  • Effects of backing conditions on the impedance tube measurement are investigated experimentally, by using several pairs of generally employed end conditions. The results show that the measured values are similar for most of pairs, except the case of using an open pipe condition. In addition, the random error is investigated in the viewpoint of the variation of test conditions. The multi-termination method is suggested for minimizing such a random error.

이방성 섬유의 배열이 복합재료의 응력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Anisotropic Fiber Packing on Stresses in Composites)

  • In order to investigate effects of anisotropic fiber packing on stresses in composites, a Volume Integral Equation Method is applied to calculate the elastostatic field in an unbounded isotropic elastic medium containing multiple orthotropic inclusions subject to remote loading, and a Mixed Volume and Boundary Integral Equation Method is introduced for the solution of elastostatic problems in unbounded isotropic materials containing multiple anisotropic inclusions as well as one void under uniform remote loading. A detailed analysis of stress fields at the interface between the isotropic matrix and the central orthotropic inclusion is carried out for square, hexagonal and random packing of orthotropic cylindrical inclusions, respectively. Also, an analysis of stress fields at the interface between the isotropic matrix and the central orthotropic inclusion is carried out, when it is assumed that a void is replaced with one inclusion adjacent to the central inclusion of square, hexagonal and random packing of orthotropic cylindrical inclusions, respectively, due to manufacturing and/or service induced defects. The effects of random orthotropic fiber packing on stresses at the interface between the isotropic matrix and the central orthotropic inclusion are compared with the influences of square and hexagonal orthotropic fiber packing on stresses. Through the analysis of plane elastostatic problems in unbounded isotropic matrix with multiple orthotropic inclusions and one void, it will be established that these new methods are very accurate and effective for investigating effects of general anisotropic fiber packing on stresses in composites.

한국의 수질오염이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석 (An Analysis of the Effects of Water Pollution on Life Satisfaction in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 한국노동패널(Korea Labor and Income Panel Study, KLIPS) 제1차~제15차년도 자료와 환경부에서 제공하는 수질자료를 이용하여, 개인의 전반적인 생활만족도(life satisfaction)가 수질오염으로 대표되는 환경오염에 의해 어떻게 영향을 받는가를 실증적으로 분석한 것이다. 서수적 순서를 가진 종속변수의 특성과 패널자료의 이질성을 감안하여 패널 확률효과 순서형 프로빗(panel random-effects ordered probit) 모형으로 추정하였다. 수질오염도를 반영하는 지표로는 생물화학적 산소요구량(biochemical oxygen demand, BOD), 총인(total phosphorus, TP) 농도를 사용하였다. 또한 기존의 연구에서와 같이 개인의 경제적 특성, 사회 인구학적 특성을 동시에 고려하였다. 분석 결과 BOD, TP 모두 개인의 생활만족도에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그 외 다른 변수들은 선행연구에서 나타난 결과와 유사하다. 자신의 소득 증가, 연령, 기혼, 자가주택 보유, 건강, 여성, 높은 교육수준은 생활만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 타인의 소득 증가, 실업자, 도시거주, 자영업자인 경우는 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

직업성 전자장 노출과 백혈병 발생에 관한 메타분석 (Relationship between Occupational Electromagnetic Field Exposure and Leukemia : A Meta-Analysis)

  • Objectives : This study uses meta-analysis methodology to examine the statistical consistency and importance of random variation among results of epidemiologic studies of occupational electromagnetic field exposure and leukemia. Methods : Studies for this meta-analysis were identified from previous reviews and by asking researcher active in this field for recommendations. Overall, 27 studies of occupational electromagnetic field exposures and leukemia were reviewed. A variety of meta-analysis statistical methods have been used to assess combined effects, to identify heterogeneity, and to provide a single summary risk estimate based on a set of simiar epidemiologic studies. In this study, classification of exposure metircs on occupational epidemiologic studies are reported for (1) job classification (20 individual studies); (2) leukemia subtypes (13 individual studies); and (3) country (27 individual studies). Results : Results of this study, an inverse-variance weighted pooling of all the data leads to a small but significant elevation in risk of f 1% (OR=1.11, 95% CI : $1.06\sim1.16$) among 27 occupational epidemiologic studies. Publication bias was assessed by the 'fail-safe n' that may be not influence for all combined results exception a few categories, ie, 'power station operators' and 'electric utility workers' by job classification on occupational study. And ail combined odds ratio results were similar for fixed-effects models and random-effects models, with slightly higher risk estimates for the random-effects model in situations where there was significant heterogeneity, ie, Q-statistic significant (p<.05). Conclusions : We found a small elevation in risk of leukemia, but the ubiquitous nature of exposure to electromagnetic fields from workplace makes even a weak association a public health issue of substantial power to influence the present overall conclusion about relationship between electromagnetic fields exposure and leukemia.

