There have been many studies to improve the efficiency of the CG production process, but it was not easy to overcome the problem that it was difficult to check the result in the middle of work and it took a lot of time for rendering. However, as the possibility of using Unreal Live Link, which can check the result in real-time, is increasing, expectations for improving the efficiency of the production process are rising. This study analyzed the efficiency of the 3D animation production process using Unreal Live Link. To this end, modeling, rigging, animation, and layout work were done in Maya, and the final output image sequence was rendered in Unreal Engine through Unreal Live Link. And the difference between this production process and the existing production process in which the final output image sequence is rendered in the 3D software itself was compared and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, unlike the traditional 3D animation production process, it was possible to check the final work result in real-time by proceeding with the work through a high-quality viewport screen, and it was found that the efficiency of work was maximized by deriving the final result through real-time screen capture. Recently, the use of game engines in the 3D animation and film industry is gradually increasing, and the efficiency of work is expected to be maximized if Unreal Live Link is used.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the EMG characteristics of driver's upper extremity and driving performance for manipulating brake and accelerator pedal by using left and right hand control devices during simulated driving. The people with disabilities in the lower limb have problems in operation of the motor vehicle because of functional loss for manipulating brake and accelerator pedal. Therefore, if hand control device is used for adaptive driving controls in people with lower limb impairments, the disabled people can improve their quality of life by driving a motor vehicle. Six subjects were participated in this study to evaluate driving performance and muscle activities for operating brake and accelerator pedal by using two different hand controls (steering column mounted hand control and floor mounted hand control) in driving simulator. We measured EMG activities of six muscles (posterior deltoid, middle deltoid, triceps, biceps, flexor carpi radialis, and extensor carpi radialis) during pushing and pulling movement with different hand controls for acceleration and braking. STISim Drive 3 software was used for the performance test of different hand control devices in straight lane course for time to reach target speed and brake reaction time. While pulling the hand control lever toward the driver, normalized EMG activities of middle deltoid, triceps and flexor carpi radialis in subjects with disabilities were significantly increased (p < 0.05) compared to the normal subjects. It was also found that muscle responses of posterior deltoid were significantly increased (p < 0.05) when using the right hand control than left hand control. While pushing the hand control lever forward away from the driver, normalized EMG activities of posterior deltoid, middle deltoid and extensor carpi radialis in subjects with disability were significantly increased (p < 0.05) compared to the normal subjects. It was shown that muscle responses of middle deltoid, biceps and extensor carpi radialis were significantly increased when using the right hand control than left hand control. Brake reaction time and time to reach target speed in subjects with disability was increased by 12% and 11.3% on average compared to normal subjects. The subjects with physical disabilities showed a tendency to relatively slow acceleration at the straight lane course.

Modeling urban climate caused by land use conversion is critical for human welfare and sustainable development, but has hampered because detailed information on urban characteristics is hard to obtain. With the advantage of satellite observations and the new statistical boundary system, this paper measures the economic and environmental effects of green area loss due to land use conversion in urban areas. To perform this purpose, data were collected from the various sources basic statistical unit data from the National Statistical Office, digital maps from the National Geographic Information Institute, satellite images, and field surveys when necessary. All data (maps and attributes) are built into the geographic information system (GIS). This paper also utilizes Landsat TM 5 imagery of Daegu city to derive vegetation index and to measure average surface temperature. The satellite data were examined using standard image processing software, ERDAS IMAGINE, and the results of the digital processing were presented with ARCVIEW(v.3.3). SAS package was used to perform statistical analyses. This study presents that there exists a strong relationship between land use change and climatic change as well as land price change. Based on results of the analysis, this paper suggests that planners should implement effective tools and policies of urban growth management to detect environmental quality and to make right decisions on policies concerning smart urban growth.

