지속가능한 발전을 위한 궤도시스템의 LCA기법 적용 연구 (Application of LCA technique to railway track system for sustainable development)

  • In this study, Among various rail track systems, Ballast and concrete track system of Seoul-Busan High-speed Line was adopted to quantify the amount of environment load through the LCA technique. It was intended to compare the results of both track systems through investigating life cycle inventory and gathering the material and energy flows of each track system. With applying the LCA technique to railway infrastructure, which simple maintenance was considered in the past, fundamental technology can be established for the sustainable development in the railway construction industry.

  • The objective of this paper is to suggest a characteristics of Noise and the Noise Prediction Model and the appropriate Noise Impact Mitigation Method for a elevated railway bridges construction. The characteristics on noises are investigated and evaluated according to a type of railway bridges such as steel, concrete and steel/concrete compound bridges, a types of train, a distance and height from railways. The noise prediction study has been made by the evaluation of differences between model values and in-situ measurement, around the railways. For the noise prediction, the Mithra program and the electronic properties of noises have been adopted.

  • Much signaling equipments are installed along railway tracks, and these are working in cooperation with each other, referring to other signaling equipment status. Existing railway signaling system uses signal cables to transmit this information. This system requires high cost for construction and have the problems like many faults from mistakes in cable connection, etc To solve these problems, JREast Inc. has developed a new signaling system based on network technology, utilizing Ethernet-Passive Optical Network(E-PON). In this paper, we review the system proposed by JREast Inc. and field test results performed on railway.

Fatigue Assessment of Steel Railway Bridge by Service Loading about 65 Years

  • In this study, a series of random field test and dynamic analysis in the time domain were carried out in order to find in the reason of fatigue damage of the main and the secondary members in the 3-span continuous steel plate girder railway bridge being under in service over 60 years. From the measured and the analyzed results, the stress distribution patterns were investigated for the members with fatigue damage. In addition, global and local numerical stress analysis was performed for the members damaged severely by corrosion, to estimate variation of the distribution by corrosion. Finally, a reasonable cut-off ratio in the steel plate railway bridge will be proposed by analyzing the equivalent stress ranges according the ratio.

틸팅열차 투입에 따른 시간단축 효과 검토에 관한 연구 (A study on the reduction effects of journey time as operating Korean tilting train)

  • Tilting trains are now an established feature of railway operations throughout the world. For intercity traffic, tilt provides operators with increasing speeds, and therefore enhanced competitiveness, on existing routes where insufficient traffic or a lack of funds precludes the construction of a dedicated new high-speed railway. This paper explains the reduction effects of journey time with the Korean tilting train. The Korean Tilting Train express (TTX) project has been carried out to develop alt the core technologies related to tilting train and infra-technology to provide high speed inter-city service with the speed of 180 km/h as well as maintenance-free technology for conventional railway system. In order to simulate we considered 5 conventional railway. As a results of simulation, we found out the tilting train has very high efficiency(reduction rate 20-30%).

  • After rapid running is begun in domestic, problem by the train wind that was not considered at existent train running appeared. If the High-Speed railway business speed rises by 350km/h in the future, is going to become more big issue. This study conducts an experiment that measure in local about KTX train beside Gyeongbu High-Speed railway track about aerodynamics effect that happen by passage of train and analyzed. In case KTX II runs with the 350km/h speed, forecasted effect that get in the simple vertical surfaces parallel to tracks according to distance from rail center. Compared construction size with structural analysis in case do not consider with case that consider the train wind about soundproofing walls representatively. As a result, proposed wind load standard that apply at soundproofing walls design.

  • The objective of this study is the developement of real time automatic incline measurement using high accuracy digital datalogger for safety and maintence of railway construction sites. For the replacement of current 16 bit analog/digital converter, Digital datalogger system using 24 bit analog/digital converter is studied for the first time with in a country. Therefore data communication method and analyzing program of automatic measurement data is developed for the automatic high accuracy digital datalogge system. The results of this study will be using real time automatic incline measurement of railway structures.

  • Object of this paper are numerical and experimental evaluation of Korean Standard Train Loading(L-loading scheme) with respect to UIC's and real train loading, quantitative formulation of the real train types in South Korea. These objects are require to changing environment of train operation, for example, high density traffic and gradual train speed increase. For the reasonable repair, reinforcement and rehabilitation of existing railway infrastructures, statistical analysis of the loading effect during the long term experiment in conventional lines have to conduct. Statistical quantitative formulation of the loading case need to consistency numerical evaluation of the railway safety. Hereafter, those results will be core technical data for the economy enhancement of international line construction. Further, these results are using to make track maintenance criterions for transcontinental, speed up railway and revision of standard train leading diagram.

  • In this study, the three dimensional pile-soil dynamic interaction analysis of the railway bridge pile foundation was performed using SASSI 2000 program and the applicability of SASSI 2000 about an evaluation of the seismic stability of a pile foundation was examined. The numerical analysis was executed on the two site of actual construction and input properties such as the acceleration of bedrock were estimated by one dimensional seismic response analysis using the Pro-SHAKE. Consequently, all the piles of the subject of investigation showed that displacement occurred within a permitted limit and the shear force and moment largely occurred at the point where the soil stiffness varied rapidly.

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 열차운행관리 시스템(Railway Traffic Management System, RTMS)에서 경합 검지 및 해소업무는 역 및 선로의 정보(상태)연계 및 자동화의 미비로 인하여 착발선 결정, 착발시간 결정, 교행역, 대피역등에서 발생하는 경합 검지 및 해소(Railway Conflict Detection and Resolution)의 결정이 신속하게 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 국내외적으로 적용하고 있는 열차 경합 검지 방법을 조사 비교하여 가장 적절한 알고리즘을 개발, 구현하여 현재 진행중인 철도청 사령실 통합 신호설비 구축사업 프로젝트에 적용하고자 한다.
