  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference of the response to fashion ad and its effect between traditional ad and postmodern ad, to examine the difference of the response to fashion ad and its effects according to sensation seeking tendency, and to investigate the effect of the response to fashion ad on its effect. For the purposes of this study, two postmodern ads and one traditional ad were selected as stimuli and data were collected from 230 female college students. The results are as follows: 1) Postmodern advertisement was unique, impacting, hard-to-understand, sensory-stimulating, and fantastic, when compared to traditional advertising. 2) Consumers felt disgusted by confusion and shock coming from postmodern advertising, but at the same time, recognized its value as an advertisement and took more pleasure and fun from it. 3) Consumers with high sensation-seeking-tendency perceived postmodern ads more sensually and showed more positive response to the postmodern ads. 4) While subjective, emotional response affected the attitude toward advertisements, sensory-stimulating affected the attitude toward brand and purchase intention. Thus, cognitive response should also be considered significant to form brand equity in long term.

  • As there is a growing interest in natural ingredients, they are actively being studied to improve damaged skin However, the lip cosmetics are still being inadequately studied on the exposure of lips to several stimuli and easy flow of chemical on the lips into the body. This study was conducted to make a clinical evaluation on the real effect of lip balm on lips, by extracting oil from Chamaecyparis obtusa and Lithospermum erythrorhizon that are known to play a positive role on skin. The following three natural lip balms were produced: lip balm made with Chamaecyparis obtusa(LBWCO), lip balm made with both Chamaecyparis obtusa and Lithospermum erythrorhizon(LBWCOLE), lip balm made without Chamaecyparis obtusa or Lithospermum erythrorhizon(LBWICOLE). The quality of LBWCO or LBWCOLE was evaluated to be higher than that of LBWICOLE. LBWCO and LBWCOLE had the highest satisfaction and purchase intention, respectively. As stated above, Chamaecyparis obtusa and Lithospermum erythrorhizon could be the ingredients of lip balm, and they were effective in improving damaged lips. Consequently, this study will provide opportunities to explore excellent ingredients to be used in natural lip balm. Also, studying lip cosmetics using only the natural ingredients will provide opportunities to expand positive images of ingredients for producing lip cosmetics.

Therefore, this study explores the underlying dimensions of interpersonal trust and examines how interpersonal trust influences trust in the e-tailer and behavioral intent. Data of 395 adults who had purchased apparel goods online were collected nationwide using an online questionnaire. Exploratory and confirmative factor analysis identified five underlying constructs of interpersonal trust online such as peer identification, ability, integrity, shared lifegoals, and benevolence. A structural equation modeling test was conducted to examine the relationships between interpersonal trust, trust in the e-tailer, and behavioral intent. Interpersonal trust influenced on trust in the e-tailer, specifically on trust in the e-tailer's competence which subsequently increased a customer's behavioral intent such as attitude toward the e-tailer and shopping intention. Although no direct effect of interpersonal trust on the behavioral intent was found, interestingly, the effects of the interpersonal trust on the e-tailer trust which derived the behavioral intent to purchase. • In Vietnam, the desire to consume organic vegetables is increasing as people become increasingly concerned about foods that contain several chemicals and toxins that are hazardous to their health. However, numerous subjective and objective factors continue to influence customers' purchase intention and behavior, indicating that this market has not yet reached its full potential. The study analyzes the impacts of trust, price, and convenience on consumers' consumption behavior and frequency of using organic vegetables in Northern Vietnam. We surveyed 312 consumers in the region. After classifying the data, 178 participants have used or regularly used organic vegetables selected for further study. Next, the author applied SmartPLS software with version 3.3 to test the hypotheses and analyze the effects of the observations. The result shows that three main factors affect customers' organic vegetable consumption behavior, especially perceived convenience. This study contributes to the development of comprehensive policy mechanisms and regulations on product traceability. Furthermore, market management authorities must have a strategy in place to inspect the product quality of organic vegetable store chains regularly to build customer trust and support the growth of organic vegetable production and supply chains in Vietnam's northern region.

Through this, the potential of food materials as future food resources was evaluated and foundational data was provided to devise marketing strategies required to develop products made from edible insect foods. According to the results, females had more information on edible insect foods than males (p<0.05), and males gained higher points in trying new foods (p<0.001), overall satisfaction (p<0.001), and purchase intention (p<0.01) than females. Both importance (p<0.05) and satisfaction (p<0.001) about the mean of the choice attributes of edible insects were higher in males than females. The sustenance area showed high importance and high satisfaction, including taste, smell, freshness, sanitation, safety, and shelf-life. Accordingly, to understand edible insect foods properly, it is important to deliver information constantly and publicize them aggressively. This study provides insights for retailers about the dynamic of consumer behavior before and during the pandemic, including future predictions. Research design, data and methodology: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement was applied in this study. Seven studies that were selected from five databases meet the criteria for cohort and cross-sectional analyses of gender, age, store types, and environmental concerns. Results: Consumer's gender and age contribute to consumer behavior change. Both offline and online stores can be integrated as omnichannel rather than substitute each other. Product distribution and consumer budget need to be reevaluated by retailers, while internet security is the most essential factor when developing their online transactions. Conclusions: COVID-19 pandemic has a significant impact on changing consumer behavior in most countries. Retailers are encouraged to adapt to the changes by modifying their business model with technology. However, it is still speculated and cannot be generalized due to different cultural and contextual factors. Future studies are always needed to synchronize along with the transition of consumers' behavior.

  • This study investigated the perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors of potential consumers toward using 3D printers to create their personal clothes. An online survey and a series of Welch's t-tests and ANOVA were conducted to investigate the differences in demographic characteristics, prior experiences in 3D printing, and levels of need for uniqueness among the sub-groups. A multiple linear regression analysis was performed to test the relationships among variables of the modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). There were significant differences in gender and prior experiences regarding the UTAUT of personal 3D printing. The need for uniqueness has a positive effect on consumers' intention to use 3D printing technology for designing personal clothes and perception of the price of the 3D printer used to create individual clothes is important. Positive relationships were found between UTAUT variables as well as the use and purchase intentions. This study analyzed the potential for popularization of 3D printing technology to create fashion items and explore consumer willingness to embrace and use personal fashion designs. The results of this study are expected to assist consumers, designers, retailers and marketers, and experts in 3D printing technology by providing insight into consumer awareness and acceptance of personalized 3D-printed fashion and products.
