Let A be a $C^*$-algebra and $A^**$ its enveloping von Neumann algebra. Pedersen and Akemann developed four concepts of lower semicontinuity for elements of $A^**$. Later, Brown suggested using only three classes: strongly lsc, middle lsc, and weakly lsc. In this paper, we generalize the concept of weak semicontinuity [1, 3] to the case of unbounded operators affiliated with $A^**$. Also we consider the generalized version of the conditions of the Brown's theorem [3, Proposition 2.2 & 3.27] for unbounded operators.

A group of twenty-nine high school student-teachers were given a set of mathematical propositions focusing on shape-to-shape transformations. Their task was to determine through hands-on manipulation and use of dynamic software that each shape be transformed into an area equivalent rectangular region. This paper reports on a classroom-based research.

This paper presents a new mehtod with which we can improve the efficiency (both of speed and precision) of FPN$^{[1]}$. Our method makes use of the basic propositions smong the conditional propositions of a goal proposition. The basic propositions are represented as ource vertices on an FPN. Therefore, we introduce an efficient algebraic algorithm which finds source vertices of FPN.

We show that every $\varepsilon-approximate$ Jordan functional on a Banach algebra A is continuous. From this result we obtain that every $\varepsilon-approximate$ Jordan mapping from A into a continuous function space C(S) is continuous and it's norm less than or equal $1+\varepsilon$ where S is a compact Hausdorff space. This is a generalization of Jarosz's result [3, Proposition 5.5].

Success in Knowledge Management depends critically on the evaluation system that managers of an organization evaluate objectively performance of members of the organization. In particular, the differences in the standard of Performance evaluation used by managers in Governmental Institution or Agency of make an issue of the standardization of Performance evaluation. Therefore, in this paper we propose the alternative evaluation method, which minimizes the bias resulted from the different standards by measuring ranking of knowledge workers, instead of quantitative analysis, using Median Rank method in Reliability and verify our proposition using the analysis of examples.

The aim of this study is to examine the number concept of middle school student at grade 9. The research problems of this study are "Can the students classify the various number correctly\ulcorner", "How do the students understand the proposition related to the number concept\ulcorner", and "How do the students know the definition of rational number, irrational number, and real number\ulcorner". In order to examine these problems, we analyze the students' responses about the questions related to the number concept. The result of this examination is that the number concept of students is very insufficient and lacking.

In this study, we tried to make clear the meaning of implication, and inquired into Piaget's theory on the development of children's logical thinking focussing on implication. Because the progressive development of the notion of implication is very important to learn the meaning of conditional proposition, we searched a sequence for the learning implication on basis of Piaget's theory.

The spatial form of architecture in the same era has its own common characteristic spatial form. This study is based on this proposition and is focused on how architectural spatial forms have been changed up to now after modern ages(from the beinging of 1900s to the early days of 1990s ; from early modern age, golden modern age, post modern, late modern architecture to recent experimental trend) and how architectural theories of spatial forms will be changed in the future is predicted.

제 7차 교육과정에서 상업계 고등학교 컴퓨터 교육은 정보 처리에 관한 기초 전문 지식과 기술을 습득하게 하여 정보화 시대에 대처할 수 있는 능력을 개발하여 우수한 직업인이 될 수 있는 소양을 기르는데 초점을 두고 있으나 현재의 컴퓨터 관련 교육과정은 이를 따라가지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 시대가 요구하는 방향에 따라 정보통신 관련 교과목을 필수로 하여 멀티미디어, 웹 프로그래밍, 데이터베이스 등의 다양한 교과목을 추가하는 교육과정을 제안한다. 제안된 교육과정은 현재 상업계 교육과정을 향후 교과목별 단원 및 학년별 단위 시수 편성과 조정 등의 개선 방안을 제공하는데 있다.

Let X be a smooth projective threefold whose anticanonical division $-K_X$ is ample, i.e., Fano threefold. In this paper, we studied the linear system $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ for a positive integer n. In Theorem 4, we studied the cases that $\-nK_X$\mid$$ has no base-points and the cases that $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ generate the birational map. In Proposition 5, we studied the possible exceptional cases given in Theorem 4. Some results in this paper are already known, but we have gave brief proofs for those results.
