Critical Factors Influencing Revisit Intention of Large Restaurant Chains in Myanmar

  • Purpose: This study examined how many determinant factors (service dimensions, food quality, and price perception) affect revisit intention. This practical concept is service quality (SERVQUAL), customer satisfaction, and repeated/revisit behavioral intention based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA). Research design, data and methodology: This research applied a hybrid mixed-method comprising exploratory and explanatory sequential design by Creswell (2014). The 400 responses were collected in four townships in Myanmar. This study drilled down to exploratory factor analysis (EFA) followed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) prior to test the hypothesized factor structure of all the variables resulted in the form of the goodness of fit. For further data analysis, structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to test the relationships among the variables of the proposed model. Results: The results showed that perceived service quality, food quality, and price perception have direct effects on customer satisfaction and indirect effect on revisit intention. The perceived service quality has the most significant influence while the food quality has the least influence on customer satisfaction. Conclusions: The results are useful for the restaurant managers to better understand the significant strategic choice factors to improve higher quality service amongst restaurants both domestic and international under the stiff competition.

쇠고기 원산지 이미지가 소비자 품질지각, 태도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Country-of-origin image of Beef on Consumer's Quality Perception, Attitude and Purchase Intention)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 쇠고기 원산지 이미지가 소비자 품질지각, 태도 및 구매 의도의 효과를 조사하는 것이다. 실증 분석 대상자는 서울 지역 소재인 쇠고기를 구매한 경험이 있는 일반인을 대상으로 2010년 12월 27일부터 2011년 1월 10일까지 15일 동안 300부를 배포하여 불성실한 설문 56부를 제외한 244부를 분석 자료로 사용 하였다. 첫째, 쇠고기 원산지 이미지는 소비자들의 품질지각, 태도 및 구매 의도에 유의한 영향 관계를 가진다. 둘째, 소비자들의 품질지각은 소비자 태도 구매의도에 정의 영향 관계를 가진다. 셋째, 소비자의 태도는 구매 의도에 정의 영향 관계를 가진다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과, 쇠고기 원산지에 대한 국가 이미지가 소비자 품질지각, 태도 및 구매의도 모두 유의한 영향 관계가 있는 것으로 판단되며, 아래와 같이 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 쇠고기의 원산지 이미지를 향상시키기 위해서 쇠고기를 친환경적으로 사육하고, 정기적인 검진 통을 통하여 위생적이고 안정적인 제품 생산을 하고 이에 적극적인 홍보 활동을 강화함으로써 쇠고기 이미지를 증대 시킬 수 있는 방안을 마련해야 할 것이다.

주택유형이 주거환경의 질인지와 주거만족도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of housing type on the perception of the quality of housing environement and housing satisfaction)

  • This study is intended to compare the quality of housing envirionments between single family house and apartments. To be specific, firstly, it is to be examined as to whether there exists any differences between residents of single family house and those of highrise apartments in terms of their perception of the quality of housing environment. Secondly, the major factors of the perception of the quality of housing environment may be linked to the level of housing satisfaction are to be explored in this study. The perception of the quality housing environment is composed of four factors such as living space, noise, neighbor environment, and structural feature. For the purpose, questionnaires were adinistered to 125 home makers living in single family house and 125 home makers in high-rise apartments in Kwangju. The data were analyzed with factor analysis, analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis.The following conclusions are derived from the data analysis in thi study: 1) Resjdents of apartments tended to be more satisfied with structural feature of housing unit and less satisfied with noise than those of single family house. There are negligible differences between two housing types in perception of the quality of living space, and neighbor environment. 2) According to the singhle family house group, it is found that structural feature, neighbor environment, and living space predict most of the variance in the level of housing unit satisfaction. It is also turned out that neighbor environment, noise, and structural feature have impact on the level of neighborhood statisfaction. 3) the apartments group shows that structural feature is the only predictor having impact on housing unit satisfaction. It is found that neighbor environment factor predicted the level of neighborhood satisfaction.

