The perceived quality is a concept considered from the consumer's perspective. So it is differ from the objective determination of product quality. Thus the consumer perception of quality is a subjective judgement of an individual and an overall feeling on the characteristics which includes the product's reliability, performance and so on. In terms of product perception, consumers utilize the product cues in evaluating the product's quality before the purchase and the cues reflecting the quality can be classifisied into intrinsic and extrinsic ones. When the quality perception is limited to the purchase situation, purchase decision dependent on surrogate indicators such as price, are inclined to increase due to the lack of information. Therefore in this study the perceived quality of apparel is controled to the purchase situation in order to examine the consumer's reaction to the price cues and for the convenience of the exploratory investigation. As a result of the empirical study, consumers show differences in quality and value perceptions to the product with the same price depending on the perception whether the price is high or low. The apparel quality evaluation process goes through the steps of "product attributes - perceived quality - perceived value - purchase intention".
The multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of apparel products: Relationships with attitudinal and behavioral variables Price has a significant relationship to clothing products not only because of its practical, emotional and symbolic attributes but also because of its wide range and frequent changes. The purpose of this study was to identify the multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of clothing products. Six types of price-perceptions were related to various attitudinal and behavioral variables in a clothing purchase. A questionnaire was developed and data were collected from 720 adult women living in Seoul. Factor analysis, multiple regression, t-test and canconical correlation were employed to analyze the data. Low price consciousness was negatively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and effected the one-price sale, visiting public markets and using interpersonal sources of price information. Value for money consciousness was positively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and consumers' age or marriage and effected price considerations at the on-purchase and post-purchase stage. Price-quality inference was related to product-oriented and market-oriented aspects of clothing while price-prestige inference was related to visual and symbolic aspects of clothing and effected normal-price purchasing. Sale proneness was related to market-oriented aspects of clothing and effected seasonal sale price purchasing and price mavenism was related to market-oriented and visual aspects of clothing and effected price considerations at the pre-purchase stage.
Idol goods refer to products such as cups and towels, or mementos or souvenirs that are manufactured to gratify the desires of fandom and may include the facial images of a star. The objective of this research was to explore the purchase behaviors of K-pop idol goods. Two hundred and sixty female idol goods purchasers in their twenties participated in an online survey. Cheering tools were the most often purchased idol goods, followed by idol slogans and dolls. To investigate the difference in idol goods' attributes they considered when shopping, respondents were divided into three purchase groups based on their annual total expense for purchasing idol goods. There were significant differences among light, medium and heavy purchasers in terms of goods' price, practical features, and scarcity. The light shopper group was majorly guided by price and practical features as compared to the other two groups, and heavy shopper group was majorly guided by scarcity attribute than in the other two shopper groups. The more they identified their favorite idols, the more they worked hard, the higher their income, the higher the expenses of investing in idol products, the more likely they were to repurchase idol goods. In term of post-purchase behavior of idol goods, most idol goods purchase by fans were stored rather than used, and few indicated that they purchase two identical idol goods for use and storage.

This study examines the impact of fashion brand collaborations in sandbox games on consumer purchase intentions, focusing on brand coolness and self-avatar identification. Through online surveys of U.S. consumers aged 20-40, it finds that aesthetics, scarcity, and familiarity contribute to brand coolness, with only aesthetics directly impacting purchase intentions. Emotional engagement, self-expression, and perceived enjoyment enhance brand coolness, with emotional engagement being the most influential, and all except perceived enjoyment positively affect purchase intentions. Brand coolness from collaborations positively impacts purchase intentions, indicating that positive consumer attitudes drive behavior. Self-avatar identification moderates the relationships between familiarity and brand coolness, self-expression, and purchase intentions, and moderates the mediating effect of brand coolness. The study underscores the importance of self-avatar identification in shaping consumer behavior and calls for further research in diverse industries and new marketing forms.

The quantitative research using questionnaires was targeted at Americans, Chinese and Japanese who visited Korea. The questionnaires were back-translated into different languages for completion by the test subjects. Out of a total of 424 surveys returned, 393 were deemed usable. As a result of data analyses using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0, we found that: First, two attitude factors, the authenticity and aesthetic elements, exerted a significant effect on the intent to purchase.
