The information indicating device plays an important part in the information times. Recently, the classical CRT (Cathod Ray Tube) display is getting transferred to the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) one which is a kind of the FPDs (Flat Panel Displays). The OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) display of the FPDs has many advantages for the low power consumption, the luminescence in itself, the light weight, the thin thickness, the wide view angle, the fast response and so on as compared with the LCD one. The OLED has lately attracted considerable attention as the next generation device for the information indicators. And also it has already been applied for the outside panel of a mobile phone, and its demand will be gradually increased in the various fields. It is manufactured by the vapor deposition method in the vacuum state, and the uniformity of thin film on the substrate depends on the temperature distribution in the point-cell source. This paper describes the basic concepts that are obtained to design the point-cell source using the computational temperature analysis. The grids are generated using the module of AUTOHEXA in the ICEM CFD program and the temperature distributions are numerically obtained using the STAR-CD program. The temperature profiles are calculated for four cases, i.e., the charge rate for the source in the crucible, the ratio of diameter to height of the crucible, the ratio of interval to height of the heating bands, and the geometry modification for the basic crucible. As a result, the blowout phenomenon can be shown when the charge rate for the source increases. The temperature variation in the radial direction is decreased as the ratio of diameter to height is decreased and it is suggested that the thin film thickness can be uniformed. In case of using one heating band, the blowout can be shown as the higher temperature distribution in the center part of the source, and the clogging can appear in the top end of the crucible in the lower temperature. The phenomena of both the blowout and the clogging in the modified crucible with the nozzle-diffuser can be prevented because the temperature in the upper part of the crucible is higher than that of other parts and the temperature variation in the radial direction becomes small.
Purpose: We investigated how the movement of iris and visual axis affects the finite schematic eye Methods: Using the schematic eye with the crystalline lens in the existing forms of the radial GRIN and the spherical GRIN, the iris centre was moved 0.5 mm in nasal direction and visual axis was tilted $5^{\circ}$ in same direction, with the additional degree of 2.5 down to locate the focal point in fovea. This study analyzed performance change of the optical system, designing it same as the real eye. Results: The whole aberration distribution showed a considerable difference in performance in comparison with the real eye; the biggest difference shown at the central field of optical system. The spherical aberration showed the biggest difference, and a peripheral power error and field curvature leaned toward (+) direction in aberration distribution. Conclusions: When designing the schematic eye with the performance similar with that of the real eye by taking into consideration the iris centre and visual axis, the aberration at the center field of optical system in particular should be corrected. Spherical aberration which showed the biggest difference should be corrected in the first place. In addition, a peripheral power error and field curvature that leaned toward (+) direction should be moved toward (-) direction.

These days Shewhart control chart for evaluating stability of the process is widely used in various field. But it must follow strict assumption of distribution. In real-life problems, this assumption is often violated when many quality characteristics follow non-normal distribution. Moreover, it is more serious in multivariate quality characteristics. To overcome this problem, many researchers have studied the non-parametric control charts. Recently, SVDD (Support Vector Data Description) control chart based on RBF (Radial Basis Function) Kernel, which is called K-chart, determines description of data region on in-control process and is used in various field. But it is important to select kernel parameter or etc. in order to apply the K-chart and they must be predetermined. For this, many researchers use grid search for optimizing parameters. But it has some problems such as selecting search range, calculating cost and time, etc. In this paper, we research the efficiency of selecting parameter regions as data structure vary via simulation study and propose a new method for determining parameters so that it can be easily used and discuss a robust choice of parameters for various data structures. In addition, we apply it on the real example and evaluate its performance.

As electric power demand of customers is constantly increasing, more bulk power systems are needed to install in a network. By development of renewable energies and high-efficient facilities and deregulated electricity market, moreover, the amount of distributed resource is considerably increasing in distribution network consequently. Also, distribution network has become more and more complex as mesh network to improve the distribution system reliability and increase the flexibility and agility of network operation. These changes make fault current increase. Therefore, the fault current will exceed a circuit breaker capacity. In order to solve this problem, replacing breaker, changing operation mode of system and rectifying transformer parameters can be taken into account. The SFCL(Superconducting Fault Current Limiter) is one of the most promising power apparatus. This paper proposes a methodology for on optimal location of SFCL. This place is defined as considering the decrement of fault current by component type and the increment of reliability by customer type according to an location of SFCL in a distribution network connected with DG(Distributed Generation). With case studies on method of determining optimal location for SFCL applied to a radial network and a mesh network respectively, we proved that the proposed method is feasible.

