In these days, most of Korean industries advocates and utilizes Six Sigma as an integrated innovation tool for all their business and manufacturing processes. Six Sigma is known to bring more financial and managerial achievements than other innovation methods and tools. However, such successes are not always guaranteed. To adopt and implement Six Sigma successfully, it is necessary to grasp and understand essential characteristics of Six Sigma and then identify suitable elements and complements in consideration of vision, strategies, capability, circumstance and environment of the company. Step by step implementation plan may be built based on those ingredients. This study is to find out key ingredients (KIs) of Six Sigma. Potential ingredients selected from previous studies of success factors and ingredients of Six Sigma and TQM, and criteria of quality awards like MBNQA, EFQM, Deming prize and Korean National Quality Awards (KNQA) are classified into 11 categories based on experts' opinion and affinity analysis: management leadership, belt system, training, six sigma system, compensation, organization, corporate culture, customer focused, project selection, management of project results, and managerial achievements. Irrelevant or ineffective potential ingredients are discarded using factor analysis for the questionnaires answered by champions, MBB's and BB's of 90 Korean companies that have more than 3 years experience of Six Sigma. Also from the factor analysis, 3 factors are derived for each categories respectively except the managerial achievement category. Those 11 categories and 30 factors are defined as KIs of Six Sigma. This study also reveals that there is difference according to enterprise size, type of business, and implementation time in terms of KI's, and prioritizes KI's that an enterprise to pursue Six Sigma successfully should consider according to its characteristics.

Background: The ongoing economic crisis in Greece has affected both stress and quality of life (QoL) at all socioeconomic levels, including professionals in the police force. The aim of this study was to examine perceived stress, job satisfaction, QoL, and their relationships in a sample of police officers in Greece. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted during the first trimester of 2011 in 23 police stations in the greater Athens area. A total of 201 police officers agreed to participate (response rate 44.6%). The General Health Questionnaire-28 (GHQ-28) was used to assess general health, and the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF Questionnaire and Perceived Stress Scale-14 (PSS-14) questionnaires were used to assess QoL and perceived stress, respectively. Results: The PSS and GHQ subscales and total scores exhibited strong, positive, and significant correlations coefficients (r): 0.52 for somatic disturbances, 0.56 for stress and insomnia, 0.40 for social dysfunction, and 0.37 for depression, yielding an r equal to 0.57 for the total GHQ score. A higher level of perceived stress was related to a lower likelihood of being satisfied with their job; in this regard, male participants and higher ranked officers reported lower job satisfaction. The PSS and GHQ scores were inversely, consistently, and significantly related to almost all of the QoL aspects, explaining up to 34% of their variability. Parenthood had a positive effect on QoL related to physical health, and women reported lower QoL related to psychological health. Conclusion: Higher levels of stress are related to an increased risk of reporting suboptimal job satisfaction and QoL. The magnitude of these associations varied depending on age, gender, and rank, highlighting the need for stress-management training.

Innovation is considered as an implemented innovation in education - in the content, methods, techniques and forms of educational activity and personality education (methods, technologies), in the content and forms of organizing the management of the educational system, as well as in the organizational structure of educational institutions, in the means of training and education and in approaches to social services in education, distance and multimedia learning, which significantly increases the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process. The classification of currently known pedagogical technologies that are most often used in practice is shown. The basis of the innovative activity of a modern teacher is the formation of an innovative program-methodical complex in the discipline. Along with programmatic and content provision of disciplines, the use of informational tools and their didactic properties comes first. It combines technical capabilities - computer and video technology with live communication between the lecturer and the audience. In pedagogical innovation, the principles reflecting specific laws and regularities of the implementation of innovative processes are singled out. All principles are elements of a complex system of organization and management of innovative activities in the field of education and training. They closely interact with each other, which enhances the effect of each of them due to the synergistic effect. To improve innovative activities in the training of students, today computer technologies are widely used in pedagogy as a science, as well as directly in the practice of the pedagogical process. They have gained the most popularity in such activities as distance learning, online learning, assistance in the education management system, development of programs and virtual textbooks in various subjects, searching for information on the network for the educational process, computer testing of students' knowledge, creation of electronic libraries, formation of a unified scientific electronic environment, publication of virtual magazines and newspapers on pedagogical topics, teleconferences, expansion of international cooperation in the field of Internet education. The article considers computer technologies as the main building material for the entire society. In the modern world, there is a need to prepare a person for life in a multimedia environment. This process should be started as early as possible, because the child's contact with the media is present almost from the moment of his birth.
Purpose: More than 60% of patients with advanced cancer experience pain, and uncontrolled pain reduces the quality of life. Nurses are the closest healthcare providers to the patient and are suitable for managing cancer pain using pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. This study aimed to identify factors affecting the performance of cancer pain management among nurses. Methods: This study was conducted among 155 participating nurses working at a tertiary hospital who had experience with cancer pain management. Data collection was performed between October 18, 2021 and October 25, 2021. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, the independent-sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: There were 110 subjects (71.0%) who had no experience of cancer pain management education. The results of regression analysis indicated that barriers included medical staff, patients, and the hospital system for cancer pain management (𝛽=0.28, P<0.001). The performance of cancer pain management was also affected by experience of cancer pain management training (𝛽=0.22, P=0.007), and cancer pain management knowledge (𝛽=0.21, P=0.006). The explanatory power of the variable was 16.6%. Conclusion: It is crucial to assess system-related obstacles, as well as patients and medical staff, in order to improve nurses' cancer pain management performance. A systematic approach incorporating multidisciplinary interventions from interprofessional teams is required for effective pain management. Furthermore, pain management education is required both for cancer ward nurses and nurses in other wards.
Legislation on pharmaceutical reimbursement decision using economic evaluation results was made in Korea in fm, but has yet to be fully implemented. We evaluated the quality of Korean economic evaluation studies of pharmaceuticals to understand gaps between legislation and implementation. From this evaluation, we propose policy options that might strengthen the research Infrastructure In order to support such studies. We reviewed 23 published studies for drugs conducted between 1996 and 2004. Evaluation criteria included methodological characteristics, healthcare system characteristics, population characteristics, and applicability of results. Large variation in study quality was observed, particularly with study design, outcome data, treatment patterns and interpretation. Korean clinical data used was mostly from observational studies of 1-2 hospitals. Foreign data was extracted from clinical trials that did not Include Asian population and their selection criterion was not clarified. With respect to treatment patterns, medical records and hospital bills were used without adjustment regarding area, hospital type, and others. And next frequent situation relied on expert opinion from academic physicians in specialty practice. preference measures, when used, were not elicited from the Korean population. $78.3\%$ of studies did not clarify the funding source. If the Korean economic evaluation policy is to provide meaningful data for decision makers, the quality of cost-effectiveness studies will need to improve dramatically. This may involve access to or creation of better data, more diverse funding, unproved training of researchers and evaluators, and partnerships with technology manufacturers.

