The Effects of Base Oil Quality on the Performance of GF-3 Engine Oil

  • The International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) GF-3 passenger car engine oil specification has been introduced commercially in July 2001. The new specification oil provides superior performance in terms of fuel economy, control of high temperature deposits, and oil consumption. These enhanced performances of GF-3 engine oil need high quality base oil as well as a better additive system. In this paper, the effect of base oil on various performances of ILSAC GF-3 engine oil was investigated. From the GF-3 sequence engine tests, Group III base oil shows better performance in fuel economy retention, oxidation and varnish control than combination of group III and group II or group III and group 1.

  • The Objective of this study is to analyze structural and operational aspects of the govern-ment, its associations, industries and academic associations related to metal-plating industry, and thereby recommend ways of promotion of subsector, which is yet to be developed. Stages for the implementation are proposed as follows. 1) Stage One: Preparation for formation of proper atmosphere. ⅰ) Clearance of unlicenced metal-plating factories. ⅱ) Strengthening of functions of the association. ⅲ) Provision of incentives through the tax system. 2) Stage-Two : Modernization and maturity ⅰ) Introduction of system for indicating quality of products. ⅱ) Implementation of joint and cooperative-based programs ⅲ) Technical advancement of the closed system and anti-pollution treatment. 3) Stage Three : Settlement ⅰ) Systematic use of statistics and information. ⅱ) Standardization of quality of the products.

  • We examined sensory characteristics to determine the optimal conditions for flounder Verasper moseri Jordan et Gilbert sikhe preparation, using response surface methodology. Our aim was to develop the optimum mixing rates and materials for producing highly palatable flounder sikhe. The optimal fermentation temperature, salt concentration, and fermentation period for preparing flounder sikhe of acceptable quality were $11.63^{\circ}C$, 4.66% and 9.12 days, respectively. The optimal percentages of red pepper powder, garlic, monosodium glutamate, ginger, radish and foxtail millet were 16.08%, 7.21%, 2.96%, 3.70%, 10.12% and 13.72% respectively.

  • Korean Standard Certificate , suitable for the korean industrial standards is one which was designed not only to spread and utilize the industrial standard established for the industrial standardization but to protect the consumer In this study, the practical effects of the Korean Standard Certificate will be examined in various fields, based on the small medium enterprises which achieved the K.S. Certificate In order to look into how the system has effects on the performance of the management in a company, the method of the actual approach will be used. In the end, the purpose of this study is to find the plan in which KS Certificate can be helpful to the development of the company.

A Study on the Standardization of the Preparation Method for Waxy Rice Nochi (찹쌀 노치 제조법에 관한 연구)

  • Nochi is a kind of Korean traditional food made from glutinous rice or millet. This study attempted to examine the effects o( the various factors and to clarify the factors which affect the overall eating quality of Noch. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Starch content of waxy rice was 72.4% and IBC was 0.017%. 2. $\alpha$-amylase and $\beta$-amylase activity of malt were 40.13 and 8.94 units respectively. 3. Waxy rice soaked for 3 hours was ground to flour then sifted 20 mesh sieve. The mixture of waxy rice and malt was steamed for 20 minutes. 4. In sensory evaluation on varying the amount of malt and incubation time, the most favorite tendancy of the overall eating quality was at the level of 8hours incubation made by 5% addition of malt. 5. Total sugar contents, reducing sugar contents and the intensities of iodine stain at the incubation temperature of $60^{\circ}C$ were significantly different from those at $50^{\circ}C$.

  • In the plastic extrusion process, product quality is influenced by work condition for temperature of cylinders and dies. The work conditions are various, so it is difficult to standardization of the work conditions. Therefore, the work conditions are depended on the workers of experience and skill. In the plastic extrusion process, it has five control heating points on the cylinder and three control heating points on the die. In addition, there is one control point on the extrusion process. It is extrusion speed. In this case, we don't know how these affect product quality. We structure the multiple linear regression equation with the temperature of cylinders and dies as independent variables and the product weight as dependent variable. We solve this equation using statistic computer package named Juse-Qcas.

  • The paradigm of mobile communication technology has changed from an increase in transmission capacity to service-based technologies satisfying various types of service requirements. One of the new paradigms is a service that provides users with a QoE (Quality Of Experience (QoE), at anytime and anywhere. 5G defines various technologies such as dense network structures and beam selection for increasing the transmission capacity and ensuring the quality of experience so as to satisfy this requirement, and related research is underway. In this paper, we describe the definition of a 5G small cell and 5G network structure as well as research trends of standardization and related technologies for constructing optimal solutions for mobile users in dense networks based on small cells.

  • Recently, the strategy of the age of limitless competition for existence of manufacturing company appears for the enhancement of productivity through the automatic system, the reduction for the cost for standardization and the decision making process for the information system. Especially the critical success factors in manufacturing company can be summarized for the establishment of production visibility through the production management, material & work-in-process management, the establish of the flexible manufacturing system for the changed order priority and the establish of the quality system for improvement of product and process quality. The existing production management systems supply only simple information about production results on real time, can delay quick decision making. And it can prevent acquiring the information about various customer needs and the communication problems with other systems. In this paper, it will show MES system, a solution for the problems of existing production management systems. And through a case study of D company, it will reveal improvement effect on shipment error using MES system and economic analysis for MES itself.

  • In this status no inspection standard of quality in repair of present concrete structure has a problem to repair for simple experience. In this paper for this problem improvement, it made an analysis of relation to injection quantity of crack width, injection time of crack width, injection pressure of crack width, injection pressure and time, injection quantity of structural size, injection quantity of structural individual crack position, injection time about crack width. and structural thickness. The data gained in analysis result be judged that it will help in systematic quality control about concrete structural repair.
