Low velocity impact test and compressive residual strength test after impact were performed by using Hercules AS4/3501-6[45/0/-45/90]$_{2s}$ laminated plate to investigate the low velocity impact damage behavior and the post-impact strength degradation on orthotropic composite laminate plate. Due to the lateral impact losd, the load path showed "" shape according to the laminate central deflection. Damage in a laminate occurs by inclined matrix crack at the damage initiation load stage and vertical matrix crack, occurs on the outer surface. Evaluating the compressive residual strength after the low velocty impact test, it could be found that there is a transient range where the compressive residual strength drop suddenly in the initial damage which is in the matrix crack range and the initial delamination area. is in the matrix crack range and the initial delamination area.
Passive radiative cooling is a promising technology for cooling objects without energy input. Passive radiative cooling works by radiating heat from the surface, which then passes through the atmosphere and into space. Achieving efficient passive radiative cooling is mainly accomplished by using materials with high emissivity in the atmospheric window (8-13 ㎛). Research has shown that polymers tend to exhibit high emissivity in this spectral range. In addition to elastomers, other materials with potential for passive radiative cooling include metal oxides, carbon-based materials, and polymers. The structure of a passive radiative cooling device can affect its cooling performance. For example, a device with a large surface area will have a greater amount of surface area exposed to the sky, which increases the amount of thermal radiation emitted. Passive radiative cooling has a wide range of potential applications, including building cooling, electronics cooling, healthcare, and transportation. Current research has focused on improving the efficiency of passive radiative cooling materials and devices. With further development, passive radiative cooling can significantly affect a wide range of sectors.

This paper presents a wide band, fine-resolution digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) with an on-chip 3-D solenoid inductor using the 0.13 ${\mu}m$ digital CMOS process. The on-chip solenoid inductor is vertically constructed by using Metal and Via layers with a horizontal scalability. Compared to a spiral inductor, it has the advantage of occupying a small area and this is due to its 3-D structure. To control the frequency of the DCO, active capacitor and active inductor are tuned digitally. To cover the wide tuning range, a three-step coarse tuning scheme is used. In addition, the DCO gain needs to be calibrated digitally to compensate for gain variations. The DCO with solenoid inductor is fabricated in 0.13 ${\mu}m$ process and the die area of the solenoid inductor is 0.013 $mm^2$. The DCO tuning range is about 54 % at 4.1 GHz, and the power consumption is 6.6 mW from a 1.2 V supply voltage. An effective frequency resolution is 0.14 kHz. The measured phase noise of the DCO output at 5.195 GHz is -110.61 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset.

The monolayer behaviors at the air-water interface and the dielectric properties of MI-0 LB films for complex concentration were investigated by the surface pressure-area ($\pi$-A) isotherms and dielectric constant. The molecular area was expanded with increase of metal ions concentration. It is considered that the expansion of molecular area is due to electrostatic repulsion between the polymer chains andhydrophobic increase of ionic strength. In the frequency-dependent complex dielectric constant at room temperature, the real part of dielectric constant($\varepsilon'$) is about 6.0~10.0 in the low-frequency range and is decreasing slowly upto $1O^4$Hz. It decreased abruptly near $1O^5Hz$. It seems to be dielectric dispersion in this frequency range. Also, the imaginary part of dielectric constant ($\varepsilon"$) shows a peak in $1O^5$~$1O^6Hz$. It seems to be dielectric absorption in this frequency range.ange.
The deep ocean engineering basin (DOEB) of the Korea Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) is equipped with an extreme-environment reproduction facility that can analyze the motion characteristics of offshore structures and ships. In recent years, there have been requirements for a wide range of six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) motion measurements for performing maneuvering tests and free-running tests of target objects (offshore structures or ships). This study introduces the process of developing a wide-area motion measurement technology by incorporating the auto-tracking technology of the towing carriage system to overcome the existing 6-DOF motion measurement limitation. To realize a wide range of motion measurements, the automatic tracking control system of the towing carriage in the DOEB was designed as a speed control method. To verify the control performance, the characteristics of the towing carriage according to the variation in control gain were analyzed. Finally, a wide range of motions was tested using a model test object (a remotely operated vehicle (ROV)), and the wide-area motion measurement technology was implemented using an automatic tracking control system for a towing carriage.
In this paper, we examine a long-range dependence in an active measurement of a network traffic which has been a well known characteristic from analyses of a passive network traffic measurement. To this end, we utilize RTT(Round Trip Time), which is a typical active measurement measured by PingER project, and perform a relevant analysis to a time series of both RTT and its volatilities. The RTT time series exhibits a long-range dependence or a 1/f noise. The volatilities, defined as a higher-order variation, follow a log-normal distribution. Furthermore, volatilities show a long-range dependence in relatively short time intervals, and a long-range dependence and/or 1/f noise in long time intervals. From this study, we find that the long-range dependence is a characteristic of not only a passive traffic measurement but also an active measurement of network traffic such as RTT. From these findings, we can infer that the long-range dependence is a characteristic of network traffic independent of a type of measurements. In particular, an active measurement exhibits a 1/f noise which cannot be usually found in a passive measurement.
Since the Industrial Revolution has caused global change by using of a fossil fuel, a reckless and growth-oriented development. A global mean temperature since 19th century has climbed up 0.4~$0.8^{\circ}C$. Our country, afterwards, global warming has increased the temperature every season. After The Kyoto Protocol regarding a greenhouse gas reduction goal took effect, be situations that decrease of greenhouse gas was acutely required. Therefore, interest of utilization of the new & renewable energy is increasing everyday. In advanced research, we shows that at first divided a country to nine range by natural geography, and second executed Meteorological data analysis of recent 30 years considering level of significance by nine range. The results of advanced research are that the similarities are low because there are the regions that temperature deviation of the similar climate regions is large in winter season, and there are not characteristics of clear discrimination of temperature. This study shows that at first divided a country to six range by temperature range, and second executed Meteorological data analysis of recent 30 years considering level of significance by six range. The results of this study are that in heating load calculation of building, periodic temperature data management is required because facility capacity and cost are affected greatly by outdoor temperature, and temperature by climate range needs consideration of pertinent area. Ground temperature was assumed of the weather in region, the ground and soil. Lastly, we were able to know that establishment of climate region by temperature range can be useful policy making and plans of design of the horticultural facilities and architectures.