인터넷 쇼핑몰에서의 패션상품 구매의도 결정요인 (Discriminative Factors of Buying Intention in Fashion Internet Shopping)

  • The purposes of this study was to investigate discriminative factors of clothing buying intention on Internet shopping mall. The sample included 435 male(44.8%) and female(55.2% ) adults, and an instrument was developed based on previous studies. The statistical analysis used for this study were factor analysis, 1-test, and LISREL. The results of factor analysis showed that consumers evaluated apparel internet shopping attributes based on perceptional dimensions of internet shopping consisted of clothing quality and value. web service quality and value, and adoption of internet shopping. Each dimension has sub-factors as follows: (1) clothing quality was perceived as 'artistry' 'sociality' and 'practicality'. (2) web interface service quality was perceived as 'visuality', 'advantage', 'response', 'dependability' and 'buying-confidence'. (3) internet shopping adoption was perceived as 'usefulness' and 'convenience'. T-test revealed that consumer's buying intention, re-entry intention, and store attitude were differed concerning all sub-factors including 'usefulness' and 'convenience' in adoption of Internet shopping dimension. As a result of LISREL, clothing buying intention path model was set up as following path. (1) 'artistry', 'sociality' and 'practicality' of clothing quality affected clothing value perception positively. (2) 'visuality', 'advantage', 'response' and 'buying-confidence' of web service quality affected web service value perception positively. (3) clothing and web service value perception affected store attitude positively. (4) store attitude affected clothing buying intention positively. However, Adoption of Internet shopping dimension that was perceived as usefulness and convenience did not affect clothing buying intention path model. Therefore, consumers buying, intention model in internet circumstance could be used nearly the same as real market circumstance.

일부 서울지역 대학식당의 급식서비스에 대한 고객 만족도 평가 (Assessment of Customer Satisfaction of Service Quality in University Foodservices)

  • The purpose of the study was to assess customer satisfaction concerning service quality characteristics of university foodservice by using a developed DINESERV model. In particular, it was intended to develop a tool to assess the difference between customer judgements on importance and customers perceptions with actual service delivery by university foodservices. Quenstionnaires were distributed to 1,000 university students. A total at 820 university students responded with a usable response rate of 77.7%. A statistical data analysis was completed using SAS programs for descriptive analysis; a t-test, chi-square test and Dunan's multiple range test. The results of the study are as follows; 1) The mean number of students visiting university foodservices per week for males was larger than that of females. The students' first choice depended on distance when they selected foodservices. They answered their preference as the first factor when they order a particular menu items in foodservices. The first complaint factor concerning university foodservices was the price of the food. 2) Customers was not satisfied with the quality of the service of university foodservices. The important mean score of the service quality was 3.63 out of 5, but the perception mean score of the service quality was 2.87. Therefore, there was a gap(0.76) between the importance score and perception score. 3) Customers' satisfaction with the service quality by dimensions wee int he follow order: assurance>reliability>responsiveness>tangibles>empathy. Customers were more satisfied with the service quality of contracted management than that of self-operated facilities.

웰다잉의 구성요소와 삶의 질 간의 상관관계 (Correlation between the components of dying with dignity and quality of life)

  • 본 연구는 한국인이 생각하는 웰다잉 인식의 구성요소와 삶의 질 간의 상관관계를 알아보고자 한다. 연구대상은 층화 비례배분 방식으로 추출하였고, 전국 17개 시와 도의 만 19세 이상 만 75세 미만의 성인 1,000명으로 선정하였다. 설문구성은 일반적 특성 2문항, 삶의 질 척도 26문항, 웰다잉 인식 척도 57문항이었다. 통계 검정법으로는 빈도 분석, 독립표본 t-검정, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 삶의 질은 사회적인 삶의 질이 가장 높았으며, 가족 죽음의 경험 유무에 따라 가족의 죽음 경험이 있는 대상자가 가족의 죽음 경험이 없는 대상자에 비해, 신체적, 심리적, 환경적, 사회적 영역의 삶의 질이 모두 통계적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 연구대상자의 웰다잉 인식 중에서는 죽음 준비의 점수가 가장 높았으며, 그 중에서도 심리 경제적 부담 경감의 점수가 가장 높았다. 연구대상자의 삶의 질은 웰다잉 인식의 모든 영역인 신체적 증상과 통제, 죽음준비, 죽음환경, 가족 및 사회관계, 병원치료, 심리 존엄 영성 부분에서 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 중년층을 대상으로 한 다른 연구에서는 노후를 위해 죽음을 받아들이는 자세가 우선적으로 중요하다고 인식한 경우와, 죽음준비교육에 참여할 의향이 있다고 응답한 경우가 삶의 질이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대상자의 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위해서는 죽음준비 및 웰다잉 교육에 웰다잉 인식의 각 영역을 프로그램으로 계획하여 교육한다면 삶의 질을 높이는 데에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 사료된다.

