Analytical Study on Home Port Conditions of Cruise Port in Jeju Area through Multi-purpose Variable Model -Through comparative analysis of main ports in Korea·China·Japan- (다목적 가변 모형을 통한 제주지역 크루즈항구의 모항여건 분석에 관한연구 -한·중·일 주요항만비교를 통한-)

  • This study aims to compare Jeju Island, Shanghai, and Yokohama cruise ports and to investigate the relative strengths and weaknesses of Jeju Island. This study conducted comparative evaluation of 8 factors [airport, berth, expenses, distance, access to town, shopping facilities, source market (background market), and tourism] through a cruise network analysis. Comparative evaluation results find that Jeju Island, which secured 2 berths (berthing capacity) by completion of the civil-military complex port, has ascendancy over Shanghai cruise port and will have ascendancy over Yokohama cruise port once construction of the new airport is completed. Therefore, it will qualify as the best cruise port in Northeast Asia in the future. Results obtained from the cruise network analysis provide insights for administrative policy. Study limitations include only eight factors are used for evaluating the cruise-ship harbor area and surrounding hinterlands, and thus cannot sufficiently evaluate the complex conditions of the sites. In the future, it is necessary to reexamine the evaluation factors of the cruise ship harbor in detail. Furthermore, future research will need to consider the economic effects of the cruise ship industry, and its relevance to related industries as a possible fusion or hybrid industry.

Factors Influencing Health-related Quality of Life in Patients with Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (관상동맥우회술 대상자의 건강관련 삶의 질 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships among the social support, depression, and health-related quality of life and the factors affecting the health-related quality of life in patients with coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). The subjects consisted of 134 patients who had received CABG from S general hospitals in Seoul, Korea, and the results were analyzed using the SPSS Win 21.0 program. The physical component summary (PCS) was significantly different depending on the age (F=4.616, p=.004), gender (t=3.657, p<.001), education (F=7.688, p=.001), current job (t=-4.363, p<.001), spouse (t=-3.065, p=.003), and underlying disease (F=3.078, p=.030) of the subjects. There were differences in the scores for the mental component summary (MCS) according to their gender (t=2.243, p=.027) and monthly income (F=2.821, p=.041). A significant negative correlation was found between social support and depression (r=-.415, p<.001). Social support had a statistically significant positive correlation with the MCS (r=.261, p=.002). Significant negative correlations were found between depression and the PCS (r=-.459, p<.001) and MCS (r=-.554, p<.001). The depression and underlying disease accounted for 36.7% of the variance in the PCS. The depression accounted for 34.1% of the variance in the MCS. Based on these results, nurses should develop nursing intervention programs for patients who have undergone CABG which take into consideration their depression.

Effective Compression of the Surveillance Video with Region of Interest (관심영역 구분을 통한 감시영상시스템의 효율적 압축)

  • In surveillance video system, there are many classes of images and some spatial regions are more important than other regions. The conventional compression method in this system have been compressed there full frames without classfying them depend on their important parts. To improve the accuracy of the image coding and deliver effective compression for the surveillance video system, it was necessary to separate the regions according to their importance. In this paper, we propose a new effective surveillance video image compression method. The proposed scheme defines importance based three-level region of interest block in a frame, such as background, motion object block, and the feature object block. A captured video image frame can be separated to these three different levels of block regions. And depends on the priority, each block can be modified and compressed in different resolution, compression ratio and qualify factor. Therefore, in surveillance video system, this algorithm not only reduces the image processing time and space, but also guarantees the Important image data in high quality to acquire the system's goal.

  • Six sigma is the rating that signifies "best in clas", with only 3.4 defects per million units or operations. Higher sigma quality level is generally perceived by customers as improved performance by assigning a correspondingly higher satisfaction score. The process capability indices and the sigma level $Z_{st}$ have been widely used in six sigma industries to assess process performance. Most evaluations on process capability indices focus on point estimates, which may result in unreliable assessments of process performance. In this paper, we consider statistical inference for process capability indices $C_p$, $C_{pk}$ and $C_{pm}$. Also, we study better testing procedure on assessing sigma level $Z_{st}$ and capability index $C_{pm}$, for practitioners to use in determining whether a given process is capable. The proposed method is easy to use and the decision making is more reliable. Whether a process is clearly normal or nonnormal, our bootstrap testing procedure could be applied effectively without the complexity of calculation. A numerical result based on our proposed method is illustrated.

