The braced tube frame system, a combination of perimeter frame and bracing frame, is one of the systems used in tall buildings. Due to the implementation of this system in tall buildings and the high rigidity resulting from the use of general bracing, providing proper ductility while maintaining the strength of the structure when exposing to lateral forces is essential. Also, the high stress at the connection of the beam to the column may cause a sudden failure in the region before reaching the required ductility. The use of Reduced Beam Section connection (RBS connection) by focusing stress in a region away from beam to column connection is a suitable solution to the problem. Because of the fact that RBS connections are usually used in moment frames and not tested in tall buildings with braced tube frames, they should be investigated. Therefore, in this research, three tall buildings in height ranges of 20, 25 and 30 floors were modeled and designed by SAP2000 software, and then a frame in each building was modeled in PERFORM-3D software under two RBS-free system and RBS-based system. Nonlinear time history dynamic analysis is used for each frame under Manjil, Tabas and Northridge excitations. The results of the Comparison between RBS-free and RBS-based systems show that the RBS connections increased the absorbed energy level by reducing the stiffness and increasing the ductility in the beams and structural system. Also, by increasing the involvement of the beams in absorbing energy, the columns and braces absorb less energy.
Objective : Disaster causes psychological distress to a large number of people in a short period of time, by both direct and indirect exposure to traumatic events embedded in various realms of disaster experience. Optimal, well-planned treatment interventions should follow from the early acute period to recovery phase, extending up to several months later. In this context, there is an increasing need for systemic review to gain comprehensive insights for disaster interventions. These need to be added to public policy, and for the prevention and treatment of disaster-related psychopathology. Here, we review the published studies on psychological interventions for disaster-related posttraumatic stress disorder. Methods : Specific psychological interventions regarded as effective treatments for have been selected for this review, such as CBT (Cognitive-Behavior Therapy), Exposure Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), SIT (Stress Inoculation Therapy) and Psychoeducation. In addition, natural disasters, industrial disasters, and accidents involving aircraft and ships were also categorized as disasters, along with war and combat trauma. Results : Cognitive behavior therapy and exposure therapy had the strongest research support for effectiveness, and could be considered as the first-choice treatment for disaster-related PTSD. The second line of treatment is EMDR, although this treatment modality has the advantage of reaching certain treatment improvements in fewer sessions. However, the effects of SIT and psychoeducation to the survivors of disasters, remains unclear at this point. Additionally, we propose the possibilities of using virtual reality component and imagery rescripting as modified forms of traditional cognitive behavior therapy and exposure therapy. Conclusion : Cognitive behavior therapy and exposure therapy, deemed effective treatments for various trauma, are considered to be effective for survivors from disasters. However, the efficacy of other interventions has not yet been examined methodologically in well-designed studies, such as randomized controlled trials. In particular, future empirical studies are needed, since it is difficult to conclude that psychological interventions have similar effects on different types of disasters.
Background: Medication errors are common but most often preventable events in any health care setup. Studies on medication errors involving chemotherapeutic drugs are limited. Objective: We studied three aspects of medication errors - prescription, transcription and administration errors in 500 cancer patients who received ambulatory cancer chemotherapy at a resource limited setting government hospital attached cancer centre in South India. The frequency of medication errors, their types and the possible reasons for their occurrence were analysed. Design and Methods: Cross-sectional study using direct observation and chart review in anmbulatory day care unit of a Regional Cancer Centre in South India. Prescription charts of 500 patients during a three month time period were studied and errors analysed. Transcription errors were estimated from the nurses records for these 500 patients who were prescribed anticancer medications or premedication to be administered in the day care centre, direct observations were made during drug administration and administration errors analysed. Medical oncologists prescribing anticancer medications and nurses administering medications also participated. Results: A total of 500 patient observations were made and 41.6% medication errors were detected. Among the total observed errors, 114 (54.8%) were prescription errors, 51(24.5%) were transcribing errors and 43 (20.7%) were administration errors. The majority of the prescription errors were due to missing information (45.5%) and administration errors were mainly due to errors in drug reconstitution (55.8%). There were no life threatening events during the observation period since most of the errors were either intercepted before reaching the patient or were trivial. Conclusions: A high rate of potentially harmful medication errors were intercepted at the ambulatory day care unit of our regional cancer centre. Suggestions have been made to reduce errors in the future by adoption of computerised prescriptions and periodic sensitisation of the responsible health personnel.
