Effect of a Complex Leg Exercise Program for Hemodialysis Patients with Restless Legs Syndrome (하지불안증후군을 경험하는 혈액투석 환자를 위한 하지복합운동 프로그램 적용 효과)

  • Purpose: This experimental study with nonequivalent control group and pre/post-tests aims to investigate the effects of a complex leg exercise program on severity of restless legs syndrome, sleep quality, depression, and physical performance in patients with maintenance hemodialysis. Methods: Patients in the experimental group were provided with the leg exercise program three times a week for eight weeks, a total of 24times, through watching videos during hemodialysis from August 1, 2017 to October 25. The experimental group and control group consisted of 22 people each. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, χ2 test, Fisher's exact test, and independent t-test utilizing SPSS/WIN 22.0. Results: After providing with the leg exercise program, these were level of restless legs syndrome and depression were significantly decreased in the experimental group (t=2.79, p=.032; t=0.53, p=.036, respectively). However, sleep quality and physical performance did not have significant difference between the two groups (t=0.02, p=.947; t=1.74, p=.957, respectively). Conclusion: A complex leg exercise program appears to be beneficial in improving restless legs syndrome and depression in maintenance hemodialysis patients with restless legs syndrome.

  • As infrastructures are being deteriorated, nondestructive evaluation of existing structures and construction quality control are increasingly demanded. The importance of predicting compressive strength of concrete structure is also gradually increasing in construction industry. The estimation of concrete compressive strength is a critical factor of the construction management and quality control. This study has been conducted using Schmidt hammer test and Impact echo method, which are nondestructive test methods for the comparison of the concrete compressive strength. It is focusing to examine the relationship between compressive strength of concrete and rebound number by Schmidt hammer test result by Impact echo method. It was found that concrete compressive strength and rebound number have a close correlation.

  • Repairing concrete structures depended on only technician' experience without quality test standards would have problems. For solving those problems, this paper has analyzed the relations between injection quantify and crack width, injection time and crack width, injection pressure and crack width, injection pressure/time and crack width, injection quantity and structure size, injection quantify and individual crack Position, injection time and crack width/structure thickness. The data gained from this analysis would be helpful for systematic quality control of repairing concrete structures.

  • This study reflects our conviction that the maintenance of the landscape plants in apartment housing areas has appeared as an important factor. The defects ratio of the landscape plants shows high in the study, which tells us a serious situation were facing in consideration of the quality of residential Life. Methods for the effective maintenance of the landscape plants are recommended as follows; First, the landscape plants in apartment housing areas should be maintained by a specialist in landscape architecture. Second, the co-operative maintenance between inhabitants and specialists is required. Third, the over-all understanding of the landscape plants should be improved.

  • Since water leakage and cracks are not the source of serious problems such as long-term lowering of performance and durability of a stricture, including damages to operating facilities of a structure, damages to internal finishing materials, exhibition, and goods, and pollution of residential environment, they might have led to development of positive coping skills; however, an instant loss of lives or property due to earthquake, explosion, typhoon, or a fire was indeed neglected. In these days, repair materials for leakage cannot help but being taken in temporary way without any noticeable countermeasure. This kind of repair is socially criticized many times that is defective construction even if this costs a lot. It was not arrange the standard for construction methods of sealer of injection type for leakage maintenance, even it has been used various type of construction methods for leakage part. In conclusion, we suggest that the construction methods of sealer of injection type for leakage maintenance for leakage to establish the leakage repairing technology as increase of structure demand. Therefore, it would be possible to provide a stage-by-stage solution by developing systematic research activities among the industry, schools, and research institutes to spread maintenance management techniques globally through technical solution to water leakage and cracks, acquisition of structural safety with prolonged durability for life cycle, reduction of water leakage repair expense s, and so on.

  • As time goes by, educational facilities have become superannuated and damaged; therefore, performance and safety of buildings have been decreased. It causes the decrease of service quality and deterioration of educational environment. In order to protect facilities from serious damages and deterioration, a consistent maintenance and repair program is required. The educational facilities can keep the good educational environments and also make better environments through the program. This study is made by investigating and analyzing the maintenance data which was collected from fifty schools in Asan area, Chungchengnam-do in order to derive foundation data for the efficient educational environment maintenance program.

