  • This study was carried out to compare the taste and nutrient characteristics of Hanwoo chilled sirloin and rump with Australian beef sirloin and rump. Vitamin A, vitamin E and cholesterol were highest in Hanwoo among the three breeds (p<0.05). With regard to hexane composition, the percentage of inosine monophosphate (IMP) was the highest in Hanwoo. In addition, the sensory scores were also highest from Hanwoo. These results indicated from Hanwoo had the most acceptable quality among the five breeds tested (vitamin A, vitamin E, cholesterol, hexane, and sensory test).

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate variabilities in green moisture content, specific gravity and shrinkage in the stems of a Larch(Larix leptolepis) to provide fundamental information for technical processes. There were significant differences in green moisture contents, specific gravity and shrinkage between heratwood and sapwood. The green moisture content was correlated negatively with the height in the sapwood. On the other hands, in the heratwood, there was a positive correlation between moisture content and the height. There were no significant differences in specific gravity between south-bound and north-bound directions in both heartwood and sapwood. There were no significant differences in specific gravity due to the height in sapwood, but significant differences were foundin heartwood. There were no significant differences in shrinkage between south-bound and north-bound directions, and due to the height in most of heartwood and sapwood. However, shrinkage in north-bound direction was higher than that of in the south-bound direction in some sapwoods.

  • The popularity of the web based education has come the need for variety learning methods and for business to exploit the web not only for interoperability but also standardization. This way of standardization has come to researched for environments, contents and practical uses in ISO. The IEEE has special]y established five technical classes for LTSA which provide advanced e-learning environments. Feedback functions would not be supported and specified in standardization for Query Answer on LTSA. In this paper, we describe the query and answer model which we have developed on layer three of LTSA. We develop the redefined model for transforming data flow oriented into object or component based model. We have developed the Query Answer Metadata (QAM) based on Learning Object Metadata (LOM). We design and showed thing a prototyping implementation the Query Answer Learning Tool (QALT). We have used the QALT to address the problem of efficiency of web based education. We also used it to develop the related tools with quality and productivity.

  • This study was conducted into the effects of cover crops among the hairy vetch, red clover, rye, and hairy vetch+rye on the soil chemical and physical properties, and fruit yield in mature 'Fuyu' persimmon (Diospyros${\times}$kaki Thunb.) trees. The shallow-rooted red clover had poor dry matter production, resulting in the lowest coverage (66%) on the orchard floor. In contrast, the highest dry matter production observed in rye and hairy vetch+rye. Estimated N, P and K production from the cover crops were the highest on the hairy vetch+rye plots, increasing soil chemicals at a depth of 0-30 cm soil. Rye or hairy vetch+rye treatments decreased the soil bulk density and solid phase. As the hairy vetch+rye treatment increased fruit yield and sugar contents, it could be proposed as an suitable cover crop for improving productivity of persimmon trees.

  • In a situation when domestic construction market is expected to be stagnant, Overseas Information System for Construction Engineering (OVICE) is operated to support the construction SMEs that advance to the global market. In this study, we aimed to improve the quality of information service by providing direction of information provision, by comparing expert questionnaire with information system user statistics. For statistical analysis of information systems, to improve the efficiency of statistical analysis that is difficult to prioritize, K-means clustering is used for more efficient analysis. As a result, analyzing the difference between the survey results and the information system statistics, we were able to identify improvement point of information provision in the system and important contents that were not highlighted during the survey.

  • Recently, multimedia streaming service has been activated, and the demand for high-quality multimedia convergence contents services is predicted to increase significantly in the future. The issues of the increasing network load due to the rise of multimedia streaming traffic must be addressed in order to provide QoS guaranteed services. To do this, an efficient network resource management and mobility support technologies are needed through seamless mobility support for heterogeneous networks. Therefore, in this paper, an MIH technology was used to recognize the network situation information in advance and reduce packet loss due to handover delays, and an ACLMIH-FHPMIPv6 is designed that can provide an intelligent interface through introducing a hierarchical mobility management technique in FPMIPv6 integrated network.

  • This study focuses on investigating and exploring solutions to problems related to the increase in the elderly population in modern society where aging is rapidly progressing. With the advent of an aging society the elderly population requires more attention and support. In response companies are attempting to provide elder care services using AI and robotic technology. These services can assist seniors not only with health management and daily life care but also with emotional health aspects. This paper analyzes various elder-related technologies available in the current market investigates their pros and cons and potential for development. The paper concludes that companies need to develop and provide more AI and robot-based elder care services to solve aging problems. Such services can alleviate social and emotional issues in an aging society enhancing the quality of life for seniors.

  • A virtual influencer is a digital artifact that primarily operates on social media and acts like the human influencer. This study investigate how the attractiveness and reputation of virtual influencers affect consumers' purchase intentions. Based on previous studies, we developed a research model and questionnaire, and analyzed a total of 371 survey questionnaires using a structural equation model. The study results show that reputation positively affect attachment, imitation desire, and interaction, while attractiveness positively influence attachment and imitation desire but not interaction. Lastly, purchase intention was positively influenced by imitation desire, attachment, and interaction; which indicates that attractiveness, reputation, and interactivity are crucial factors in virtual influencer implementation strategies. The quality and reliability of contents provided by virtual influencers are essential not only for gaining popularity but also for maintaining a good reputation. Additionally, continuous interaction is necessary in order to foster close relationships with consumers. A few practical insights are presented for firms considering to implement a virtual influencer.

  • This study explores the usability of extended reality (XR) content tailored for production process training, with a focus on user experience. Participants engaged with extended reality training modules, and qualitative data was subsequently collected through interviews. These interviews evaluated the hardware, user interface, and overall user satisfaction. The analysis utilized python packages for keyword extraction and word cloud visualization, offering insights into user perceptions. The findings revealed that although the hardware was deemed comfortable, concerns were raised regarding its weight and heat emission. The interactive interface, which relies on hand tracking, encountered issues with recognition rates, leading to suggestions for alternative input methods. Users acknowledged extended reality's potential impact on industries like healthcare and education, sharing both positive and negative views on the technology. This research enhances our understanding of user responses and guides the future enhancement of extended reality content for industrial applications, aiming to improve its quality and practical usability

  • With the explosive growth of information in our real life, information filtering is quickly becoming a popular technique for reducing information overload. Information filtering technique is divided into two categories: content-based filtering and collaborative filtering (or social filtering). Content-based filtering selects the information based on contents; while collaborative filtering combines the opinions of other persons to make a prediction for the target user. In this paper, we describe a new filtering approach that seamlessly combines content-based filtering and collaborative filtering to take advantages from both of them, where a technique using user profiles efficiently on the collaborative filtering framework is introduced to predict a user's preference. The proposed approach is experimentally evaluated and compared to conventional filtering. Our experiments showed that the proposed approach not only achieved significant improvement in prediction quality, but also dealt with new users well.