The purpose of this study was to offer suitable model for performing Tippelt motion and data for training Tippelt motion through the quantitative kinematical analysis of Tippelt motion in parallel bars. The results of analysing kinematic variations through three-dimensional reflection analysis of three members of the national team as the objects of the study were shown as follows. 1. It seemed that the shoulder-joints which are stretched as much as possible affects the whole Tippelt motion while one is swinging downward. The time of process of the center of mass for the body reaching to the maximum flection point should be quick and body's moving from the vertical phase to the front direction should be controled as much as possible. 2. While one is swinging upward, the stability of flying motion could be made certain by the control of body's rapid moving to the front direction and stretching shoulder-joints and hip-joint to reverse direction. 3. While one is flying upward, the body should be erected quickly and lessening the angle of the hip-joint affects the elevation of flight. When the powerful counter turn motion is performed, the stable motion could be made. As a result of this study, It seems that sudden fall and the maximum stretch of shoulder-joints is important during performing Tippelt motion in parallel bars. Also, it concludes that the maximum bending of hip-joints at the starting point of upward swing, sudden stretch to the reverse direction of shoulder-joints and hip-joints when one is leaving bars, control of body's moving to the front direction, and lessening the angle of hip-joints at the flying phase is important.

The purpose of this study was to develop a caregiver's uniform that is appropriate for nursing and to improve movement adaptability as well as having a pleasing appearance. Based on the results of preliminary study, I investigated the inconvenience and problems with the existing uniforms and made a sample uniform taking into consideration the design, the material, and the pattern. We carried out a sensory assessment and quantitative assessment in order to compare the sample uniform with existing uniforms. Following are the results of this research. The top is a short-sleeved blouse with a round neckline having no collar and with armpit gussets. The armpit gussets are semicircles and the inverted pleats in the back are an improvement designed for activity. The pants are long reaching to the ankles with elastic in the waist so that the waist measurement may be adjusted. The length of the pants can be adjusted with strings and the pants have a funnel-shaped pocket for adjustment of length. We used a mix of polyurethane and polyester for the outer cloth of the uniform in order to improve activity function and used $Coolever^{TM}$, the sanitary textile that absorbs moisture well and dries in a short time, for gussets in the armpits, which is the heavy sweat area. The appearance assessment and movement adaptability assessment were performed with 5 subjects and 9 experts. For the results of the assessment, the sample uniform was appraised to be better than the existing uniforms in every item of an appearance comparison assessment except for the neckline assessment by the experts. As for the assessment of movement appropriateness and wearing assessment, the same subjects were used for analysis. As the results of the assessment, the sample uniform was rated higher than the existing uniforms in movement adaptability and pleasing appearance.
The absorption characteristics of Korean yam powder according to different drying methods were investigated. The physical properties of yam powder by different drying methods were showed the biggest porosity in freeze drying sample, while the smallest in hot air drying sample. No difference was founded in proximate compositions of yam powder by various drying methods. The amount of total phenolic compound and Vit C were showed the bigger decrement in freeze dried sample than other drying methods. The time reaching to equilibrium moisture content were determined in 12 days. Monolayer moisture contents were predicted to 0.0508∼0.0588 by BET equation and 0.0705∼0.0811 g H2O/g solid by GAB equation. BET equation for isothermal absorption curve showed over 0.95 R-square for every drying methods. GAB equation showed over 0.99 in vacuum and freeze drying but a poor R-square in hot air drying.