The main aim of this study is to estimate home-range of the Korean raccoon dog(Nyctereutes procyonoides koreensis) at a rural area of Gurye in the southern part of South Korea. A radio-tracking was regularly carried out on 4 raccoon dogs for 2 days every 2 months in 2006. During the days, the radio-tracking was usually conducted every 1-3 hours through day-time to night-time. Among the 4 raccoon dogs, 2 individuals(a permanent breeding pair) could be extensively tracked for 5 to 7 months, including all 4 seasons. The result showed that total home-range sizes of the pair were 0.732 $km^2$ and 0.373 $km^2$ for 100% minimum convex polygons(MCP) and 100% kernel(K), respectively, during the monitoring period. Mean home-range sizes of the 2 raccoon dogs were 0.035-0,688 $km^2$ and 0.012-0.341 $km^2$ for MCP and K, respectively. Yearly home-range sizes of the male and female were similar to each other. However, home-range sizes of the raccoon dogs between day-time and night-time were quite different. Furthermore, the raccoon dogs showed a much broader home-range size in spring, summer and fall than in winter season. Finally, the pair had a broad overlapping home-range(about 70-95%), and 1 core area and 4 different feeding areas.
The sanitary quality of a shellfish-growing area in Kamak Bay, Korea, was assessed through a bacteriological examination of seawater and oysters from January 2004 to December 2006. From seawater samples collected at 28 stations, the range of geometric mean (GM) and the estimated 90th percentile for most-probable-number (MPN) values of fecal coliforms were <1.8-2.4 MPN/100 mL and 1.8-6.0 MPN/100 mL, respectively. The observed fecal coliform GM and the estimated 90th percentile did not exceed the fecal coliform water quality standards of 14 MPN/100 mL and 43 MPN/100 mL. Therefore, the bacteriological quality of seawater at this shellfish-growing area met the Korean Shellfish Sanitation Program (KSSP) criteria for a growing area used for export. The range of the fecal coliform GM and the estimated 90th percentile MPN values of oyster samples were 19.2-160 MPN/100 g and 20.2-166.9 MPN/100 g, respectively, and the range of the viable cell count was 30-1900 CFU/g. Thus, the fecal coliform value for the oysters and the viable cell count were less than the current shellfish quality standards of 230 MPN/100 g and 50,000 CFU/g, respectively. The bacteriological quality of the oysters complied with the criteria for domestic use and export of shellfish.
The trend of the PM10 concentrations in the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) is reviewed and relative contributions of major contributors (paved road emissions and long-range transport from outside the SMA) are discussed. It was shown that the PM10 concentrations in the SMA have generally decreased except Incheon between 1999 and 2005. Further, it was identified that the difference of the PM10 mass concentration between the roadside stations and urban ambient stations has decreased between 2004 and 2008. Based on the emission estimates, it was suggested that the reduction of resuspension of aerosols on the road is the major reason for that. Based on the modeling results, it was identified that outside effects be about 30% of the ambient PM10 concentration in the SMA. Further research and policy issues to identify major sources of PM10 in the SMA are discussed.
