온도구배에 의한 고출력 광섬유 레이저의 유도 브릴루앙 산란 억제 특성 (Characteristics of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering Suppression in High-power Fiber Lasers Using Temperature Gradients)

  • 본 논문에서는 고출력 광섬유 레이저의 유도 브릴루앙 산란 억제 특성을 분석하기 위하여, 구형파, 사인파, 임의파 조건의 온도구배 기구부를 설계 및 제작하였다. 또한 전광섬유 MOPA (master oscillator power amplifier) 구조의 이터븀 첨가 편광유지 광섬유 증폭기를 제작하였으며, 온도구배 조건별 역반사 스펙트럼 및 출력을 측정하였다. 구형파 조건의 온도구배에 의해 유도 브릴루앙 산란이 가장 효과적으로 억제되었으며, PRBS (pseudo-random binary sequence) 위상변조 조건과 온도구배 간의 유도 브릴루앙 산란 특성에 끼치는 상호 영향성을 분석하였다.

펌핑 구조에 따른 1 kW급 협대역 편광 유지 광섬유 레이저의 출력 특성 연구 (A Study of the Output Characteristics of a 1-kW-class Narrow-bandwidth PM Fiber Laser Depending on Its Pumping Structure)

  • 본 논문에서는 주 증폭기가 양방향 펌핑 방식인 MOPA (master oscillator power amplifier) 협대역 고출력 광섬유 레이저를 제작하였으며, 제작된 레이저의 출력 특성을 연구하였다. 이터븀이 도핑된 코어 25 ㎛, 클래드 400 ㎛ 편광 유지 광섬유를 사용하여 주 증폭부를 제작하였으며, 신호 광원은 PRBS (pseudo-random binary sequence) 신호에 의해 위상 변조된 3 GHz, 10 GHz의 선폭을 갖는 광원을 사용하였다. 3 GHz의 선폭을 가진 신호 광원을 이용하여 순방향과 역방향 펌프 비율을 조절하며 SBS (stimulated Brillouin scattering) 특성을 분석하였다. 10 GHz의 선폭을 가진 신호 광원을 이용하여 주 증폭기의 펌핑 비율에 따른 TMI 특성을 분석하였다. 순방향 및 역방향 펌프 비율을 1.6:1로 입사시켰을 때 주 증폭기의 출력을 1 kW까지 증폭하였으며, 기울기 효율과 빔 품질(M2)은 각각 80%, 1.36으로 측정되었다.

혼돈맵들에 기반한 합성 상태머신의 설계 (Design of the composition state machine based on the chaotic maps)

  • 본 논문에서는 두 가지 혼돈맵들 -톱니맵 $S_2(x)$ 와 텐트맵 $T_2(x)-$ 을 연결시킨 하나의 합성맵을 기초로 사용하는 독립된 하나의 합성상태머신을 설계하는 방법 및 그 결과을 제시하였다. 두 가지 다른 혼돈맵들 -톱니맵과 텐트맵- 의 합성 논리를 이용하여 설계된 독립된 하나의 합성상태머신에서 발생하는 혼돈적인 상태들을 그래프적으로 보였으며, 발생하는 의사 난수적인 상태들의 주기는 이산화된 진리표의 정밀도에 따른 길이를 갖는다는 것도 보였다.

Simultaneous Adsorption of Chromium (VI) and Phosphate by Calcined Mg-Al-CO3 Layered Double Hydroxides

  • The adsorption characteristics of chromium (VI) and phosphate on calcined Mg-Al-$CO_3$ layered double hydroxides (CLDH) were investigated in single and binary systems. A series of batch experiments were performed to study the influence of various experimental parameters. In this study, CLDH exhibited a high adsorption capacity for Cr (VI) and P in a single system. The experimental data were close to the theoretical adsorption capacity given by the Langmuir isotherm, the calculating adsorption capacities of Cr (VI) and P were up to 70.42 mg/g and 97.09 mg/g, respectively. It was found that the initial pH was approximately 6 and it took 24 h to reach equilibrium when P and Cr (VI) were added simultaneously. The experimental data were best fitted by a pseudo-second-order kinetics model. Competitive adsorption between Cr (VI) and P existed in the binary system. The presence of Cr (VI) had no significant influence on P adsorption. However, the suppression of Cr (VI) adsorption was obvious when the initial concentration of P was up to 10 mg/L with a concentration of 0.5 g/L of CLDH.

Novel Multiple Access Schemes for IEEE 802.15.4a Low-rate Ultra-wide Band Systems

  • The IEEE 802.15.4a specification targets the low-rate (LR) Impulse-radio (IR) ultra-wideband (UWB) system which is now widely applied in the WPANs considering rather short distance communications with low complexity and power consumption. The physical (PHY) layer uses concatenated coding with mixed binary phase-shift keying and binary pulse-position modulation (BPSK-BPPM), and direct sequence spreading with time hopping in order that both coherent and non-coherent receiver architectures are supported. In this paper, the performances of multiple access schemes compliant with IEEE 802.15.4a specification are investigated with energy detection receiver, which allow avoiding the complex channel estimation needed by a coherent receiver. However, the performance of energy detection receiver is severely degraded by multi-user interference (MUI), which largely diminishes one of the most fascinating advantages of UWB, namely robustness to MUI as well as the possibility to allow parallel transmissions. So as to improve the performance of multiple access schemes, we propose to apply the novel TH sequences as well as to increase the number of TH positions. The simulation results show that our novel multiple access schemes significantly improve the performance against MUI.

