Methods: Korean medical doctor classified the patients into two group, pyungweesan symptom group and non pyungweesan symptom group. After that, each group responsed to the questionnaire. We tested for both the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. For validity test, we compared the sum, average and standard deviation of 20 items of pyungweesan symptom group with those of non-pyungweesan symptom group through independent sample t-test, For reliability test, we computerized crohnbach's a value of the items. Results: The developed questionnaire showed remarkable reliability. (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ =0.854) There were a significant differences on the sum of the 20 items and each 19 item's average and standard deviation, except 1 item; Do you have an irregular discharge from the womb? Conclusions: Based on the results of the above analysis, the korean medical doctor will make an effort to apply the pyungweesan questionnaire clinically. In the future, the additional research is needed.

  • In Oriental Medicine, Atopic dermatitis(AD) belongs to the category of the Naseun, Taesun(胎癬), Taeryumchang(胎斂瘡), Eczema(濕疹), Seupchang(濕瘡), Samanpung(四彎風), Chimumchang(浸淫瘡). The Basic Prescriptions which have been used for treatment of Atopic dermatitis are saengryusamultang(生料四物湯), Onchungeum(溫淸飮), Seungmagalgeuntang(升麻葛根湯),Hoichunryangkyuksan(回春凉膈散), Doghengsan(導赤散), Pyungweesan(平胃散), Heungbangpaedoksan(荊防敗毒散), Goomigangharltang(九味羌活湯), Baekhotang(白虎湯), Gaegytang(桂枝湯), Yukmigihyuangtang(六味地黃湯). AD can divide three groups, Acute-Type, Semiacute-Type, Chronic-Type, according to it's condition. This study shows that it can be applicate Seungmagalgeuntang(升麻葛根湯), Hoichunryangkyuksan(回春凉膈散), Doghengsan(導赤散), Heungbangpaedoksan(荊防敗毒散), Goomigangharltang(九味羌活湯), Baekhotang(白虎湯), Gaegytang(桂枝湯) for treatment of Acute-Type, Pyungweesan(平胃散) for treatment of Semiacute-Type, and saengryusamultang(生料四物湯), Oncungeum(溫淸飮) for treatment fo Chronic-Type.

  • Objectives: In comparison with functional dyspepsia, food accumulation is known to have wider concept. On this study, we will make a proposal on the concept of food accumulation by a statistical comparison between pyungweesan questionnaire and health related questionnaires. Methods: We studied the similarities between six factors of pyungweesan questionnaire and four health related questionnaires(Rome II criteria of functional dyspepsia, subjective symptoms of fatigue test, beck depression inventory, state-trait anxiety inventory, etc.) using multidimensional scaling. Results and Conclusions: 1. Physical-emotional axis and acute-chronic axis were labelled in a two-dimensional scaling solution. 2. Seup-dam(濕痰) factor and sik-che(食滯) factor of food accumulation were closely related to fatigue. 3. Bi-seup(脾濕) factor of food accumulation was closely related to depression and anxiety. 4. The findings suggest that a concept of food accumulation reflects some aspects of physical fatigue and emotional depression as well as dyspepsia.
