울산시 동천 비점오염원 제어효과 (Effects of controlling plans of non-point pollutant sources in dongcheon of Ulsan)

  • In this study, we suggested 4 plans to reduce non-point pollutant sources in Dongcheon and analyzed their controlling effects by water quality modeling, XP-SWMM. To do this we identified the influx of non-point pollutant sources to the initial rainwater through the water quality survey in the river and analyzed the causes of them at major locations, and suggested 4 kinds of plans reducing non-point pollutant sources. Plans reducing the non-point pollutant sources through cleaning the industrial road around the river(plan A), through a separate treatment facilities like the gutter(plan B), through installing treatement facilities(plan C), or through combing plan B and C(plan D) were analyzed using XP-SWMM model. The analysis showed that plan A, B, C and D reduced non-point pollutant sources average 21.7 %, 24.7 %, 49.3 %, 56.7 % respectively. Therefore, the water quality pollution in Dongcheon due to the influx of non-point pollutant sources is considered to be reduced effectively though cleaning the road, installed at the exits of paddy or factory basins, invasion type facilities or equipment-type facilities.

첨두수질농도를 이용한 비점오염원 관리방안 연구 (A study on the Management of Non-point Source Using Peak Water Quality Concentration)

  • 본 연구에서는 금호강의 수질 및 유량 자료를 이용하여 첨두수질에 따른 강우유출 특성을 분석하고 모니터링 및 오염원별 관리 시기 등의 비점오염 관리 방향을 도출하였다. 첨두수질농도(Peak Water Quality Concentration)는 강우유출수내 수질이 가장 높은 농도로 비점오염 관리 기준농도로 극값(Extremal value)을 활용하는 개념이다. 이 방법을 이용하여 누적강수량(총강수량), 첨두수질농도, 첨두수질농도까지의 누적강수량, 첨두수질농도까지의 시간, 첨두수질농도까지의 EMC 등의 평가인자를 검토하였고 장기간에 걸친 실측자료를 이용하여 비점오염원 강우유출특성을 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 통해 비점오염원을 관리하기 위한 적정 모니터링 및 관리방안을 제시하였다.

부하지속곡선을 이용한 삽교호수계 지류하천의 오염원인 분석 (Estimation of Pollution Using Load Duration Curves at Streams in Sapgyo Watershed)

  • In this study, 48 streams in the Sapgyo Watershed were selected, and the Load Duration Curves (LDC) were drawn up for each stream using water quality and flow monitoring over the last three years (2018-2020), and it was evaluated whether the target water quality was achieved for each flow section. As a result of evaluating whether or not the target water quality exceeded according to the LDC, it was found that 22 rivers exceeded the target water quality. Five rivers exceeded the target water quality due to point pollutant sources, 13 rivers exceeded the target water quality due to non-point pollutant sources, and 4 rivers exceeded the target water quality due to both point and non-point pollutant sources. Among the rivers that exceeded the target water quality due to point pollutant sources, which included domestic sewage of the untreated population, there is a need to reduce the influx of polluted loads by the untreated population. The use of eco-friendly fertilizers is recommended for rivers with a relatively high farmland ratio among rivers exceeding the target water quality due to non-point pollutant sources, and installation of boiling point reduction facilities that can reduce the amount of polluted load introduced during rainfall or manage water shores. In rivers with a large number of livestock breeding heads, the livestock houses located in these rivers need to be preferentially transferred to livestock manure treatment plants. Due to the high ratio of land area because of urbanization, initial rainwater treatment facilities are required to reduce the amount of pollutant load flowing into the river through the impermeable layer during rainfall.

강우강도에 따른 노면유출수의 유출 특성 (Characteristics of Road Runoff depending on the Rainfall Intensity)

  • Growth in population and urbanization has progressively increased the loadings of pollutants from non-point sources as well as point sources. Therefore, it is necessary to manage both point and non-point sources contaminations for protecting water environment and improving water quality. This study investigated the characteristics of pollutant release over a wide range of rainfall intensities as a requisite to control road runoff that accounts for the largest portion of non-point source contamination in urban areas. Samples of runoff rainwater collected from real road surfaces were analyzed for physicochemical parameters such as pH, suspended solids, and heavy metals. A experimental model road ($30cm{\times}30cm$) was also used to evaluate wash-off properties of pollutants deposited on the surface as functions of time and rainfall intensity. Analysis of runoff samples on rain events showed that the pollutant wash-off patterns for heavy metal and suspended solids were similar. This implies that the particles in rainwater adsorb heavy metals. Experiments using the model road made of impervious asphalt demonstrate a strong first flush phenomenon. At high rainfall intensity, approximately 80% of total pollutants were released within 15 min. The pollutant wash-off rates rapidly increase from 9 mm/hr to 12 mm/hr of rainfall intensity and decrease over 12 mm/hr of rainfall intensity.