선형혼합모형을 활용한 생물학적 동등성 분석 (Bio-Equivalence Analysis using Linear Mixed Model)

  • 생동성 시험과 같은 임상약리학분야의 연구는 일반적으로 한 개체 내에서 반복하여 측정된 자료구조를 사용하므로 선형혼합모형을 이용하여 분석하는 것이 보편적이다. 이러한 모형에서 랜덤효과는 개체 내 관측 자료 사이의 상관관계를 설명하고, 공분산행렬은 개체-내 변동을 설명한다. 생동성 분석은 두 약물의 약동학적 변수인 Cmax와 AUC의 기하평균비에 대한 90% 신뢰구간이 동등성 한계인 [0.8, 1.25] 범위에 드는지 알아보는 분석으로, 고정효과에는 시기, 순서군, 치료효과를, 랜덤효과에는 개체효과를 가지는 선형혼합모형을 이용하여 분석한다. 이러한 분석이 적용된 실제 예를 살펴보기 위하여 레보플록사신 연구의 자료를 활용하였다.

2008-2017 패널분석 결과에 나타난 개인-직무 적합성과 직무만족 간의 관계 (A Study on the Relationship between Person-Job Fit and Job Satisfaction shown in the Panel Data for 2008-2017)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of person-job fit, which consists of educational fit and skill fit, on employees' intrinsic job satisfaction. To the end, the 10-year balanced panel data of the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS) by the Korea Labor Institute (KLI) for 2008-2017 are utilized. This study analyzes 12,730 observations by 1,273 employees by using fixed effect model, random effect model, and pooled OLS estimation method. The empirical results are as follows: First, it is founded that educational fit and skill fit seem affect job satisfaction positively. Second, the negative effects of over-education are clear and the negative effects of under-education are unclear, while the effects of over-skilled and under-skilled are insignificant statistically. Third, the results imply that the size of effect of over-education on intrinsic job satisfaction is larger than that of the effect of over-skilled. Forth, it is shown that the use of fixed effect model is more effective and trustworthy than that of random effect model and pooled OLS estimation method, implying that the effect size of coefficients which are estimated by pooled OLS method and random effect model are likely over-estimated. The empirical results above imply that firms and employees should focus on solving over-education issue before all in order to enhance employees' job satisfaction and it is needed to monitor regularly whether systemic job assignment process is done based on the employees' educational attainment and skill level and to provide more chances for job re-allocation and job rotation.

랜덤-반전 분산 맵으로 설계된 분산 제어 링크를 갖는 MSSI 시스템 (MSSI System with Dispersion-managed Link Configured with Random-inverse Dispersion Maps)

  • 파장 분할 다중 신호와 같은 대용량 광 신호를 장거리 전송하기 위하여 사용되는 MSSI (mid-span spectral inversion)와 분산 제어가 결합된 시스템에서의 융통적인 링크 구성을 제안하고 색 분산과 비선형 왜곡 보상 효과를 높일 수 있는 구체적 방법을 살펴보았다. 분산 제어 링크 구성의 융통성을 높이기 위해 제안된 분산 맵은 'random-inverse' 구조를 갖는다. 즉 광 위상 공액기까지의 전반 구획의 각 광성유 스팬의 RDPS는 랜덤하게 분포되고 후반 구획의 RDPS 분포는 전반 구획의 분포 패턴을 반전하는 구성의 분산 맵이다. 제안된 분산 맵은 RDPS의 랜덤 분포를 가지기는 하지만 결과적으로 광 위상 공액기를 중심으로 분산 프로파일이 대칭이 되는 점에 기인하여 왜곡 보상 효과가 개선되는 것을 확인하였다. 'random-inverse' 구조의 분산 맵에서 각 광섬유 스팬에 할당되는 RDPS의 크기가 큰 경우에서왜곡된 파장 분할 다중 신호의 보상 효과가 더욱커지는 것도 동시에 확인하였다.