산란계 육성기 계란급이가 초기 산란 특징에 미치는 영향

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of restricted feeding to pullet on growth and laying Performance, egg qualify and endocrine Profile in brown layers. 1,080 brown-layer chicks divided to three diet treatments, conventional diet and two restricted diets, for 70 weeks. Conventional diets(C) was formulated by NRC recommendation, and one of restricted diet started from seven to seventeen week of age(T1), and another started from twelve to seventeen(T2) with adjusted eighty percentage amount of conventional diet. Body weight decreased with starting restriction of feeding comparing to the C(P<0.05), but reached to similar weight in all treatments at twenty week regardless restriction. All of birds started to lay egg around 1,400 to 1,450gram of body weight though the age was in order of C, T2 and T1. Overall e99 Production was the highest in T1 (P<0.05) and there were not difference in C and T2. Average egg weight also showed similar to the tendency of egg production. Feed intake was higher in T1 during maximum production(P<0.05), but there were not difference in all treatments after the peak. Overall feed conversion ratio improved in T1 compared to C and T1(p<0.05). Restriction feeding in rearing period could be beneficial to improve egg productivity and to decrease feed cost.

Effects of Feeding Aspergillus oryzae Inoculant Food-waste Diets on Performance and Egg Quality in Laying Hens (Aspergillus oryzae 접종 잔반사료가 산란계의 생산성과 계란의 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effect of dried food-waste diets (FW) fermented by Aspergillus oryzae (AEW), on egg Production and egg qualify in laying hens. One hundred sixty eight laying hens, 50 week old, ISA-Brown wtrain were randomly distributed into 7 treatments with 3 relpicates of 8 birds per replicate and fed with standards laying hen diet replaced with FW and AFW at die=rent level Basal Diet, 25, 10, $75\%$, respectively. There was a significant decrease in feed intake for FW $50\%$ diet and egg Production was statistically lower in all W diet treatments(p<0.05). Water consumption was increased as the replacement increased. Egg weight, egg shell thickness and strength were similar among treatments. However, egg yolk color and Haugh unit showed distinct differences when W were added to their diets(p<0.05). No difference was observed in egg yolk cholesterol. It seems that FW diet could decrease the egg Production, but would be able to improve egg Quality. From this results, AO seemed applicable to laying hen diet as supplements.

  • There is no doubt that the national competitiveness, in 21st century, definitely depends on how effectively it has been producing high-qualify human resources. It is inevitable that we are required to produce outstanding people who are going to make the use of highly developed scientific technology. Every country has already set to concentrate their all efforts in cultivating competitive human resources, enabling it to strengthen its national competitiveness. We Korea, in order to keep up with it, have arranged legal and systematic basis and are putting spurs to producing competent human resources under the 영재교육진흥법 및 시행령, which took effect from March, 2002. With the lack of experience and short history of Gifted Education, however, it is true that we still have many problems in promoting it in reality, We are asked to improve it by finding out what problems we have in whole area of Gifted Education, such as defining conception, choosing target students, structuring system and managing students afterwards. Therefore, this study, especially focusing on Math of Gifted Education is to investigate the present situation of Gifted Education and to examine what we should do for administering Gifted Education in effective ways.

