필름 스캐너에서 역전파 신경회로망을 이용한 색 보정 (Color Correction Using Back Propagation Neural Network in Film Scanner)

  • 필름 스캐너는 기존의 광학 필름으로부터 고해상도와 고화질의 디지털 영상을 취득할 수 있는 입력 장치로, 최근 인쇄 및 편집 전문가들의 사용이 증대되고 있다. 그러나 광원 및 센서의 비선형적 특성으로 인해 원 필름 영상의 컬러와 스캔된 영상의 컬러가 일치하지 않는 문제가 발생한다. 따라서 필름 스캐너에서는 스캔된 디지털 영상에 대한 색 보정이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 스캔된 RGB 색공간의 데이터를 L$^{*}$ /a$^{*}$ /b$^{*}$ 색 공간으로 변환한 후 역전파 신경회로망을 이용하여 색 보정한다. 또한 TMS320C32 DSP 칩과 고해상도 라인 센서를 사용하여 R, G, B 각각 12 비트의 색분해도와 2400 dpi 급의 해상도를 갖는 필름 스캐너로 직접 구현하여 색 보정의 검증을 하였으며, 역 전파 신경망에 적용한 결과 평균 색 보정률이 79.8%로, 기존의 다항회귀법보다 43.5% 성능이 개선된 결과이다.

국소 허혈성 뇌졸중 모델 흰쥐의 인지기능에 반복경두개자기자극이 미치는 효과 (Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Enhancement of Cognitive Function in Focal Ischemic Stroke Rat Model)

  • Purpose : This study is intended to examine the repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on cognitive function in the focal ischemic stroke rat model. Methods : This study selected 30 Sprague-Dawley rats of 8 weeks. The groups were divided into two groups and assigned 15 rats to each group. Control group: Non-treatment after injured by focal ischemic stroke; Experimental group: application of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(0.1 Tesla, 25 Hz, 20 min/time, 2 times/day, 5 days/2 week) after injured by focal ischemic stroke. To assess the effect of rTMS, the passive avoidance test, spatial learning and memory ability test were analyzed at the pre, 1 day, $7^{th}$ day, $14^{th}$ day and immunohistochemistric response of BDNF were analyzed in the hippocampal dentate gyrus at $7^{th}$ day, $14^{th}$ day. Results : In passive avoidance test, the outcome of experimental group was different significantly than the control group at the $7^{th}$ day, $14^{th}$ day. In spatial learning and memory ability test, the outcome of experimental group was different significantly than the control group at the $7^{th}$ day, $14^{th}$ day. In immunohistochemistric response of BDNF in the hippocampal dentate gyrus, experimental groups was more increased than control group. Conclusion : These result suggest that improved cognitive function by repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation after focal ischemic stroke is associated with dynamically altered expression of BDNF in hippocampal dentate gyrus and that is related with synaptic plasticity.

다항회귀를 이용한 필름 스캐너에서의 색보정 (Color Correction Using Polynomial Regression in Film Scanner)

  • 오늘날 멀티미디어의 응용이 크게 늘면서 영상 취득 장치의 수요가 증대되고 있다. 그중 필름 스캐너는 고해상도와 고화질의 디지털 영상을 취득할 수 있는 장치이다. 그러나 필름 스캐너에서는 광원 및 센서의 비선형적 특성으로 인해 원 필름 영상의 컬러와 스캔된 영상의 컬러가 정확히 일치하지 않는 문제가 발생한다. 따라서, 필름 스캐너에서는 스캔된 디지털 영상에 대한 색보정이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 스캔된 RGB 색공간의 데이터를 CIE L/sup */a/sup */b/sup */ 색공간으로 변환한 후 다항회귀를 이용하여 색보정한다. 또한, TMS320C32 DSP 칩과 고해상도 라인 센서를 사용하여 R, G, B 각각 12 비트의 색분해도와 2400 dpi 급의 해상도를 갖는 스캐너 하드웨어를 구현하였다. 제작한 스캐너의 색보정 성능을 평가하기 위한 실험 결과, 색보정 전에는 평균색차 (ΔE/sup *//sub ab/)가 13.48 이었던 것이 색보정 후에는 8.46으로 감소함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문은 CDMA2000 1X 신호 환경에서 동작하는 스마트 안테나 기지국의 각 안테나 소자에서 수신된 독립적인 신호를 이용하여 다이버시티 이득을 얻는 액세스 채널 복조기를 구현하고 구현된 복조기의 성능을 분석한다. 제안된 액세스 채널 복조기는 4개의 핑거를 지원하는 탐색기와 왈쉬 복조기 그리고 복조 제어기로 구성되고, 이들은 Alters사의 백만 게이트급 FPGA인 APEX EP20K1000EBC652와 TI사의 TMS320C6203으로 구현되었다. 제안된 액세스채널 복조기는 스마트 안테나 기지국이 최적의 웨이트 벡터를 얻을 수 없는 액세스 상태에서 데이터 복조 성능을 증가시키는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 실증시험을 통해서 위상 다이버시티 기법이 적용된 액세스채널 복조기의 성능이 기존의 액세스채널 복조기보다 우수함을 액세스 프로브 검출 확률, 액세스 실패 확률, 왈쉬 복조기에서의 $E_{b/}$ $N_{o}$ 항목에서 확인하였다.다.

