  • This paper presents an advanced calculation method of permissible current capacity on catenary system. If the permissible current calculation method used in electric power system is applied to electric railroad system, it is troublesome. Because electric load in catenary system varies periodically according to time. Therefore, this study proposes permissible current calculation method through heat equation according to time variation.

  • Induction motors are a critical component of many industrial machines and are frequently integrated in commercial equipment. The many economical losses and the deterioration of system reliability might be caused by the failure of induction motors in industrial field. Based on the reliability and cost competitiveness of driving system(motors), the faults detection and diagnosis of system is considered very important factors. In order to perform the faults detection and diagnosis of motors, the vibration monitoring method and motor current signature analysis (MCSA) method are emphasized. In this paper, MCSA method is used for induction motor fault diagnosis. This method analyzes the motor's supply current, since this diagnoses the motor's condition. The diagnostic system is constructed by using LabVIEW of National Instruments.

  • 본 논문에서는 철도차량용 견인전동기의 열적, 기계적, 전기적 열화 및 환경열화 등의 절연열화 메카니즘에 대해서 검토하였으며, 전동기 주절연물의 전반적인 열화경향 파악과 국부적열화 검출을 위해 현재 적용되고 있는 절연저항, $tan{\delta}$, 직류성분, 정전용량 판정 및 부분방전 시험 등의 각종 절연진단 시험법과 최종적인 교류전압파괴 강도와의 상관성을 추정하는 진단기술의 현황과 그 유용성을 소개한다.

  • A system engineering play a key role in new signalling system development. The signalling system development process consists several phases which are requirement analysis, functional analysis, system synthesis and system analysis. Each phase of the development are decomposed according to system engineering process. The key topics to be considered are shown in the each phase such as safety. This paper shows the application of system engineering process to a signalling system development.

  • This study presents a AC electric railway system analysis using PSCAD/EMTDC for circuit analysis and fault studies. This PSCAD/EMTDC model includes feeder, contact line, rails. Scott-transformer. Auto-transformer and so on. This model is based on four-port network which is an extension of two-port network theory. In order to verify the proposed model, fault studies of a test system are performed.

  • This study presents wrong hand calculations for fault analysis at field on the real AC railway system. Hence, we correctly revised the hand calculations. We propose AC railway system model by using EMTDC. Fault studies are performed. We also compare revised hand calculations with EMTDC simulation to verify the proposed model made by EMTDC. So, we can confirm that the model made by using EMTDC is correctly designed.

  • In order to analyze the power consumption pattern of the DC urban rail system, the method to obtain a solution establishing the current equation according to fixed position of the substation and varying position of the train is used. The proposed analysis method using the network analysis is to model the transfer function of the component constituting a direct current power supply system (dc substation, train, catenary) to the voltage and current. By multiplying the model formula consecutive, it can calculate the voltage and current of each element of power supply circuit and shows a simple case analysis.

  • Following the needs for increment of public transportation system electric railroad system should be expended. There are several solutions to expend. One of these solutions is to reduce the interval between two railroad vehicles. However, it cannot be reduced too much because reduction of interval means increment of loads and induces supplying voltage decrement. In this paper, voltage variation according to railroad intervals is simulated and optimal operation in railroad system is proposed.

  • The Railroad that is representative transportation of Low Coal and Green Growth is industry that meet and serve unspecificness many customer unexpensive price as industry doing against as social overhead capital. Present our country railroad achievement is real condition that is not coming out in eternal in the red management. Accordingly, In this research, analyze success factor of management black-ink balance of railroad advanced nation such as Japan, France and Compare with our country and grasps problem of present city railroad fare system. Finally, alleviate fare burden of customer through diversification of fare system service such as establishing point uniformly for railroad fare that introduce first in Japan JR Kyushu railroad and propose the improvement of management of railway operation organization through demand enlargement.