  • In farming area, the elderly population is increasing year after year. And the gap between farming area and the city regarding quality of life is getting bigger and bigger. Besides, it has much poorer ground for living than the city. The current farming village maintenance project is adopting a different system now from the top-down project exclusively led by the government in the past to the bottom-up one reflecting how the residents think positively. Lack of the residents' understanding and education about the maintenance project, however, some of them are just focused on maintenance and development distorted from making a village where people want to live. Accordingly, this study will analyze the characteristics of farming villages by their types based on field research and spatial analysis using Space Syntax in order to develop more premeditated and effective maintenance plans to perform maintenance in farming area. As a result, When you install streetlights street lights should be installed at places with a high of Connectivity and spatial depth is deep. Based on this method, the research is going to suggest the current status of street furniture improvement in the villages and the proper positions for their future installation.

A Study on the Repair Method for Performance Degradation Cause of Korean Arch Bridge -Focused on the Seonamsa Seungseonggyo, Songgwangsa Geukrockgyo- (홍예교 성능저하 원인에 따른 보수방안 고찰 - 선암사 승선교·송광사 극락교를 중심으로 -)

  • This study considers the proper repair techniques by examining the most representative repair cases of the Korean arch bridges and proposes the constructional manual which can apply similar occasions. The cases are Seonamsa Seungseongyo and Songgwangsa Geukrockgyo where this researcher had taken part in the repair works. This Study proposes the maintenance construction manual about the performance degradation drew by performance degradation of the both Korean arch bridges in the maintenance process. First, arch bridge maintenance should be carried out in the dry season, when water is impermeable in the bottom surface of the bridge. Moreover, risk factors of the maintenance should be excluded to secure the water vally flow, the bypass and the temporary bridge. Second, prior to repair, it has to precede (1)3D shooting (2)formal examination (3)structure safety test (4)geological and lithic surveys (5)arch curvature establishment and makeshift frame settlement before transformation (6)relationship expert comments. Third, if the baduk and the foundation stones are inevitable to replace due to performance degradation on the foundation, it should use the high quality stones and secure greater stress by extending the standard range. The foundation on irregular rock needs to be flattened and underside on the replaced materials require Grengyijil to deliver the equal loads. Fourth, In the process of dismantling the stones of the arched bridge, it could make heavy weathering degree and not reuse the materials. Charge should converge the expert advices to choose the reuseable, the conservate and the alternative materials, and increase the reutilization of the raw materials by preservation and reinforcement treatments. Fifth, the side wall should be repaired by the rubble work technique which is not able to pile compost satiety, so it must use long depth of masonary stones for reinforcement. It is considered to reinforce the stone wall in shore as much as possible and protect the abutment and the side wall on the upstream for the arch bridge maintenance works.

  • Seoul, although having a housing stock as huge as that of world metropolitan cities, have implemented growth-oriented policies by constructing new housing units rather than using or rehabilitating existing ones. There were, therefore, few political efforts to preserve and rehabilitate multiple dwellings. Today, substantial time has passed since multiple dwellings in Seoul and the first-stage new cities such as Bundang and Ilsan were constructed. What is required to maintain the quality of the existing housing and use it with safety is loan, subsidy and tax incentive programs which are able to promote the maintenance of existing multiple dwellings. The objective of this study is to compare and analyze the maintenance systems of financial assistance(the loan, subsidy and tax incentive programs)of the world's largest cities with various housing types, I e New York and Tokyo, and then to propose to Seoul a framework for the maintenance systems.

  • Through this study, the following proposals were made to secure the operability of local governments' records management systems (RMSs). First, for the stable operation and maintenance of RMS, establishing a noninterruptible system with regular operation support is necessary. Second, improving the maintenance quality above a certain level by establishing an integrated RMS maintenance system is imperative. Third, systematically managing the RMS infrastructure compatibility list should be vital to provide clear standards for maintaining local governments' RMS structure.