대구지역의 빗물 중 화학적 성분의 계절별 및 지역별 농도분포 (Seasonal and Regional Concentrations of Chemical Composition in Rainwater in Daegu Area)

  • 대구지역에 내린 빗물의 수질 특성을 조사하기 위해 2005년 1월부터 12월까지 채취한 빗물시료 34개에 대하여 pH, 전기전도도 TOC, TIC TC와 같은 화학성분을 분석하였다. 분석된 화학성분의 농도는 겨울철이 여름철보다 높게 나타났다. 공업지역과 상업지역은 주거지역과 대조지역보다 화학성분의 농도와 전기전도도가 높게 나타났다. 산성우의 발생빈도(27.2%)가 비산성우(72.8%)에 비해 훨씬 낮았고, 또한 TC의 구성비율은 유기성인 TOC(72.5%)가 무기성인 TIC(27.5%)보다 높게 나타났다. 강수가 잦을수록 화학성분의 농도는 어느 정도 낮아지고, 반대로 무강수일이 길수록 화학성분의 농도가 높아졌다. 2003년에 비해 2005년의 대기질이 다소 개선된 원인은 환경행정당국의 대기오염 저감노력과 함께 지역 경기침체로 인한 다양한 영향을 받는데 있었다.

Kumerowia stipujacea Is an useful species that diminish the injury of soil and rainwater We study that estimates of preventing soul erosion and river over-flow can be obtained from the experimental model developmented by several equators. Many potential contaminants are removed by filtration as the water moves slowly through the fields of K. supulacea.

  • Sewage facilities are positively necessary for environment improvement such as rainwater removal, sewage disposal, preservation of the quality of water and health of the citizens in present-day. Meanwhile, a deterioration of the concrete sewer facilities is increasing rapidly due to the chemical and physical attack and especially biochemical attack that is to say biodeterioration. In this study, to prevent biochemical corrosion of the sewer concrete, surface of the concrete was spread with liquefied organic and inorganic complex antibiotics and then its engineering properties were experimentally investigated

Evaluation of the Functions and Reliability of an Eco-Friendly Vegetated Soundproof Wall for Climate Benefits

  • This study aims to develop and commercialize a soundproof wall capable of planting at the urban ecological. The vegetative soundproof wall developed in the study showed highly superb structural test results for sound absorption coefficients and met the quality standards in the sound-absorbing performance test. Its structure is systemized to supply water to soils and plant roots inside the planting basis with rainwater running down the inclined planes near the planting basis in the front of the vegetation panel. It allows for sporadic water supply for about 30 days of drought. The test results show that the plants continued favorable growth and development in leaves, stems, and roots, making the vegetative soundproof plate a product capable of reacting to climate environment changes.

제주도에서의 빗물 이온 농도 분석 (Analysis of Rainwater Samples in Cheju)

  • Precipitation samples were collected at Kosan, Cheju Island over a period of 6 months An automatic rain sampler was manufactured domestically and installed at Kosan station. All samples were collected on a weekly basis. Samples were analyzed for S $O_4$$^{=}$, N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ , C $l^{[-10]}$ , N $H_4$$^{+}$, N $a^{+}$, $K^{+}$, $Ca^{++}$, $Mg^{++}$, and pH and specific conductivity. The quality analysis of rain sample data were performed based on ion balance and specific conductivity. The pH of rain samples ranged between 4.6 to 6.6. Bicarbonate ion concentration were included in ion balance and specific conductivity calculations. The sum of cation concentrations were slightly greater than the sum of anion concentrations. Calculated specific conductivity was greater than measured specific conductivity. The most probable explanations for this discrepancy is "an anion too low or anion missing." Two criteria were used to identify outliners. They are 1) the difference between the sum of anion concentrations and cation concentration is more than 50 $\mu$eq./1 and 2) the difference between calculated and measured specific conductivity is more than 25%. Chemical analysis from several samples did not satisfy these quality control criteria. Volume weighted average concentrations were calculated. Dominant free acids in rain samples were N $a^{+}$, C $l^{[-10]}$ , S $O_4$$^{=}$, N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ ions in order of abundance. Non-seasalt sulfate comprises 76% of total sulfate.sulfate.e.ate.e.

경안천수계의 농업용수로서 수질검토 (Irrigation Water Quality of the Kyoungan Stream.)

  • 경안천수계 농업용수의 경시적 수질 변화양상과 支川(지천)의 영향등을 알아보기 위하여 1994, 1995 및 1997 3개년간 매월 1회씩 (3월${\sim}$9월) 수질을 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 경안천의 연차적 수질변화는 COD의 경우 '94년 26.3mg/l에서 '97년의 경우 17.8mg/l로 점차 감소되는 경향을 보였으나 $NH_4-N$$NO_3-N$는 년차적으로 큰 변화가 없었다. 2. 경안천의 월별 수질변화는 강우량이 많았던 7,8월에 염도가장 낮았으며,그 이후 수질이 다시 악화되는 경향이었다. 3. 조사 지점별 수질은 중류 지점에서 축산폐수와 생활하수로 등으로 오염된 지천의 유입으로 초현교와 왕산교 지점에서 경안첨 본류의 오염도가 높았으나, 그 후 수질이 양호한 곤지암천과 번천의 유입으로 하류 광교동 지점에서 수질이 개선되었다.