The mobile application market has grown over the past decade since the advent of smartphones, making it the largest market for electronic device software. As competition intensifies in the mobile application market, the impact of application evaluations on the consumption and usage patterns of users has also significantly increased. Therefore, research has been conducted on measures to evaluate mobile applications, but most of the research has relied on qualitative methods such as expert-centered interviews or surveys. In addition, evaluation measures are being constructed from the service provider's perspective, not from the service user's perspective. However, the possibility of application-specific analyses that minimize the subjectivity of researchers is growing, as large amounts of user review data enable quantitative analysis of actual users' assessment of applications. Therefore, this study presents a methodology that can complement current problems with existing quality assessments for mobile applications by utilizing user review data. To this end, the Topic Modeling technique LDA (Latent Dirichlet allocation) is applied in order to elucidate ways to improve existing evaluation measures from a user's perspective. The study is expected to reduce bias in service assessment due to the subjectivity of service providers and researchers as well as provide a measure of assessment by area of mobile applications from a consumer perspective.
Services in SOA are typically perceived as black-box to service consumers, and can be dynamically evolved at runtime, and run on a number of unknown and heterogeneous environments. Because of these characteristics of the services, effective and efficient monitoring of various aspects on services is an essential functionality for autonomous management of service. But the problem with or limitation in conventional or existing approaches is, that they focus on services themselves, ignoring the effects by business processes. Consequently, there is a room for service monitoring which provides more useful information of business level by acquisition of only external monitoring data that depend on specific BPEL engine and middleware. Moreover, there is a strong demand to present effective methods to reduce monitoring overhead which can degrade quality of services. EDA can cope with such limitations in SOA by collecting and analyzing events efficiently. In this paper, we first describe EDA benefits in service monitoring, and classify monitorring target, and present an appropriate monitoring method for each monitoring target. Also to provide the applicability of our approach, an event meta-model is defined, and event processing model and architecture based on the meta-model are proposed. And, with the proposed architecture and method, we implement a prototype of an event-driven dynamic monitoring framework which can collect and process internal and external data at runtime. Finally, we present the result of a case study to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed approach.

Objective: From a review of published information on genetic association studies, a meta-analysis was conducted to determine the influence of the genes ${\kappa}-casein$ (CSN3) and ${\beta}-lactoglobulin$ (LGB) on milk yield traits in Holstein, Jersey, Brown Swiss, and Fleckvieh. Methods: The GLIMMIX procedure was used to analyze milk production and percentage of protein and fat in milk. Models included the main effects and all their possible two-way interactions; not estimable effects and non-significant (p>0.05) two-way interactions were dropped from the models. The three traits analyzed used Poisson distribution and a log link function and were determined with the Interactive Data Analysis of SAS software. Least square means and multiple mean comparisons were obtained and performed for significant main effects and their interactions (p<0.0255). Results: Interaction of breed by gene showed that Holstein and Fleckvieh were the breeds on which CSN3 ($6.01%{\pm}0.19%$ and $5.98%{\pm}0.22%$), and LGB ($6.02%{\pm}0.19%$ and $5.70%{\pm}0.22%$) have the greatest influence. Interaction of breed by genotype nested in the analyzed gene indicated that Holstein and Jersey showed greater influence of the CSN3 AA genotype, $6.04%{\pm}0.22%$ and $5.59%{\pm}0.31%$ than the other genotypes, while LGB AA genotype had the largest influence on the traits analyzed, $6.05%{\pm}0.20%$ and $5.60%{\pm}0.19%$, respectively. Furthermore, interaction of type of statistical model by genotype nested in the analyzed gene indicated that CSN3 and LGB genes had similar behavior, maintaining a difference of more than 7% across analyzed genotypes. These results could indicate that both Holstein and Jersey have had lower substitution allele effect in selection programs that include CSN3 and LGB genes than Brown Swiss and Fleckvieh. Conclusion: Breed determined which genotypes had the greatest association with analyzed traits. The mixed model based in Bayesian or Ridge Regression was the best alternative to analyze CSN3 and LGB gene effects on milk yield and protein and fat percentages.