An Efficient Load-Balancing Algorithm based on Bandwidth Reservation Scheme in Wireless Multimedia Networks (무선 멀티미디어 망에서 대역폭 예약을 이용한 효율적인 부하 균형 알고리즘)

  • For multimedia traffics to be supported successfully in wireless network environment, it is necessary to provide Qualify-of-Service(QoS) guarantees among mobile hosts(clients). In order to guarantee the QoS, we have to keep the call blocking probability below a target value during hand-off session. However, the QoS negotiated between the client and the network may not be guaranteed due to lack of available channels for traffic of a new cell, since on service mobile clients should be able to continue their sessions. In this paper, we propose an efficient load-balancing algorithm based on the adaptive bandwidth reservation scheme for enlarging available channels in a cell. Proposed algorithm predicts the direction of clients in a cell and adjusts the amount of the channel to be reserved according to the load status of the cell. This method is used to reserve a part of bandwidths of a cell for hand-off calls to its adjacent cells and this reserved bandwidth can be used for hand-off call prior to new connection requests. If the number of free channels is also under a low threshold value, our scheme use a load-balancing algorithm with an adaptive bandwidth reservation. In order to evaluate the performance of our algorithm, we measure metrics such as the blocking probability of new calls and dropping probability of hand-off calls, and compare with those of existing schemes.

Development of Yeast Leavened Pan Bread Using Commercial Doenjangs(Korean Soybean Paste): 2. Correlation between Factors Relating with Dough Extensibility and Bread Quality in Addition of Doenjang (시판 된장을 이용한 식빵 제조: 2. 된장 첨가에 따른 반죽 신장성 관련인자와 빵품질 특성과의 상관성 조사)

  • This study was carried out to examine the effect of added Doenjang on wheat flour dough and gluten rheological properties using Micro-extensigraph method and correlation between factors relating with Doenjang or dough rheology and bread Quality. There were big differences in pretense activity and free amino acid contents among seven commercial Doenjangs. The addition of Doenjang to wheat flour dough required increased mixing time for gluten development. Dry gluten content increased significantly with addition of less than 5.0% of Doenjang powder. As the amount of Doenjang powder increased, dough peak force decreased and extensibility increased up to a certain level an then decreased, producing the weak dough. This phenomena was seen more obviously in wet gluten than wheat flour dough. Especially, the Doeniang having high pretense activity and high cystein content, caused highly extensible weak dough resulting in bread with high loaf volume and tender texture at the levels of 2.5% added Doenjang. Increase of dry gluten content and extensibility of wheat flour dough or wet gluten positively correlated (r=0.76, 0.91, 0.93), with loaf volume and negatively with hardness values, respectively. Therefore, it was concluded that improvement of bread quality with Doenjang resulted from increase of gluten content and dough extensibility.

Qualify Characteristics of Yackwa according to the region - Focusing on Jeonbuk Province - (제조지역에 따른 약과의 품질 특성 -전북지역을 중심으로-)

  • In this study on the recipe for Yakgwa in Jeonbuk province, a survey of the ingredients, the quantity and the recipe for Yakgwa were conducted by an interview with the notable maker of it in 9 regions ; Jeonju, Imshil, Jangsu, Jeongup, Namwon(Samaemyeon & Dukgwamyeon), Wanju, Gochang, Iksan, away from each other. The hardness testing and the sensory evaluation of Yakgwa were carried out to compare with the control group and Jeonbuk Yakgwa. The results of this study are as follows ; 1. Common ingredients of Yakgwa examined in 9 regions were flour, sesame oil or soybean oil, honey or sugar, ginger juice, alcoholic drinks and etc. The quantity of oil (sesame or soybean) per kilogram of flour was as follows between one-half and one cup of oil, between one and three cups of honey or sugar, between one-half and one cup of ginger juice and between one-half and one cup of alcoholic drinks. Making of Yakgwa in Jeonju and Imshil area, knead flour with the liquid ingredients which are mixed together before. In other areas, after sifting the mixed flour with sesame oil, and then knead the remaining with the sifted. 2. The result of the hardness testing of Yakgwa was that it is higher in this order, Iksan, Imshil, the control group, Jeongup, Jeonju. With while the difference of syrup used in each of them, the result of hardness testing in the same order shows that the component of Yakgwa has more great effect on the hardness than a kind of syrup on which the result by using syrup before&after cooking. And in the sensory evaluation, the surface color of Iksan Yakgwa was the most bright of all, and the shininess was of Imshil and the control group, the cracked level, the softness, the sweet taste and the oily taste of Jeonju Yakgwa was better than other Also, the overall preference, though less meaningful, was same result.