Logistic regression model for major separation rate

Levamisole, selenium 및 tocopherol이 한국재래산양의 혈중 호중구 및 복강 대식구의 기능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of levamisole, selenium and tocopherol on the functions of blood neutrophil and peritoneal macrophage of Korean native goats)

  • In this study, the immunomodulating effects of levamisole, selenium and tocopherol on blood neutrophils and peritoneal macrophages of goat were evaluated in vitro and in vivo. The functions of blood neutrophils and peritoneal macrophages were assayed by random and direct migration, phagocytosis of S aureus, production of superoxide and hydrogen peroxide. The results obtained were summarized as follows: In vitro trials 1. Levamisole treatment enhanced the random and direct migration of goat blood neutrophils when compared with untreated cell, and a significant (p<0.01) enhancement was noticed at the concentration of $100{\mu}g$ for direct migration and $50{\mu}g{\sim}1,000{\mu}g\;per\;ml$ of culture medium for random migration. There was no influence of selenium and tocopherol on random and direct migration of neutrophil at all of treatment concentration. 2. Neutrophils produced higher levels of superoxide by lcvamisole treatment at the concentration of $100{\mu}g$ and by selenium treatment at the concentration of $1.0{\mu}g$, but the production of hydrogen peroxide was not increased. Tocopherol had no effect on the production of antimicrobicidal oxygen metabolites of neutrophils at various concentrations. 3. No differences of phagocytic activity were observed when neutrophils were treated with three substances. In vivo trials 1. Blood neutrophils of goats orally administered levaraisole showed significantly (p<0.05) higher random migration from 2 to 24 hours after feeding (2.5mg/kg of body weight). Augmentation of random migration of neutrophil from goats orally administered selenium-tocopherol mixture (selenium $100{\mu}g$-tocopherol 200IU/head/day) was observed at 10 days and the significant (p<0.05) increase was shown from 30 days after feeding and continued throughout the feeding periods. 2. There was no effect on phagocytic activity and production of antimicrobicidal oxygen metabolites of neutrophils from goats administered levamisole or selenium-tocopherol mixture. 3. Random migration, production of superoxide and hydrogen peroxide and S aureus phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophages of goats administered 300ml of levamisole-thioglycollatc medium mixture $(2.5{\mu}g/ml)$ into peritoneal cavity increased significantly (p<0.01 or p<0.05) when compared with those of goats administered thioglycollate medium alone.

RPNB모형을 이용한 지방부 신호교차로 교통사고 모형개발 (Developing an Accident Model for Rural Signalized Intersections Using a Random Parameter Negative Binomial Method)

  • 본 연구는 확률적 모수를 고려한 음이항 모형을 이용하여 지방부 신호교차로에서 발생한 교통사고에 대한 모형을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 교통사고 모형개발에 사용되는 기존의 가산모형(대표적으로 포아송/음이항모형)의 단점은 시간적 변화 혹은 각 지점/구간이 가진 고유한 특성에 대한 변화를 통합하여 설명하지 못한다는 것이다. 이로 인해, 추정되는 계수의 표준오차가 과소추정되어 결과적으로 모형 전체의 신뢰성을 하락시킨다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 이 연구에서는 각 대상 지점/구간의 이질성을 고려 할 수 있는 random parameter를 적용하여 기존 가산모형의 한계점을 개선하였다. 분석결과 교통량의 증가와 는 부도로의 보행자 시설들은 사고발생 증가에 영향을 미치고, 좌회전 전용차로 및 중앙분리대는 교통사고 감소에 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 random parameter를 적용한 모형개발방법이 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다. 하지만 본 연구에서는 기하구조의 변경 관련 자료의 부재로, 이들에 대한 영향까지는 확인하지 못한 한계가 있다.
