard data have better performance with a 1-min time window, while that of mouse data is achieved with a 10-min time window. Finally, experiments using the MKL algorithm with three global polynomial kernels and ten local Gaussian kernels achieve a user identification accuracy of 83.03% in a real environmental HCI dataset, which demonstrates that the proposed method achieves an encouraging performance.

Visible-infrared image fusion is a process of synthesizing an infrared image and a visible image into a fused image. This process synthesizes the complementary advantages of both images. The infrared image is able to capture a target object in dark or foggy environments. However, the utility of the infrared image is hindered by the blurry appearance of objects. On the other hand, the visible image clearly shows an object under normal lighting conditions, but it is not ideal in dark or foggy environments. In this paper, we propose a multi-guided filter and a real-time image fusion method. The proposed multi-guided filter is a modification of the guided filter for multiple guidance images. Using this filter, we propose a real-time image fusion method. The speed of the proposed fusion method is much faster than that of conventional image fusion methods. In an experiment, we compare the proposed method and the conventional methods in terms of quantity, quality, fusing speed, and flickering artifacts. The proposed method synthesizes 57.93 frames per second for an image size of $320{\times}270$. Based on our experiments, we confirmed that the proposed method is able to perform real-time processing. In addition, the proposed method synthesizes flicker-free video.
The purpose of this study was to explore the factors influencing acceptance (e.g., comprehension,) and diffusion of information recipients' by depending on the authenticity of news. Specifically, this study has examined the effects of the news contents(political vs. general), need for cognition(high vs. low) and authenticity of the News(real news vs. fake news) on both acceptance and diffusion of news. Based on previous work, this study has developed a conceptual model to present each research hypothesis and tested it by conducting experiments as the follows. As a result, according to the authenticity of the news and the contents of the news (political and general), the acceptance of political contents was high regardless of the authenticity of the news, and the acceptance of real news was higher than that of fake news. However, in the proliferation (comment), both the political contents and the general contents showed the characteristic of spreading (commenting) fake news rather than real news. contrary to this, the cognitive level did not show any significant difference in acceptance (understanding) and proliferation (comment, sharing, recommendation). This study provides academic implications in that it examines the influences of accepting (comprehension) and diffusion (comment, sharing, recommendation) of real news and fake news. It also provides practical implications for responding to fake news and new marketing strategies in an environment where contents are delivered through diverse social media.

Object detection technology that accurately recognizes the road and surrounding conditions is a key technology in the field of autonomous driving. In the field of autonomous driving, object detection technology requires real-time performance as well as accuracy of inference services. Task offloading technology should be utilized to apply object detection technology for accuracy and real-time on resource-constrained devices rather than high-performance machines. In this paper, experiments such as performance comparison of task offloading, performance comparison according to input image resolution, and performance comparison according to camera object resolution were conducted and the results were analyzed in relation to the application of task offloading for real-time object detection of autonomous driving in resource-constrained devices. In this experiment, the low-resolution image could derive performance improvement through the application of the task offloading structure, which met the real-time requirements of autonomous driving. The high-resolution image did not meet the real-time requirements for autonomous driving due to the increase in communication time, although there was an improvement in performance. Through these experiments, it was confirmed that object recognition in autonomous driving affects various conditions such as input images and communication environments along with the object recognition model used.

Processes in the real-time distributed control systems share a network medium to exchange their data. Performance of feedback control loops in the real-time distributed control systems is subject to the network-induced delays from sensor to controller, and from controller to actuator. The network-induced delays are directly dependent upon the data sampling times of control components which share a network medium. In this study, an algorithm of determining data sampling times is developed using the "window concept". where the sampling datafrom the control components dynamically share a limited number of windows. The scheduling algorithm is validated through the aimulation experiments.
In this study, the frequency transfer function of motions are predicted from the result of a full-scale seakeeping trials. Because the real sea has the characteristics of multi-directional waves,we compare the results in the one directional waves with ones in the directional waves. For calculation of the frequency transfer function in the directional waves, Takezawa's inverse estimation method was introduced and the frequency ranges were divided into three parts in order to consider following seas. The full-scale seakeeping trials was executed in the south sea of Korea using the stern trawler. Those results show that analysis method of the multi-directional waves is more reliable than that of one directional waves, and confirm the possibility of applying this method to the full-scale seakeeping trials.