The purpose of this study is to propose a Busan tourism industry in which the 2016 OECD Tourism policy and ICT convergence platform are applied. OECD proposed 3 policies to promote the tourism industry: First, to maintain the competitiveness of the tourism industry as well as improve its efficiency and sustainability, second, to establish a seamless traffic system, and third, to build a response to the sharing economy. Centering on the OECD's three policies, we propose the developmental possibilities of tourism in Busan. At the same time, we suggest the necessity to build an ICT convergence platform that will help foster the industry. In building an ICT convergence platform, we especially focus on the necessity of: 1. Sharing and creating experience-based interactive contents on the software side, and 2. Developing high quality user experience (UX) and providing a data analysis-based customized service on the hardware side. In addition, we insist on the establishment of the Tourism Promotion Agency for the continuous performance and management of Busan tourism industry. The study ultimately suggests that the construction of ICT convergence platform based on OECD tourism policy can result in the expected outcomes of high effects with low cost for both consumers and suppliers related to the tourism industry.

In a reality where negative perceptions and social prejudices towards individuals with mental illnesses persist, the absence and lack of social support systems acquired through personal intimate social networks can be considered a significant hindrance to the quality of life for those with mental disorders. Therefore, this study examined the impact of the characteristics of social networks and social support on the life satisfaction of individuals with mental illnesses. A survey was conducted with 180 patients from seven mental health treatment facilities in the Daegu area. The data were analyzed using MANOVA, hierarchical multiple regression analysis, and Sobel test for mediation analysis with SPSS 25 software. The key findings of the study revealed that the intimacy aspect of social networks had a positive and significant effect on social support and life satisfaction. On the other hand, the size of the social network showed a negative influence on social support. Furthermore, social support partially mediated the relationship between the intimacy of social networks and life satisfaction, and it fully mediated the relationship between the size of social networks and life satisfaction. Based on these research outcomes, practical and policy-related recommendations are provided to enhance life satisfaction through increased social support for this population.
Many of today's video systems have additional depth camera to provide extra features such as 3D support. Thanks to these changes made in multimedia system, it is now much easier to obtain depth information of the video. Depth information can be used in various areas such as object classification, background area recognition, and so on. With depth information, we can achieve even higher coding efficiency compared to only using conventional method. Thus, in this paper, we propose the 2D video coding algorithm which uses depth information on top of the next generation 2D video codec HEVC. Background area can be recognized with depth information and by performing HEVC with it, coding complexity can be reduced. If current CU is background area, we propose the following three methods, 1) Earlier stop split structure of CU with PU SKIP mode, 2) Limiting split structure of CU with CU information in temporal position, 3) Limiting the range of motion searching. We implement our proposal using HEVC HM 12.0 reference software. With these methods results shows that encoding complexity is reduced more than 40% with only 0.5% BD-Bitrate loss. Especially, in case of video acquired through the Kinect developed by Microsoft Corp., encoding complexity is reduced by max 53% without a loss of quality. So, it is expected that these techniques can apply real-time online communication, mobile or handheld video service and so on.

Mosaic is to make a big image by gathering lots of small materials having various colors. With advance of digital imaging techniques, photomosaic techniques using photos are widely used. In this paper, we presents an automatic photomosaic algorithm based on adaptive tiling and block matching. The proposed algorithm is composed of two processes: photo database generation and photomosaic generation. Photo database is a set of photos (or tiles) used for mosaic, where a tile is divided into $4{\times}4$ regions and the average RGB value of each region is the feature of the tile. Photomosaic generation is composed of 4 steps: feature extraction, adaptive tiling, block matching, and intensity adjustment. In feature extraction, the feature of each block is calculated after the image is splitted into the preset size of blocks. In adaptive tiling, the blocks having similar similarities are merged. Then, the blocks are compared with tiles in photo database by comparing euclidean distance as a similarity measure in block matching. Finally, in intensity adjustment, the intensity of the matched tile is replaced as that of the block to increase the similarity between the tile and the block. Also, a tile redundancy minimization scheme of adjacent blocks is applied to enhance the quality of mosaic photos. In comparison with Andrea mosaic software, the proposed algorithm outperforms in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