Recently, research on license plate recognition, which is a core technology of an intelligent transportation system(ITS), is being actively conducted. In this paper, we propose a method to extract numbers and characters from low-quality license plate images by applying the YOLOv4 algorithm. YOLOv4 is a one-stage object detection method using convolution neural network including BACKBONE, NECK, and HEAD parts. It is a method of detecting objects in real time rather than the previous two-stage object detection method such as the faster R-CNN. In this paper, we studied a method to directly extract number and character regions from low-quality license plate images without additional edge detection and image segmentation processes. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed method we experimented with 500 license plate images. In this experiment, 350 images were used for training and the remaining 150 images were used for the testing process. Computer simulations show that the mean average precision of detecting number and character regions on vehicle license plates was about 93.8%.
The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the sanitary management status of chlorine sterilization methods used for raw fruits in a school foodservice, and to suggest basic data for sanitary improvements in the quality of raw fruits. A questionnaire form predicated on HACCP standards was developed and utilized for self-reported evaluations of dietitians regarding their sanitary management practices. The subjects consisted of 257 dietitians that were employed in school (elementary middle high school) foodservices. The collected data were analyzed with the SAS package. According to the results of this study, it was deemed necessary that optimized sterilization and washing methods for good microbiological safety and quality of strawberries and bananas in school foodservice should be determined. Some strategies for future improvement were also suggested. They included the following: (1) Improvement of policy for assuring the quality of raw fruits by designing some sanitation standards and specifications for raw fruits; (2) Strengthening the research and accumulation of background data regarding methods for the sanitation of raw fruits; (3) Enforced improvement of personal hygiene for dietitians and employees; (4) Use of a variety of methods in sanitary education and employee training.
Purpose: This study aimed to derive detailed insights into emergency medical technicians' (EMTs) perceptions regarding continuing education. Methods: We conducted a descriptive survey. The interview participants were 20 EMTs, divided into four groups: six Fire Department EMTs, five Hospital EMTs, five Clinical EMTs (excluding the ER and Fire Department), and four Non-Clinical EMTs. Data were collected through focus group interviews (FGIs) and semistructured questionnaires. The interview periods were March 25, 2022, and March 27, 2022. Results: Continuing education was primarily field-oriented, leading to lower satisfaction among non-field EMTs. To enhance satisfaction, training should be tailored to the specific roles and experiences of the EMTs. Additionally, quality management of lectures, instructor selection, and video quality require reconsideration. Key factors that enhance satisfaction include a wider variety of courses, up-to-date information, and relevant course content, regardless of job role or experience. Conclusion: Incorporating feedback into EMTs' perceptions of continuing education can lead to the development of more effective curricula and improved quality management. This approach is expected to enhance both educational satisfaction and job performance.

This paper is brought to asses the training effect of KS-QFD boot camp for the companies in the early growth stage. In particular, the focus of research falls on measuring transfer intension of the participants from the early stage companies older than three years old, motivating effect of applying knowledges acquired from KS-QFD training camp into their real business case. KS-QFD program is presented to help company in the early stage companies over three years old of boosting up their sales volume more than 5 times than now for the next 18 months by this training. The training program of KS-QFD is ultimately to design more practical and helpful program to real business and spread out. The research establish model by setting the learner readiness and perceived content validity by doing training design as independent variables, self-efficacy of learner as mediating variable, and transfer intension as dependant variable. Research results shows the following outcomes. First, learner readiness does not have directly effect on transfer intension under keeping statistical significance. But as the parameter of self-efficacy, it has perfect mediating effect. Second, research proves that perceived content validity have directly impact on learning transfer intension of mediating by self-efficacy partially. This research contributes on proving that learning by doing KS-QFD boot camp enable the participants to build up their self-efficacy and lead to enhance transfer intension. In more steps, the research validates that KS-QFD training camp have delivered very practical and helpful on-site knowledge to the participants.
