철도사고분석에 대한 고찰 (A study on the analysis of railway accidents)

  • It is necessary to analyze the railway accidents and incidents for the purpose of understanding present safety state and enhancing its system. Korea National Railroad has its accident/incident reporting codes, but it is relatively not sufficient for detail classification and investigation of accident and incident compared with foreign countries. This paper suggests how to classify the railway accident/incident, and describes the analysis result for domestic recent railway accidents and incidents according to the new suggested classifying system.

  • In this study, temperature sensors were adhered to transformer that is used in KHST(Korean High-Speed Train) to verify variation of temperature characteristics about transformer synthetically and efficiently. In the case that temperature of transformer exceeds reference temperature for running of KHST, overheating of transformer may cause a fatal accident of vehicle. Therefore, after on-line measuring system was constructed in vehicle, oil temperature and tank temperature were measured on real-time. Characteristics and main specifications of transformer in KHST were described in this paper Also, measuring system for temperature measurement of transformer was explained in brief. Temperature data of transformer was acquired using measuring system, KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) analyzed characteristic in contrast with comparing with temperature of transformer about month, running speed and running time.

  • Electric railroad transformer of a supply of Operation power of DC electric cars is intense fluctuation of load and flows the only big short-circuit current as a accident of the power system. it is a peculiarity more severe than general power transformer. Consequently, researches the properties about the rectifier mold transformer of DC substation and applies with data of safety of the electric railroad transformer. This paper analyzed a failure mode, the accident occurrence scenario and the be latent dangerous unit against the rectifier mold transformer of DC railway system.

  • Numerous advance studies usually have focused on preventing human error through mechanization and automation; however, this study. by connecting with accidents caused by careless handling on the basis of the present aptitude test, aims at investigating an improving plan for the railroad safety management system. To attain this purpose, present situation and point at issue of the aptitude test were surveyed through the questionnaire. Through this research, the aptitude test on railroad safety might be systematically improved by reforming some institutional issues.

  • The accidents in a railway level crossing where passengers or vehicles pass on the track went through by the train with a inherent high rate on incidents lead to a vast economic damage on people and material resources. So, many protection equipments are placed on the railway crossing to prevent those kind of accidents. But there is a limit to control driver's rough activity, passenger's careless or an intentional accident. This study is trying to ensure the safety in railway crossing by providing the information on train's speed and expected passing time on the railroad to a road traffic control system or car driver. Additionally, this system has been studying the railway level crossing system concerning ITS to support harmonious traffic flow.

  • The primary objective of this paper is to examine the capacity of electrical transmission in electric railway according to the type of feeding system. Although supply capacity of railway substation are sufficient and there is no accident, due to the electrical transmission limit of feeding line the voltage breakdown may occur when large capacity of electric load at feeding line exist. So, using multi-port analysis model, we draw P-V curve due to feeding method, load, location and power factor of electric locomotive.

종사자의 직무사고 현황분석에 관한 연구 (An Accident Analysis for Reducing Railway Staff Fatalities)

  • 철도여객 안전에 초점을 둔 안전관리활동의 결과로 철도여객 사망자는 크게 감소하여 2009년 이후 선진국 수준의 높은 안전성을 달성하였다. 반면, 철도종사자의 작업중 사고는 지속적으로 발생하여 선진국 사고율의 5배 이상 높은 실정이다. 철도종사자의 작업중 사고율이 높으나, 이에 대한 기초연구가 부족하고 사고 원인 중 상당수가 작업자 개인의 부주의로 보고되고 있어 현재까지 종합적인 종사자의 사고예방을 위한 안전대책이 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 철도사고통계를 분석하여 종사자의 작업중 사고원인을 분석하였다. 종사자의 작업중 사고중 피해가 가장 큰 운행중인 열차와 작업자의 충돌로 인한 철도교통사고에 초점을 두었으며, 사고 피해예방 대책 현황 및 국내의 문제점 분석, 국내외 안전성 비교 등을 수행하여, 종사자의 직무사고 예방을 위한 새로운 대책 개발에 활용하고자 하였다.

  • 철도는 다양한 분야에서 이용되며, 현재 많은 인원과 물류를 운송할 수 있는 효과적이고 친환경적인 교통수단이다. 근래에 들어 지하철을 비롯한 철도에 사고는 인명피해 및 물적 사고로 대부분 인재에 속하며, 이를 방지하기위한 안전 대책을 강구하는 방안이 추진 중이다. 본 논문에서는 철도 건널목 사고 예방을 위한 시스템의 개발을 목적으로 열차의 상황정보를 기반으로 기본적인 철도 건널목 안전관리시스템의 확장뿐만 아니라, 시스템 측면에서도 유연성을 제공할 수 있는 OSGi 프레임워크 기반 상황인지형 스마트 철도 건널목 안전 관리시스템을 구현하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

철도건널목 지장물 검지를 위한 보판센서 연구 개발 (A Study on the Development of Panel Sensor for Obstruction Detecting at the Railway Level Crossing)

  • For a short-term measurement to reduce an accident on a railroad crossing, it is necessary to find out the weakness and problems of existing equipment in the railroad transportation system. The analysis of railroad crossing accidents shows that main causes of accidents (24.9%) are the careless driving including an engine problem, damage on the safety equipment, slide on the snow, and an engine stop on the railroad crossing. Therefore, it is required to install a sensor, or to make a crossing gate at the exist for detecting obstacles on a railroad to prevent collisions among trains. This paper suggests 'a panel sensor using the strain gauge' to make up the weaknesses of the sensing Dead Zone, which are caused by using a laser method, and to detect any small objects passing railroads in order to reduce the errors, which are occurred in the earth magnetic field for controlling Exit Slide Crossing Arm Detector. The device, suggested in this paper, is verified with detecting any small objects passing the railroad, with judging entry decision clearly, and with controlling passing gate and obstruction warnings/cautions obstacles at the same time, through an experimental test.