To improve the individual packaging method and extend the shelf life of hair tail(Trichiurus japonicus), salted an unsalted hair tail chunk (cut in 8-10cm) were packaged in laminated plastic film bag(Nylon/PE: $20{\mu}m,\;12{\times}15cm$) filled with with free-$O_2$ absorber, in vacuum, and stored at 0 and/or $5^{\circ}C$. The other samples were packaged in plastic foam trays, overwraped with oxygen permeable film(control), and stored at same temperature. Volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), trimethylamine (TMA) and viable cell counts (VCC) were progressed with increase of storage time, but thiobarbituric acid (TBA) values decreased gradually after reaching at a maximum peak in 5-15 days. Judging from 4 chemical components, VBN was the most available component in quality judgement of hair tail chunk and its upper limiting content was 29 mg%. Regression equation for shelf life prediction of hair tail chunk with sensory evalution and VBN component was determined.

In order to investigate the role of bacterial chemotaxis in root colonization, the chemotaxis potential of bacteria isolated from spinach roots was compared with that of bacteria from nonhizosphere soil, with reference to the plant age (1,000 isolates), soil moisture conditons (1,400 isolates), and part of the root (200 isolates). The % CT (% occurrence of chemotaxis (+) isolates among total bacterial isoltes) of the root isolates significantlyfluctuated during the plant growth period, reaching a maximum after 10-15 days of growth. At this time period, the maximum % CT for the root isolates was around 70-80% CT under a soil moisture 50% WFP (% volume of water-filled pores in total soil pores), and then gradually reduced with an increasing % WFP. The results of the chemotaxis potential of each of the 100 islates from the spinach roots and nonrhizosphere soil under various % WFP demonstrated that the % CT of the root isolates were significantly higher than those of solates from the nonrhizosphere soil under a wide range of soil moisture content (35-80% WFP). Furthermore, the % CT value (80%) from the upper root was significantly higher than tht (55%) from the lower root. Compared with the % CT values of the roots, the values from the nonrhizosphere soil did not significantly vary relative to the plant age of % WFP. These results indicate that chemotaxis would appear to be a major factor in bacterial root colonization.
Background Negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is believed to accelerate wound healing by altering wound microvascular blood flow. Although many studies using laser Doppler have found that NPWT increases perfusion, recent work using other modalities has demonstrated that perfusion is reduced. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of NPWT on tissue oxygenation of the foot, which is the most sensitive region of the body to ischemia. Methods Transcutaneous partial pressure of oxygen ($TcpO_2$) was used to determine perfusion beneath NPWT dressings of 10 healthy feet. The sensor was placed on the tarso-metatarsal area of the foot and the NPWT dressing was placed above the sensor. $TcpO_2$ was measured until it reached a steady plateau state. The readings obtained at the suction-on period were compared with the initial baseline (pre-suction) readings. Results $TcpO_2$ decreased significantly immediately after applying NPWT, but gradually increased over time until reaching a steady plateau state. The decrease in $TcpO_2$ from baseline to the steady state was 2.9 to 13.9 mm Hg (mean, $9.3{\pm}3.6$ mm Hg; $13.5{\pm}5.8%$; P<0.01). All feet reached a plateau within 20 to 65 minutes after suction was applied. Conclusions NPWT significantly decrease tissue oxygenation of the foot by 2.9 to 13.9 mm Hg. NPWT should be used with caution on feet that do not have adequate tissue oxygenation for wound healing.
In the vegetative hyphae of Aspergillus nidulans, a zymogenic form of the class I chitin synthase activity was successfully measured by the assay condition for Saccharomyces cerevisiae class I chitin synthase, Chsl. The class I chitin synthase activity of the A. nidulans chsC wild type strain was increased about six-fold by trypsin-pretreatment, but that of the chsC disruption strain revealed no increase. Interestingly enough, level of the class I chitin synthase activity of the chsC disruption strain was almost the same as that of the chsC wild type without trypsin-pretreatment. These results indicated that the A. nidulans ChsC activity could be measured by account-ing the class I chitin synthase activity without the trypsin-pretreatment as an internal control. Consistence to the expression pattern of the chsC revealed by northern blot analysis, the activity of ChsC was increased upon reaching the culture time for acquiring developmental competence. Our results shown here also supported the previous report suggesting the possible involvement of ChsC in vegetative hyphal growth of A. nidulans.
