  • This paper proposes a new terrestrial 3DTV broadcasting standard specification based on synchronization with non-real-time contents in order to overcome quality limitations of the current 3DTV services that are arisen from the limited bandwidth of the legacy broadcasting channel. In the services using the proposed specification, one view sequence of a stereoscopic video content is delivered as a non-real-time content in idle time, and the other view sequence is transmitted in real time broadcasting signal, thereafter two sequences are synchronized in a receiver for display. Thus, it is possible to provide higher-quality stereoscopic video content services than the current 3DTV services. In order to realize these services, a new mechanism is required which enables synchronization between the data that are from different transmission media and time. Therefore, this paper suggests a solution by multiplexing the synchronization signals of non-real-time contents into broadcasting signals with real-time streams together. This solution can provide a accurate synchronization mechanism by minimum updates of legacy broadcasting systems while maintaining compatibility with legacy services.

  • By means of numerous examples the practical possibility is demonstrated, which HPLC offers at the quality control of Ginseng-preparations. The method is not only suitable for quali-quantitative evaluation of finished products, but also for in-process controls at production of Ginseng specialities. From the examination of various German products which are on the European market, it results, that the contents of Ginsenosides fluctuate strongly. The mechanisms are shown, which could cause destruction of the Ginsenosides at the processing of Ginseng roots. The guiding principles for the production of standardized Ginseng preparations are defined.

  • This study is a part of the project to identify water-quality degradation mechanism due to Fe and Mn in the river-bank infiltration system in the Changwon city, Kyungsangnam-Do. Results of hydrogeochemical logging indicated that the matrix of the river bank affects groundwater quality, probably related with the hydraulic conductivities of the different layers of bank deposits. Electric conductivity logging data clearly show various layers of groundwater flows. Further studies are necessary to identify mechanisms of increasing dissolved oxygen contents with depths at some monitoring wells.

  • Lonicerae Folium et Caulis, the folium and stem of Lonicera japonica Thunb., has been used as diuretic, stomachic, antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent in Korea. We isolated a main iridoid, loganin which has some important biological effects from the folium and stem of this plant. Generally, it is known that iridoid compounds have variable contents by the collecting time and a part of plant. The content of main compound is important to evaluate its quality. In order to evaluate the quality of Lonicerae Folium et Caulis, the method of quantitative determination of loganin as a reference standard compound has been developed. (omitted)

  • QS-9000 was established by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and some Truck Manufactures to solve problems of efforts to prepare original standards for each company. When we compare the requirements in QS-9000 with those in ISO 9000, we may observe that those of QS-9000 are more specific, since the user of the standard is limited to the automobile industry. In particular, the requirements on statistical techniques are described in more detail. In this paper, we present the requirements on statistical techniques in QS-9000. Specifically, we review the contents of QS-9000 and explore the philosophy and the minimum requirement on statistical techniques behind the description.

  • An MPEG-2/4 AAC decoder on 16-bit fixed-point processor is presented in this paper. To meet audio quality criteria, despite small word length, special design methods for 16-bit foxed-point AAC decoder were devised. This paper presents particular algorithms for 16-bit AAC decoding. We have implemented an efficient AAC decoder using the proposed algorithms. Audio contents can be replayed in the decoder without quality degradation.

  • This study aims to analyze the impact of well-being tourism motivation on quality of life through well-being tourism satisfaction, focusing on wellness mediated effects. Recently, despite the growing number of well-being tourism pursuing wellness, the lack of research has led to a close analysis of the impact of well-being tourism motivation on quality of life through well-being tourism satisfaction. For this study, a total of 236 people who have experienced well-being tours in the metropolitan area were surveyed from May 10 to May 21, 2021. First, well-being tourism motivation has a positive effect on well-being tourism satisfaction. Second, well-being tourism satisfaction has a positive impact on the quality of life. Third, Wellness has a positive indirect effect as a partial mediator between well-being tourism satisfaction and quality of life The implications of this study are to demonstrate the impact of well-being tourism on quality of life using Wellness' mediators This study suggests that wellness tourism plays an important role in improving the quality of life. It was analyzed that well-being tourism had a positive effect on improving the quality of life at a time when the fatigue of daily life was increased due to prolonged COVID-19. In addition, Wellis analyzed that it is an important factor in enhancing the quality of life for well-being tourists. This contributes not only to the academic contribution to the revitalization of well-being tourism, but also to the development of stress improvement routes to improve people's lives nationally.
