Purpose: This study analyzes the strategical priority to improve eco-labelling certification system, focused on biodegradable resin. Methods: This study will come up with measures to operate the eco-Label certification system related to biodegradable products more effectively and efficiently by discovering various problems related to the system, using causal loop diagram and AHP analysis. Results: This study shows that the government should play more important role while firms could also serve their roles in the initial and stabilizing stages of the eco-labelling certification system, in order to vitalize the eco-Label certification system more effective. Conclusion: This study addresses strategic eco-labelling policies on governmental and firm's operation and providers guidance to practitioners in addressing strategic decision relating to eco-labelling certification system.

The demand for safety certification of Light Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (LUAVs), weighing between 25kg and 150kg, is rapidly increasing in Korea. Unfortunately, the number of LUAV safety certification failures is also on the rise, with manufacturing quality issues being identified as the main culprit. However, there is a lack of quality system standards for manufacturers within the LUAV safety certification system. As a result, this paper aims to analyze the domestic safety certification system and the quality standards set by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). The goal is to establish quality system inspection standards specifically tailored for LUAV manufacturers. To achieve this, we propose additional inspection items that reflect the characteristics of the manufacturing quality system. These items will be identified through on-site inspections of LUAV manufacturers, ensuring that the resulting quality system standard aligns with the actual situation of domestic manufacturers. In order to gauge the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed quality system standard, we conducted a survey of seven domestic LUAV manufacturers.

Since 100PPM Qualify Certification System has been established by the Industrial Advancement Administration in 1995, 1000PPM Quality Innovation Movement has contributed much to the enhancement of quality competitiveness of Korea's parts industry. And in 2000, raised to a higher level, Single PPM Quality Certification System has been established by the Small and Medium Business Administration. Single PPM Qualify Innovation Movement seeks to reduce the number of defects to below 10 out of one million industrial items produced. Ultimately, Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement aims at achieving perfection, by enabling a zero defect rate in industrial production through the participation of all members of an organization. So this study aims to show the tangible and intangible effects of Single PPM Quality Certification System. and to suggest a methodology to improve current problems of Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement.

The objective of this paper is to analyze the effect of the defense quality certification system on the military user's dissatisfaction. In this paper, an empirical research is performed to compare the effectiveness of ISO 9000 : 2000 and Korea Defense Quality Certification system 0050-9000. The research result shows that (1) the Defense Quality system is better than ISO 9000 : 2000 to reduce the military user's dissatisfaction level. (2) the Quality Assurance types 4, 5 have more user's dissatisfaction than types 2, 3. (3) small and medium sized companies have more user's dissatisfaction than large companies.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how QS 9000 Certification might influence company and analyze the effectiveness. Recently most companies are enforced to adapt quality assurance system, such as ISO series, QS 9000 etc, from domestic or foreign certification institutes. Therefore it is very important for all the company to acquire QS 9000 certification. Three Big UㆍS automakers had developed the QS 9000 quality System for their suppliers to implement the ISO 9000 based quality system. To analysis the effects of QS 9000 Quality System for quality improvement of the suppliers data had been gathered on the certification activities through questionnaire and been analyzed by descriptive statistics.

Nowadays most companies are required to acquire the quality assurance system for their survival. It is essential to improvement company's competitive power that Certification of Quality Assurance System but there are many problems. To analysis the effects of ISO 9000 series/QS-9000 QA systems to the Domestic Company Quality Improvement as well as quality consciousness, data has been surveyed form quality assurance engineers who have work on certification activities. The data is analyzed using relevant tabulations of five scale or paired t test method in order to compare level of quality management of pre-certification with that of post-certification. It is analyzed in two parts which are qualitative effects and quality maturity grid. Also, to analysis for the bottlenecks and problems the data is analyzed using frequency analysis method.

Ever since the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) established the ISO 9000 Family standard in 1987, many countries have selected this as their national standard and have provided support for its implementation and conducted assessment activities on the results of its implementation. Likewise, certification assessment was first begun in Korea in 1994, with the result that over 7,600 certificates have been issued to domestic enterprises during the past 5 years or so. This is significant not only in the remarkable growth rate in terms of quantity but also in the fact that it has made possible the establishment of a quality system that meets international standards among Korean enterprises. In this article, it will briefly introduce the establishment and certification of the ISO quality system for those organizations that are complying with the quality system as a part of the process of strengthening their quality competitiveness. For those organizations that have already established the quality system and implemented it for years, we will show the direction for continuous quality improvement in order for these organizations not only to fulfill the requirements but to maintain the superiority of the quality system and their management quality. In addition, it will show what preparations are necessary for organizations and certification bodies in order to expand a manufacturing process-oriented quality system to one that is geared to the total management quality.

It is widely recognized that ISO 9000 certification bring some profits, such as enhancement of quality system and some concerns. Since one of the major concerns is cost for certification, this paper considers the cost for ISO 9000 certification in Japanese companies through review some winning reports and case studies. Specifically, a model that describes the certification activities and their cost is derived through reviewing some winning reports in order to give a framework of cost estimation. Based on the model, we estimate the certification cost in an electric division of a company through an interview survey. Furthermore, we focused on the cost for promotion and administration as a cost for the sake only certification, because these activities will not be needed if a company does not implement ISO certification. It is concluded that this cost may vary approximately 300,000-700,000 (US$) per certification by the interview and telephone surveys to Japanese steel companies.

This paper is related to the effect analysis of certification of ISO 9000 Quality Management System. We collect and analyze the field data of certification costs and profit from companies that are located at southeast area in Korea. The effect analysis is based on the type and scale of companies. We use defective rate and inventory turnover rate as the criterion of positive effect after certification. As a result, we may conclude that the certification of ISO Quality Management System gives companies positive effects.

This study was conducted to provide sustainable measures for conservation and management to protect valuable natural/ecological resources, offer differentiated quality assurance services for eco-tourism products, and explore measures for eco-tourism certification/designation systems. To achieve its goals, the study discussed domestic and overseas trends and literatures that concern eco-tourism certification/designation system and investigated case studies that were presently operational. A group of experts and a group of non-experts were surveyed separatedly to investigate the awareness of the national eco-tourism certification/designation system. The results from the investigation indicate that Europe, since the late 1990s to early 2000, has actively introduced a system that establishes and operates a dedicated institution, and European members have created a cooperation framework to formulate international partnerships and develop standardized assessment benchmarks to adhere to the goals of the system, the period for certification was designated from one year to five years, and renewals were granted based on periodic monitoring and reassessment. In Korea, from early 2000, the Ministry of Culture, Sorts and Tourism and other organizations have certified product quality and assessed travel products and national park tour programs. The certification period was established to be set between one and three years, and the vast majority were not reassessed. Upon investigating the results for awareness of national eco-tourism certification/designation system, a high number of respondents agreed with the need to establish a eco-tourism certification/designation system (90% of respondents), and the respondents cited eco-tourism quality assurance, conservation of value, means to maintain established institutions, and environmental education and information as reasons for needing a certification/designation system. In Korea, a certification/designation system for the eco-tourism industry is presently in operation, but the system regulates target institutions based on their characteristics. Therefore, this study proposes its suggestions via various categories, including designated institutions, designated purpose, designated subjects, designated organization, laws, regulations, and incentives.
