The quality of precision spindle units (S/Us) running on rolling bearings depends strongly on their structural parameters, such as the configuration and geometry of the S/U elements and bearing preloads. When S/Us are designed, their parameters should be optimized to improve the performance characteristics. However, it is practically impossible to state perfectly a general criterion function for S/U quality. Therefore, we propose to use a multicriteria optimization based on the parameter space investigation (PSI) method We demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method using the optimization results of high-speed S/Us.

This paper presents the investigation on the demand of domestic companies for reliability. For persons undertaking reliability tasks of 224 companies, the questionnaire study is made to investigate the importance and necessity of reliability, needs and priorities of reliability manuals, and the appropriate scheme to propagate them by internet and telephone. By analyzing the responses according to fields of industry, types of manufacturing, numbers of employees, and total sales, we obtained the useful informations for developing and propagating reliability manuals.

The small gear reductioner noise is caused by gear accuracy, assembling errors, and gear backlash. This main study is an investigation on noise quality of the small gear reductioner through the change of gear backlash. In this study included Gear design parameters related the small gear reductioner, the knowledge of rattle noise related gear backlash, and the experimentation results of the small reductioner noise through change of gear backlash. At last, this study propose the least method of the small gear reductioner noise that is caused by suitable existence of gear backlash.

Purpose : This study is to identify the aftermath of hysterectomy in the treatment of a uterine disease. Methods : We collected treatises on the aftermath of hysterectomy and analyzed those. Those treatise had relation to change in ano-rectal function, ovarian function, change of serum sex hormone levels, bone mineral density, quality of life and so on. Results : After the treatises on the aftermath of hysterectomy, common symptoms after hysterectomy were general weakness, loss of taste, sweating, abdominal pain, dysuria, vaginal bleeding, weight loss, emptyness on lower abdomen and pains on operation. Conclusion : The result of this study suggest the aftermath of hysterectomy in the treatment of a uterine disease. In conclusion, our result support the importance of earlier prediction and a proper management plan to improve the quality of life in women.

Concrete is still one most common construction materials even in railway structures. As structures become massive and mega-sized, the importance of early age concrete quality control becomes more significant. Among various factors, relative humidity and temperature are the primary factors governing the early age quality. Temperature raise due to cement hydration causes stress, which can develop to cracking with internal and/or external restraints. Exposure conditions including ambient temperature, humidity and wind also significantly affect the cracking behavior of early age concrete. Among many of studies on the early age concrete behavior, investigation on the variation of temperature and relative humidity internal of concrete is not common. That is in part because the difficulties in measuring the relative humidity and temperature inside the concrete. This study used a digital sensor with an appropriate logger to measure internal temperature and relative humidity. This direct measuring method is expected to provide more reliable and comprehensive data acquisition on the early age behavior of concrete.

Investigation of GaAs/AlGaAs QW carried out by using PL and Absorption spectroscopy. In order to get high resolution (0.76meV) and low noise, proper experimental system was set-up. From measurements, we have deduced the properties of GaAs/AlGaAs QW, such as the residual impurity, well thickness, crystal quality, interface abruptness and well thickness uniformity. Also we can obtain other properties such as sub-band absorption by using Absorption Spectroscopy.

The procedure of investigation and design of the soil contaminated with petroleum was introduced. Soil and water quality analyses were carried out to figure out the type of contaminants and the flume range according to the national regulation. In the investigation, it was verified that the soils in several dispersed locations were contaminated with petroleum. Therefore, in the design process, it was necessary to select a optimal remediation method after making the conception model of the site, and then the treatment method of incineration was selected.