Transcranial direct current stimulation for spinal cord injury-associated neuropathic pain

  • Several types of pain occur following spinal cord injury (SCI); however, neuropathic pain (NP) is one of the most intractable. Invasive and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques have been studied in clinical trials to treat chronic NP following SCI. The evidence for invasive stimulation including motor cortex and deep brain stimulation via the use of implanted electrodes to reduce SCI-related NP remains limited, due to the small scale of existing studies. The lower risk of complications associated with non-invasive stimulation, including transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), provide potentially attractive alternative central neuromodulation techniques. Compared to rTMS, tDCS is technically easier to apply, more affordable, available, and potentially feasible for home use. Accordingly, several new studies have investigated the efficacy of tDCS to treat NP after SCI. In this review, articles relating to the mechanisms, clinical efficacy and safety of tDCS on SCI-related NP were searched from inception to December 2019. Six clinical trials, including five randomized placebo-controlled trials and one prospective controlled trial, were included for evidence specific to the efficacy of tDCS for treating SCI-related NP. The mechanisms of action of tDCS are complex and not fully understood. Several factors including stimulation parameters and individual patient characteristics may affect the efficacy of tDCS intervention. Current evidence to support the efficacy of utilizing tDCS for relieving chronic NP after SCI remains limited. Further strong evidence is needed to confirm the efficacy of tDCS intervention for treating SCI-related NP.

  • The inverter for UPS system is required to satisfy pure sinusoidal output voltage with very low THD(Total Harmonic distortion). This paper proposes a TMS320c31 digital signal processor based predictive instantaneous control scheme of inverter. The proposed scheme is able to satisfy the conditions; high capability, high efficiency, low audible noise and robustness of inverter. The transient state characteristics of proposed inverter has been improved. in case of power failure or recovery, nonlinear load, sudden load change or parameters variations. Finally, the performance of the proposed inverter is shown and discussed by simulation and experiment.

  • Software linear and exponential acceleration/deceleration algorithms for control of machine axes of motion in industrial robots and CNC machine tools are proposed. Typical hardware systems used to accelerate and decelerate axes of motion are mathematically analyzed. Discrete-time state equations are derived from the mathematical analyses for the development of software acceleration/deceleration algorithms. Synchronous control method of multiple axes of motion in industrial robots and CNC machine tools is shown to be easily obtained on the basis of the proposed acceleration/deceleration algorithms. The path error analyses are carried out for the case where the software linear and exponential acceleration/deceleration algorithms are applied to a circular interpolator. A motion control system based on a floating point digital signal processor (DSP) TMS 320C30 is developed in order to implement the proposed algorithms. Experimental results demonstrate that the developed algorithms and the motion control system are available for control of multiple axes and nonlinear motion composed of a combination of lines and circles which industrial robots and CNC machine tools require.

Broadband polarimetric Microstrip Antennas for Space-borne SAR

  • A novel phased array antenna system for space-borne polarimetric SAR is proposed and completed in this paper.The antenna system assures polarimetric and multi-mode capability of SAR. It has broadband, high polarization isolation and high port to port isolation. The antenna system is composed of broadband polarimetric microstrip antenna, T/R modules and multifunction beam controller nit. The polarimetric microstrip antenna has more than 100MHz bandwidth at L-band with -30dB polarization isolation and high port to port isolation. The microstrip element and T/R module's structure and characteristics, the subarray's performances measuring results are presented in detail in this paper. A design scheme on beam controller of the phased array antenna is also proposed and completed, which is based on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) chip -TMS320F206. This beam controller unit has small size and high reliability compared with general beam controller. In addition, the multifunction beam controller unit can acquire and then send the T/R module's working states to detection system in real time.

  • This paper presents Samsung CNC (Computer Numerical Controller) system with an intel 80486/487 as the main CPU and a 32 bit floating point DSP(Digital Signal Processor) TMS320C30 as the motion control CPU. The Samsung CNC system diverse user-frienly characteristics such as multi-tasking, powerful menu system, internal PLC system, and 2/3 dimensional graphics in wire and solid mode. The main CPU executes central processing program, user interface program, interpreter, BMI, etc while the motion control CPU carries out some interpolations, acceleration/deceleration, and PID control algorithm with feedforward terms. Complex interpolations except linear and circular ones are performed on the main control CPU. The experimental results for the circular interpolation under linear acceleration/deceleration shows that the proposed CNC system can be widely used in controlling machining centers with good machining accuracy.

  • There are differences in method and cycle of flow rate survey depending on purpose of the operating department. To verify and use results of flow data according to the purpose, flow data of the directly measured and tele monitoring system were compared to verify validity. Flow measurement in the Ministry of Environment is aimed at setting up a standard flow of target water quality for water quality management and securing flow data of low and normal water level seasons for water quality evaluation. In this study, correlation analysis result ($R^2$) of same time zone data by direct measurement and tele monitoring system (TMS) at Seombon D point, a unit watershed of Seomjin river, for six years ('10 ~ '15) according to implementation of Total Daily Maximum Load (TDML) was wading 0.716, boating 0.962 and on bridge 0.943, and effectiveness of measurement method was verified by characteristics of flow duration as a season of dry and low-water; normal and high water are appropriate for wading, boating, and on bridge respectively. Results revealed it is reasonable to use directly measured results using the wading and boating method for low water level and dry seasons, and TMS data for rainy seasons. It can be used important data for future policy decisions.