The study was performed to understand combustion characteristics of the slinger combustor. Liquid fuel is discharged radially outwards through injection holes drilled in the high speed rotating shaft. The spray test was peformed to verify atomizing characteristics with variation of fuel nozzle rotational speed by using PDPA system. SMD was measured at different RPM and values are 70$\mu\textrm{m}$ at 5,000RPM rpm, 60$\mu\textrm{m}$ at 10,000RPM and 40$\mu\textrm{m}$ at 20,000RPM. In the results, we found out that SMD is grown smaller with increasing rotational speed. In KARI combustion test facility, Ignition and combustion tests were performed by using combustor test rig. In the test results, ignition and combustion efficiency were improved according to increasing rotational speed. The measured radial temperature distribution at the combustor exit shows stable and fairly good distribution.
The current hierarchical model of galaxy formation predicts that galaxy halos contain merger relics in the form of long stellar streams. In order to find stellar substructures in galaxy, we focused our investigation on the stellar spatial density around globular clusters and on the quantitative properties of the evolved sequences in the color-magnitude diagrams (CMDs). First, we investigated the spatial configuration of stars around five metal-poor globular clusters in halo region (M15, M30, M53, NGC 5053, and NGC 5466) and one metal-poor globular cluster in bulge region (NGC 6626). Our findings indicate that all of these globular clusters show strong evidence of extratidal features in the form of extended tidal tails around the clusters. The orientations of the extratidal features show the signatures of tidal tails tracing the clusters' orbits and the effects of dynamical interactions with the galaxy. These features were also confirmed by the radial surface density profiles and azimuthal number density profiles. Our results suggest that these six globular clusters are potentially associated with the satellite galaxies merged into the Milky Way. Second, we derived the morphological parameters of the red giant branch (RGB) from the near-infrared CMDs of 12 metal-poor globular clusters in the Galactic bulge. The photometric RGB shape indices such as colors at fixed magnitudes, magnitudes at fixed colors, and the RGB slope were measured for each cluster. The magnitudes of the RGB bump and tip were also estimated. The derived RGB parameters were used to examine the overall behavior of the RGB morphology as a function of cluster metallicity. The behavior of the RGB shape parameters was also compared with the previous observational calibration relation and theoretical predictions of the Yonsei-Yale isochrones. Our results of studies for stellar spatial distribution around globular clusters and the morphological properties of RGB stars in globular clusters could add further observational evidence of merging scenario of galaxy formation.
This study deals with the taxonomy of the marine diatom Ditylum brightwellii (West) Grunow: shape, size and ratio, marginal ridge, labiate process, areolation, and seasonal distribution are all considered. Ditylum brightwellii were divided into two type; prism- and cylinder-shaped. Comparisons between specimens from the Yellow Sea were made on, (1) shape- prism types are prismatic-shaped and/or regular square or right-angled tetragon, cylinder types are cylinder-shaped and/or long right-angled tetragon in the girdle view, respectively; (2) size and ratiodiameters of prism types are 82.1 ± 2 μm, while those of cylinder types are 21.2 ± 5 μm and ratio of pervalvar axis/diameter- prism types cells are 1.0-1.5, but cylinder types are 3.9-5.5; (3) marginal ridges- prism types have dotted, while those of the cylinder-type cells have piece, slotted or fimbriated on the marginal ridge; (4) labiate process- both prism- and cylinder-types are central part in valve face, but length of labiate processes of prism types are longer than those of cylinder types; (5) cell margin- the girdle margin show many shallow furrows in prism type and smooth in cylinder type; (6) areolation- both prism- and cylinder-types are a radial pattern in the valve center, but areolae of prism types are larger than those of cylinder types; (7) seasonal distribution- cylinder types are dominated in summer and prism types in the other seasons.
The realization and the performance of ICP source are strongly affected by its electrical impedance and the electric/magnetic field distribution. The ICP source impedance is determined by the antenna impedance and the plasma one. It is preferred to keep the imaginary impedance between -100 ohm to 100 ohm, since it should be avoided the high voltage formation on the antenna and abrupt impedance variation during the thin film process. The plasma uniformity is affected by the electric and magnetic field which is formed by the antenna current and voltage. The influence of azimuthal symmetry are shown by the electromagnetic simulation and the measurement result of plasma density. The radial uniformity can be controlled by locating the concentric antennas which have different diameters. The power distribution ratio and its control method are presented in the case of parallel antenna connections.
This study was conducted to investigate the population structure and dynamics of the Picea jezoensis stands which are located in Mt. Gyebangsan and surveyed from March to October 2012. Results showed that the diameter class distribution of P. jezoensis presented a reverse J-shaped distribution pattern with 32 trees less than 10 cm DBH, 20 trees in 10~30 cm DBH, and 11 trees more than 30 cm DBH. It showed seedlings and saplings of P. jezoensis seem to prefer areas with more sun light or with open upper layer. It was also observed that P. jezoensis preferes areas with organic soils and abundant water such as areas around stumps. Also, occurrences of P. jezoensis stands were analyzed through annual mean radial growth of the trees. And the results showed that the growth naturally or artificially occurred approximately on the years 1854, 1915, 1918, 1993 and 2002 years. Most of the gap-makers were classified as standing dead type with 23 individuals (45.1%).
Geosynchronous electron flux dropouts are most likely due to fast drift loss of the particles to the magnetopause (or equivalently, the "magnetopause shadowing effect"). A possible effect related to the drift loss is the radial diffusion of PSD due to gradient of PSD set by the drift loss effect at an outer L region. This possibly implies that the drift loss can affect the flux levels even inside the trapping boundary. We recently investigated the details of such diffusion process by solving the diffusion equation with a set of initial and boundary conditions set by the drift loss. Motivated by the simulation work, we have examined observationally the energy spectrum and pitch angle distribution near trapping boundary during the geosynchronous flux dropouts. For this work, we have first identified a list of geosynchronous flux dropout events for 2007-2010 from GOES satellite electron measurements and solar wind pressures observed by ACE satellite. We have then used the electron data from the Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms (THEMIS) spacecraft measurements to investigate the particle fluxes. The five THEMIS spacecraft sufficiently cover the inner magnetospheric regions near the equatorial plane and thus provide us with data of much higher spatial resolution. In this paper, we report the results of our investigations on the energy spectrum and pitch angle distribution near trapping boundary during the geosynchronous flux dropout events and discuss implications on the effects of the drift loss on the flux levels at inner L regions.