또래 괴롭힘에 관련된 아동의 친구관계와 자아지각 (Children's Friendship and Self-perception in Relation to Peer Bullying and Victimization)

  • Relationships between peer bullying/victimization, friendship, and self- perception were examined in a sample of 279 fourth, fifth, and sixth grade elementary school students. Data on peer bullying/victimization was collected by peer report using Korean Peer Nomination Inventory; children reported for themselves on the Friendship Quality Scale and the Self-Perception Scale. Children who were involved in peer bullying/victimization reported fewer reciprocal friends and friends similar to themselves; they also showed low friendship quality. Peer victimization was predictable from low perception of social acceptance and friendship satisfaction, while intimacy with friends and high confidence on physical ability predicted peer bullying.

도서관의 이용패턴과 서비스품질이 정보화성과지각 및 만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Use Patterns and Service Quality on Performance and Use Satisfaction on Library Information System)

  • 전자정보기술의 발달로 인해 도서관 서비스제공은 정보화시스템에 대한 의존 비중이 커져가고 있다. 이러한 상황의 변화에 따라 본 연구는 이용자의 도서관 정보화에 대한 성과지각과 정보화를 통한 이용 만족은 전반적 만족에 중요한 선행요인이 될 것으로 추론하였다. 뿐만 아니라 기존 연구는 대체로 도서관의 서비스제공측면에서 이용자의 인식이나 만족을 조사하였으나 본 연구는 시각을 달리하여 이용자측면에서 단순 열람목적의 일반적 이용과, 전문정보구득 목적의 전문적 이용패턴이 정보화 성과지각에 어떻게 다르게 영향을 미치는지에 대해서 조사하였다. 또한 서비스품질차원이 정보화성과지각과 이용만족에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 마지막으로 서비스품질차원이 정보화성과지각과 이용만족에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과는 첫째, 도서관 이용자의 열람 등 일반적 목적 이용이 정보화성과지각에 영향을 미치는지 검증하고자 하였으나 유의한 수준에 미치지 못했다. 둘째, 도서관 이용자의 특정 정보구득 등 전문적 목적의 이용이 정보화성과지각에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 일반적 서비스품질인 상호작용품질, 결과품질, 물리적환경품질 차원은 정보화성과지각에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나 정보화이용만족에는 유의하지 않았다. 마지막으로, 도서관 이용자의 정보화성과지각과 정보화이용만족이 전반적인 만족을 선행하고 있음을 밝혔다. 이를 통해 도서관의 정보화시스템을 어떻게 이용자중심으로 체계화하여 발전시킬 것인지에 대해 심층적인 고찰이 필요함을 확인하였다.

병원의 사회적 책임활동에 대한 의료소비자의 인식 (Customers' Awareness about Corporate Social Responsibility Activities of Hospital)

  • The purpose of this study is to discover the influence of customer's awareness toward corporate social responsibility(CSR) activities to service quality perception of the hospital. The survey was conducted on 211 patients at the general hospital in Seoul from April 2 to 30 in 2012. For the statistical analysis of data, ttest, ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were implemented. The results of the study were as follows. First, The personal tendency toward CSR was different by social groups. The elderly showed more tendency toward CSR. Second, there was a statistical significant relationship between the personal tendency toward CSR and the number of perceived CSR activities. Third, the effects of CSR activities were different from the perception of service quality. The awareness of volunteering social activities turned out to be negative factor of service quality perception.

미국산 청바지에 대한 소비자 태도의 비교문화 분석 -한국과 멕시코의 남녀소비자를 대상으로 - (Cross-Cultural Comparison of Consumer Attitudes toward US Brand Jeans -among Korean and Mexican consumers-)

  • An understanding of consumers' evaluative processes and the consumer variables that influence cross-cultural evaluations of foreign products is essential to effectively penetrate international markets. This study compared consumers in two developing countries, Korea and Mexico, regarding their product evaluations and purchase intentions for US Levi's jeans. Both Korean and Mexican consumers are generally quality and price conscious. Korean consumers appeared to be more value-conscious than Mexican consumers. Mexican consumers exhibited high level of brand and prestige conscious behavior. Findings in this study support that culture bound consumer characteristics vary from country to country resulting in differences in perception of quality, value and purchase intentions for a particular product. The perception of product quality differs from perception of value and subsequent willingness to buy. For a comprehensive understanding of consumer purchase behavior, the impact of value-conscious attitude on percetion of quality and on purchase intentions should be examined.
