Due to the needs of design optimization and productivity for modernized Korean traditional house, standardization of Korean traditional building components is proceeding by BIM (Building Information Modeling). Currently, most of BIM software support object-based parametric modeling. By means of parameterized Korean traditional building components, the shape and assembly relation can be controlled. Although IFC(ISO/PAS 16739), which is an international standard in the AEC field, has been developed for information exchange among BIM software, IFC and other existing common data formats cannot be exchangeable parametric information. For the exchangeable parametric information within IFC, the authors defined meta-data by using Pset(Property-Set). The authors analyzed results about interoperability test in Revit $Architecture^{TM}$, $ArchiCAD^{TM}$ and Digital $Project^{TM}$. In order to solve found problems, the authors developed a translator to improve interoperability among BIM software.
A non linear QSAR model was constructed on a series of 57 xanthone and curcuminoide derivatives as ${\alpha}$-glucosidase inhibitors by back-propagation neural network method. The neural network architecture was optimized to obtain a three-layer neural network, composed of five descriptors, nine hidden neurons and one output neuron. A good predictive determination coefficient was obtained (${R^2}_{Pset}$ = 86.7%), the statistical results being better than those obtained with the same data set using a multiple regression analysis (MLR). As in the MLR model, the descriptor MATS7v weighted by Van der Waals volume was found as the most important independent variable on the ${\alpha}$-glucosidase inhibitory.

Architectural design work depends on information made from earlier phases such as feasibility study, planning, and conceptual design. This design guideline information includes design objectives, requirements, and constraints made by decision-making, and has great influence on various works of latter phases of design process. Despite of this cognition, however, the lack of design guideline information management still remains as one among the critical issues in design area. Design tools with design guideline information do not also address the issue of interoperability throughout the life-cycle of buildings. The purpose of this research is to propose a method for design guideline information management by using the IFC technology and IFC Property set (Pset) extension mechanism. The method comprises defining and mapping the practically used design guideline items and extensible IFC data model, and includes the management of relationships that exist between design guideline information and design model in the IFC data model.

One of the crucial components in building information modeling (BIM) is data. To systematically manage these data, various research studies have focused on the creation of object breakdown structures and property sets. Specifically, crucial data for managing programs and payments involves work breakdown structures (WBSs) and cost breakdown structures (CBSs), which are indispensable for mapping BIM objects. Achieving this requires disassembling CBS quantities based on 3D objects and WBS. However, this task is highly tedious owing to the large volume of CBS and divergent coding practices employed by different organizations. Manual processes, such as those based on Excel, become nearly impossible for such extensive tasks. In response to the challenge of computing quantities that are difficult to derive from BIM objects, this study presents methods for disassembling length-based quantities, incorporating significant portions of the bill of quantities (BOQs). The proposed approach recommends suitable CBS by leveraging the accumulated history of WBS-CBS mapping databases. Additionally, it establishes a unified CBS code, facilitating the effective operation of CBS databases.
The main objective of this study is to propose a method to enhance building safety using the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) schema in Building Information Modeling (BIM). To achieve this goal, a fire object relationship diagram is created by using the Model View Definition (MVD) and Property Set (Pset) methodology, as well as the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) based object relationship analysis. The proposed method illustrates how to represent objects and tasks related to fire prevention and human safety during a building fire, including variables that are relevant to these aspects. Furthermore, the proposed method offers the advantage of considering both the IFC object hierarchy and the project work hierarchy when creating new objects, thereby expanding the attribute information for fire safety and maintenance. However, upon confirmation via an IFC viewer after development, a problem with the accuracy of mapping between attributes and objects arises due to the issue of proxy representation of related object information and newly added object information in standard IFC. Therefore, in future research, a mapping method for fire safety objects will be developed to ensure accurate representation, and the scope of utilization of the fire safety object diagram will be expanded. Furthermore, efforts will be made to enhance the accuracy of object and task representation. This research is expected to contribute significantly to the technological development of building safety and fire facility design in the future.

In order to improve the productivity in the civil engineering field, efforts to apply BIM have been continuing, however, research on information modeling of tunnel structures considering alignment is insufficient. In this study, we proposed the method of building tunnel models reflecting curved alignment by transferring point data to BIM Authoring Tools(BAT) through discretization of alignment in Alignment-centered Modeling Tools(AMT). IFC data schema was derived to consider the physical and spatial elements of tunnel structures and alignment and IFC-based information management for tunnel alignment, tunnel structures and ground conditions was possible by referring to the extended data schema and including meanings in IFC property sets. The ratings for ground condition in Rock Mass Rating(RMR) and Q-system was automatically derived by using generated information model according to the proposed method.

IDM is a methodology for capturing and specifying processes and information flow during the life-cycle of a facility. The methodology can be used to document existing or new processes, and describe the associated information that need to be exchanged between parties. In this paper, the information model for BIM-based structural steel member design was defined using IDM methodology. The structural information offered in IFC was analyzed, and its adequacy was verified by applying the case study using Excel. As a result, $IFC2{\times}3$ offers the most structural design information for BIM-based structural steel member design, and some sectional properties omitted in $IFC2{\times}3$ were offered in IFC4. IDM methodology can be used effectively for developing BIM-based structural design systems.

In construction project, it is important to exchange and share the digital information generated by their own professional softwares. So this paper analyzed the information delivery requirements of steel structure according the structural design stages using IDM methodology. For schematic design stage and detailed design stage, the structural design information to share in each design stages is abstracted by defining the PM, ER, and FP. The new ERs and FPs are proposed by defining the new property sets(Psets), suchlike bolt gauge line, weld, scallop, and cope, to complement the structural design information of $IFC2{\times}3$. Finally, the reasonability of the proposed new ERs, FPs are verified by applying them to represent the standard steel connection sample in detailed design stage. As a result, the structural design information of standard steel connection could be stored and managed sufficiently by using the proposed new ERs and FPs.

In the case of river facilities, the management of this information differs depending on national and regional rivers, therefore, there is no integrated management in place. There is concern about the loss of facility information owing to the insufficient accumulation of information during their design and construction stages. Additionally, as a result, the utilization level of facility information during the maintenance and operation stages is insufficient. To ensure effective maintenance and operation of river facilities, it is necessary to secure data consistency and increase efficiency by organizing facility information according to a standardized classification system. This study proposes a strategy for implementing the BIM standard classification system in the river sector, considering facility characteristics. The goal is to introduce a BIM information model for 3D-based river facilities, and enable efficient maintenance and operation conversion.

With the recent development of 4th industrial revolution technology, BIM information systems are spreading to civil engineering fields as a link to this technology. Accordingly, the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry is announcing a technical policy to introduce the BIM information system into the construction sector from 2020. Usually, SOC-related facilities are complex, making it difficult to implement BIM without a standards framework. To overcome these problems, it is urgent to develop a BIM standard classification system. In this study, the BIM property classification system was developed to link the previously developed object classification system by analyzing domestic and foreign prior studies and working standards. This includes property information of businesses, facilities, parts of facilities and components that correspond to the level of object composition in the road and river sectors. It also suggested ways to apply expansion to various SOC areas and to organize spatial information by facility. The results of this study were applied to road facilities to verify the possibility of information building. The development of the BIM Standards Classification System through this R&D will contribute to the development of construction IT by providing conditions for convenient modeling and information system.
