  • SONICS is the software developed by authors. The program provides the noise level in outdoors due to various noise source types : construction machines including blast sources, railroad vehicles and automobiles. h operates in the Windows system. Since the software is compiled by using Visual C++ 4.0, users can run the program interactively. Also SONICS uses Windows' dialog-box and choice-button so that a novice user can easily implement the program for the environmental noise planning.

  • Insulator is being used for material of railroad vehicles as a barrier of heat and noise. But it shows various fire properties in case of fire. In this study, we compared smoke density(Ds) values of rubber foams with the different thickness of glass fiber cross-Al foil according to the standard of ASTM E 662. The result showed that the insulator and barrier property played an important role in decreasing the value of smoke density

  • Tilting trains are now an established feature of railway operations throughout the world. For intercity traffic, tilt provides operators with increasing speeds, and therefore enhanced competitiveness, on existing routes where insufficient traffic or a lack of funds precludes the construction of a dedicated new high-speed railway. Appling the tilting train, we can expect 30% of speed up on existing lines, but the stability of the electric current would be low because of tilting the train. Also, the spark between the catenary and pantagraph cause environmental problems such as noise, radio wave malfunction. Therefore, the tilting on pantagraph for the power suppling device is very essential for stable electric power supply.

  • The existence of railroad line gives many influences in various kinds of aspects. To minimize negative influences is necessary to line's improvement, but appropriate methodology doesn't show until now. In this study, Fuzzy Integration Method(FIM) are employed in an effort to give ranking for railroad line's improvement in Seoul. The FIM is designed to generalize a various influences, appeared on account of existence of railroad line. Empirical analysis is performed for railroad line in distance of 83.5㎞ in Seoul. The total lines are divided in 51 sections, and there are selected a 11 evaluation index to reflect influences. Through a questionnaire survey about residents, operator and administrator, important degree of evaluation items are decided, reveal ins the interests of related groups. Then, evaluation values are calculated wi th practical survey results about each sections. The results of evaluation reveal that the higher ranking of improvement from FIM concentrates the Kyeng-Ul Line and Kyeng-Won line because these lines appear a many public discontents and negative influences such as noise and demolition of living environment.

열차운행에 따른 철도역사의 진동영향 평가 (The Vibrational Evaluation of Railway Station by the Train Service)

  • The high interest for the ground vibrations which is caused by the train service is risen. When the trains are passed, a serious force is applied to ground and the caused vibration is propagated to the area of the building by the ground and rocks. This vibration comes to feel in the residents with the direct vibration, it is radiated in sound. The caused vibration and radiated sound affect the human's life, and this vibration brings about the operation interruption of the equipment which is sensitive to the vibration, or will bring about the structural damage of the building. In this study, the effect of the vibrations caused by the passing trains on the railway station and buildings is investigated by vibration measurement. Indoor and outdoor measurement is carried out by each trains.

ISO 9613-2를 이용한 철도 환경소음 예측 모델 개선에 관한 연구 (Study on the improvement of prediction model for the railway environmental noise using ISO 9613-2)

  • 철도 소음의 환경영향평가 업무에 있어서 소음도에 대한 정확한 예측이 중요하지만, 국내에서는 overall 소음도의 거리별 측정을 통한 경험식이 근사적으로 이용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소음원과 소음전파의 주파수 특성을 고려하여 철도 소음의 예측 정확도를 향상할 수 있는 예측 모델을 제안하였다. 먼저 철도 소음원을 궤도(레일 및 침목), 차륜, 동력, 공력 성분으로 구분하여 각각의 옥타브 밴드 주파수별 음향파워와 속도계수를 정의하고 음향 조도와 궤도/교량 특성을 반영할 수 있는 보정항을 도입하였다. 소음원에서 수음점까지의 전파 특성은 ISO 9613-2를 적용하여 기하학적 확산, 대기 흡음, 지면 효과, 장애물의 회절에 따른 감쇠 및 지향특성을 반영하여 계산하였다. 소음원 음향파워와 지향인자를 추정하기 위하여 전동 소음원 해석 모델 및 수치해석 결과와 통과 소음도 측정값을 이용하였다. 본 철도 소음 예측 모델을 이용하여 여러 철도 차량과 궤도 유형에 따라서 예측한 소음도를 측정값과 비교하여 정확도를 검증하였으며 기존 예측 모델보다 비교적 정확한 예측이 가능하였다. 따라서 본 결과는 철도 환경 소음의 정확한 영향 예측과 효율적인 소음 저감 대책 수립에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

비선형 점탄성 스프링 모델을 이용한 플로팅 슬래브 궤도의 동적 거동 해석 (Analysis of Dynamic Behavior of Floating Slab Track Using a Nonlinear Viscoelastic Spring Model)

  • Recently, the vibration and structure-borne noise induced by passing trains are of great concerns, and the floating slab track is highlighted as one of most efficient alternatives to reduce the railway vibration. However, due to the non-linearity and viscosity of rubber spring used in the floating slab track, its dynamic behavior is very complex. In this study, therefore, to simulate the dynamic behavior of floating slab track with a better accuracy, a nonlinear viscoelastic rubber spring model that can be incorporated in commercial finite element analysis codes has been proposed. This model is composed of a combination of elastic spring element, friction element and viscous element, and termed the "generalized friction viscoelastic model(GFVM)". Also, in this study, the method to determine the model parameters of GFVM based on Berg's 5-parameter model was presented. The results of the finite element analysis with this rubber spring model exhibit very good correlation with the test results of a laboratory mock-up test, and the feasibility of GFVM has been verified.

레일 진동감쇄에 의한 소음방사 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Noise Radiation Characteristics by Rail Vibration Reduction)

  • 철도의 운행으로 인하여 발생하는 다양한 소음 중 큰 부분을 차지하고 있는 전동소음의 경우 차륜과 레일의 접촉에 의하여 진동과 이로 인한 소음방사가 발생하므로, 레일 진동에 대한 특성과 이로 인한 방사소음과의 상호연관성 및 특성의 파악이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 레일의 유한요소 모델을 구성하고 경계요소법을 이용하여 진동으로 인해 발생하는 소음방사를 예측하였다. 입력으로는 레일에서의 진동속도 계측치를 이용하였고 소음방사 예측결과를 계측결과와 비교하여 해석기법의 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 또한 레일 감쇄 특성에 따른 소음방사 특성을 주파수 영역에서 검토하여 레일 댐핑재의 적용에 따라 약 3dB(A)의 방사소음 저감 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.
