  • This study aims to investigate how the mentoring program affects married immigrant women and their mentors. The mentoring program as a man-to-man program was conducted in 2009 and provided married immigrant women with an agricultural education program. This study used a case study as a research method and collected data using interviews and observations. Participants were selected according to Patton's (2002) purposeful sampling strategies, and the results of data analysis were evaluated by the method of Evaluation Checklist. In order to increase the internal validity of the study, this study used both triangulation and peer examination. By including the diverse aspects of the mentoring program, this study shows that each case has special characteristics according to the situations of married immigrant women and their mentors. As a result, this qualitative research project provided the detailed picture of the mentoring program by specifically describing how married immigrant women had a relationship with their mentors.

  • In the previous e-government studies, there was no study in which the ambitious problem of assessing the expected performance of an e-government software when it is adopted in other country. This study was motivated to propose a new method to resolve this research question. With using the KIPONet (Korean Intellectual Property Office Net) as a target e-government software, which has been successfully implemented and operated by the Republic of Korea government since Jan 1999 for the purpose of managing the intellectual property rights (IPRs), we propose a Hybrid Qualitative Reasoning (HQR) approach to predicting the expected performance of the KIPONet. The main recipes of the HQR are that the HQR considers causal relationships existing among both qualitative and quantitative variables of the KIPONet, and that uncertainties embedded in some variables are handled by using Monte Carlo mechanism. The application of the proposed HQR to predicting the expected performance of the KIPONet results in statistically significant outcomes with 95% confidence level.

  • Entrance floor in hospital has became important space for medical service in holistic perspective and image enhancement. However, basically a discussion of the qualitative properties and the role of public space is paucity in change of public spaces paradigm. In accordance with this problem, this study consider the change of paradigm in public space based on earlier studies and create classification criterion of space. According to the criterion, G/D ratio and the qualitative spatial area ratio of 26 general hospitals which were planned over 500 beds are analyzed by case study method. The conclusion of this study is as follows. 1) The space according to the medical function is variable element. So the public space should be planned from function-subordinate space to self-reliance space in the future. 2) There is no correlation between the high G/D ratio and the high ratio of qualitative spacial area. In other word It's hard to say that the public space which G/D ratio is high is qualitative space. 3) Since 2000, various types in accordance with the circulation system is applied to public space. And ratio of qualitative spacial area is relatively high in the street type and the concourse type. 4) The qualitative spatial area ratio of stay space is higher than passage's one.

  • This study is to evaluate on the increased cost of construction according to the depth change of concrete slabs in apartment building. When we increased the depth of concrete slab from 150mm to 180, 210mm, the qualitative and cost of construction were calculated by the high-rise type, the unit-size type. As a result of this study, in 32 Pyong type, increment of construction cost rate appeared by $5.1\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 180mm, and $10.0\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 210mm. In 45 Pyong type, Increment of construction cost rate appeared by $5.7\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 180mm, and $10.2\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 210mm. In 55 Pyong type, Increment of construction cost rate appeared by $2.4\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 180mm, and $8.9\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 210mm.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to explore the perception of medical aid beneficiaries on their experiences of receiving case management. Methods: Data were collected through in-depth interviews with sixteen medical aid beneficiaries who had been receiving medical aid case management from at least one year ago. The data were analyzed using the NVivo software program for its qualitative content analysis. Results: Three categories emerged from the data: "not perceived but come into my territory", "realized the necessity of changes and begin to take care of my own health", and "satisfied passively with some of my changes." With respect to these categories, eight sub-categories were ultimately identified. Conclusion: It would be effective if both medical aid beneficiaries and case managers can set the case management goals and management plans together at the beginning of case management. It is also needed to develop a comprehensive case management model tailored to the characteristics and needs of the beneficiaries.

Therefore, we aimed to investigate the factors that can help overcome suicidal tendencies in late adolescents from the perspective of case managers. Methods: This qualitative study explored the reinforcing factors that can help overcome suicidal behaviors in late adolescents, by conducting focus group interviews with case managers from the local community. Interviews with 10 case managers were recorded and transcribed, and the data were analyzed using the content analysis method. Results: The main theme of this study was "a step in a new direction". Three categories were derived: "inner changes", "another possibility opened up by the interest of significant others", and "connecting with community resources to help overcome". Each category had subcategories that influenced the intention and course of action of behaviors to overcome the suicide crises. Conclusion: Our findings, from the exploration of the experiences of case managers, provide an in-depth understanding of the reinforcing factors for overcoming suicide among late adolescents. They provide useful preliminary data for the development of effective suicide prevention programs for the adolescents.