TMBOC과 CBOC 신호에 적합한 모호성이 낮은 다중경로 오차완화 기법 (An Unambiguous Multipath Error Mitigation Scheme for TMBOC and CBOC Signals)

  • One of the most significant errors in the pseudo-range measurement performance of GNSSes (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) is their multipath error for high-precision applications. Several schemes to mitigate this error have been studied. Most of them, however, have been focused on the GPS (Global Positioning System) L1 C/A (Coarse/Acquisition) signal that was designed in the 1970s and is still being used for civil navigation. Recently, several modernized signals that were especially conceived to more significantly mitigate multipath errors have been introduced, such as Time Multiplexed and Composite Binary Offset Carrier (TMBOC and CBOC, respectively) signals. Despite this advantage, however, a problem remains with the use of TMBOC and CBOC modulations: the ambiguity of BOC (Binary Offset Carrier)-modulated signal tracking. In this paper, a novel unambiguous multipath error mitigation scheme for these modernized signals is proposed. The proposed scheme has the same complexity as HRCs (High Resolution Correlators) but with low ambiguity. The simulation results showed that the proposed scheme outperformed or performed at par with the HRC in terms of their multipath error envelopes and running averages in the static and statistical channel models. The ranging error derived by the mean multipath error of the proposed scheme was below 1.8 meters in an urban area in the statistical channel model.

A Watermarking Scheme for Shapefile-Based GIS Digital Map Using Polyline Perimeter Distribution

  • This paper proposes a robust watermarking scheme for GIS digital map by using the geometric properties of polyline and polygon, which are the fundamental components in vector data structure. In the proposed scheme, we calculate the lengths and the perimeters of all polylines and polygons in a map and cluster them to a number of groups. Then we embed the binary watermark by changing the mean of lengths and perimeters in an embedding group. For improving the safety and robustness, we permute the binary watermark through PRNS(pseudo-random number sequence) processing and embed it repeatedly in a model. Experimental results verified that our scheme has a good invisibility, safety and robustness to various geometric attacks and also our scheme needs not the original map in the extracting process of watermark.

5-값 상호상관관계를 갖는 새로운 비선형 이진수열군의 설계와 선형스팬 분석 (Design and Analysis of Linear Span of A New Family of Non-linear Binary Sequences with 5-Valued Cross-Correlation Functions)

  • 여러 가지 디지털통신 시스템에서 많이 사용되고 있는 의사 난수열을 설계하는데 있어 가장 중요한 문제는 생성된 수열들 사이의 상호상관관계가 낮은 수열을 생성하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 Gold 계열의 수열의 합성으로 이루어지는 새로운 이진수열군 $S^r=\{Tr_1^m\{[Tr_m^n(a{\alpha}^t+{\alpha}^{dt})]^r\}{\mid}a{\in}GF(2^n),\;0{\leq}t<2^n-1\}$를 제안하고 $d=2^{n-1}(3{\cdot}2^m-1)$일 때 상호상관관계 함숫값을 구한다. 여기서 n=2m이고 gcd(r, $2^m-1$)=1이다. 또한 특별한 r에 대하여 이진수열군 $S^r$의 선형스팬을 분석한다. 제안된 수열은 Gold 계열 수열의 확장이기도 하고 GMW수열의 확장이기도 하다.

  • 여러 가지 디지털통신 시스템에서 많이 사용되고 있는 의사 난수열을 설계하는데 있어 가장 중요한 문제는 생성된 수열들 사이의 상호상관관계가 낮은 수열을 생성하는 것이다. 또한 설계된 이진수열의 상호상관관계의 빈도분석은 많은 연구자에 의해 연구되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 n=2m, $d=2^{n-1}(3{\cdot}2^m-1)$일 때 5-값 상호상관관계를 갖는 비선형 이진수열군 $S^r=\{Tr^m_1\{[Tr^n_m(a{\alpha}^t+{\alpha}^{dt}]^r\}{\mid}a{\in}GF(2^m),0{\leq}t &lt; 2^n-1\}$에 대한 상호상관관계에 대한 빈도 분석과 여러 가지 상호상관관계 성질을 분석한다. 여기서 $gcd(r,2^m-1)=1$이다.

$Bi_2Te_3-PbTe$계 열전소재의 자연나노구조체 형성 및 특성

  • The microtstructures and properties of alloys in the pseudo-binary $Bi_2Te_3-PbTe$ system were investigated as a first step towards the design of nanostructured materials with enhanced thermoelectric properties. The liquid alloys were cooled by water quenching method. Dendritic and lamellar structures were observed clearly by using environmental scanning electron microscope(eSEM) and electron probe micro analyzer(EPMA) take into account composition ratio between $Bi_2Te_3$ and PbTe. The compound $Pb_2Bi_6Te_{11}$ precipitated as a metastable phase under all conditions. The structure of those samples changed from dendritic to lamellar by increasing $Bi_2Te_3$ ratio of composition.
