FHD법에 의한 $B_2O_3-P_2O_5-SiO_2$ 실리카막의 효과적인 $P_2O_5$ 도핑 (The Effective $P_2O_5$ Doping into $B_2O_3-P_2O_5-SiO_2$ Silica Layer Fabrication by Flame Hydrolysis Deposition)

  • 광집적회로용 평면도파로를 구현하기 위한 $B_2O_3-P_2O_5-SiO_2$ 실리카 광도파막을 실리콘 기판위에 FDH(Flame Hydrolysis Depositon)법으로 제조하여 미립자의 미세구조, 실리카막의 굴절률과 조성을 고찰하였다. FHD법에서 도펀트(dopant)물질로, $B_1\;P_1\;Ge$ 등의 산화물이 사용되며, $B_1$ Ge 산화물의 경우 $SiO_2$와의 결합특성이 우수하여 비교적 도핑(doping)이 용이하지만 P의 경우 $P_2O_5$의 낮은 융점에 의한 증발 등으로 효과적인 도핑이 어렵다. 수직형 FHD 토치를 사용하고 화염온도, 기판온도, 토치와 기판간의 거리를 최적화하여 P 농도가 3.3 Wt%이상이고 고밀화 온도가 $1180^{\circ}C$ 이하인 양질의 실리카막을 얻었다. 실리카막의 굴절률은 $1.55\;\mu\textrm{m}$ 파장에서 $1.4480{\pm}1{\times}10^{-1}$로 측정되었으며, $22{\pm}1\;\mu\textrm{m}$의 두께를 보였다.

Synthesis and Characterization of Copper(Ⅱ) Complex Containing 2,2'-dipyridylbenzamide

  • A new copper complex containing 2,2'-dipyridylbenzamide(dpba), Cu(dpba)(NO3)2(CH3CN), has been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure has been determined. Crystal data: space group P212121, Z=8, a=13.911(3) Å, b=16.813(3) Å, c=18.932(3) Å, V=4427.9(1) Å3 and R=0.0674 for 1716 reflections. The copper environment is square pyramidal containing acetonitrile in axial site. Spectroscopic properties has been characterized in solution state. The redox property of the Cu(dpba)(NO3)2 complex is different from that of corresponding copper-dpa complex.

반복 열처리한 Nd-Fe-B 소결 자석의 미세구조 제어 및 자성특성 평가 (Microstructure Control and Magnetic Property of Nd-Fe-B Sintered Magnets After Cyclic Heat Treatment)

  • Sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets have been widely used due to their excellent magnetic properties, especially for driving motors of hybrid and electric vehicles. The microstructure of Nd-Fe-B magnets strongly affects their magnetic properties, in particular the coercivity. Therefore, a post-sintering process like heat-treatment is required for improving the magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets. In this study, cyclic heat treatment was performed at temperatures between $350^{\circ}C$ and $450^{\circ}C$ up to 16 cycles in order to control microstructures such as size and shape of the Nd-rich phase without grain growth of the $Nd_{2}Fe_{14}B$ phase. The 2 cycles specimen at this temperature range showed more homogeneous microstructure which leads to higher coercivity of 35 kOe than as-sintered one.

A non-symmetric non-periodic B3-spline finite strip method

  • In the earlier application of the spline finite strip method(FSM), the uniform B3-spline functions were used in the longitudinal direction while the conventional interpolation functions were used in the transverse direction to construct the displacement filed in a strip. To overcome the shortcoming of the uniform B3-spline, non-periodic B-spline was developed as the displacement function. The use of non-periodic B3-spline function requires no tangential vectors at both ends to interpolate the geometry of shell and the Kronecker delta property is also satisfied at the end boundaries. Recently, non-periodic spline FSM which was modified to have a multiple knots at the boundary was developed for the shell analysis and applied to the analysis of bridges. In the formulation of a non-symmetric spline finite strip method, the concepts of non-periodic B3-spline and a stress-resultant finite strip with drilling degrees of freedom for a shell are used. The introduction of non-symmetrically spaced knots in the longitudinal direction allows the selective local refinement to improve the accuracy of solution at the connections or at the location of concentrated load. A number of numerical tests were performed to prove the accuracy and efficiency of the present study.

  • Because magnets fabricated using Nd-Fe-B exhibit excellent magnetic properties, this novel material is used in various high-tech industries. However, because of the brittleness and low formability of Nd-Fe-B magnets, the design freedom of shapes for improving the performance is limited based on conventional tooling and postprocessing. Laser-powder bed fusion (L-PBF), the most famous additive manufacturing (AM) technique, has recently emerged as a novel process for producing geometrically complex shapes of Nd-Fe-B parts owing to its high precision and good spatial resolution. However, because of the repeated thermal shock applied to the materials during L-PBF, it is difficult to fabricate a dense Nd-Fe-B magnet. In this study, a high-density (>96%) Nd-Fe-B magnet is successfully fabricated by minimizing the thermal residual stress caused by substrate heating during L-PBF.

Nd-Fe-B계 소결자석의 자기적특성 향상 연구 (Improvement of Magnetic Properties of Nd-Fe-B Type Sintered Magnet)

  • Nd-Fe-B계 소결자석의 특성을 향상시키기 위해서는 Nd-Fe-B계 합금의 조성 및 제조공정을 조절하여 자성분말의 입도 및 입도분포, 강자성상인 N $d_2$F $e_{14}$B상의 분율, 자성분말의 배향도, 산소 함량, grain size 등과 같은 factor들을 최적화 하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 실험실 규모로 Nd-Fe-B계 합금 조성 및 공정 조절을 통하여 Nd-Fe-B계 소결자석을 제조하는 연구를 수행하였으며, 분쇄매체 분쇄시간 및 ball size에 따른 Nd-Fe-B계 소결자석의 자기적특성을 분석하여 최적의 분쇄조건을 조사하였다. 또한 분쇄공정 중 FeGa합금을 첨가하여 잔류자속밀도의 감소없이 Nd-Fe-B계 소결자석의 보자력을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 이와 같은 분쇄 조건의 연구, FeGa 합금에 의한 보자력 향상, 건식분쇄 방법 및 powder blending 공정을 적용하여 잔류자속밀도( $B_{r}$,) : 14.4kG, 보자력($_{i}$ $H_{c}$) : 9.4kOe, 최대자기에너지적((BH)$_{\max}$) : 47 MGOe의 자기적 특성을 갖는 Nd-Fe-B계 소결자석을 제조하였다.

타월용 시판소재의 촉감과 역학적 특성 (Tactility and Mechanical Properties of Marketing Towel)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the tactile sensation and mechanical properties of towel. Six kinds of towels with different surface structure and fiber composition were used for this study. To evaluate the tactility of towel, 36 adjectives were collected and then 11 adjectives were selected. The subjective evaluation was examined by one to one comparative method and by blind test for estimating the only the sense of touch of the towels. Kawabata's Evaluation system for fabrics was used to measure the mechanical properties which are tensile, bending, shear, compression, surface, weight, and thickness of six towels. The results are as follows; First, surface structure of the towels had an effect on estimation the sense of touch. Pile surface was evaluated thicker, compacter, more cushiony, and more elastic. Waffle surface was evaluated knottier and rougher, and microfiber suede surface was evaluated softer and denser. Second, the highest value of the mechanical properties measured were G, 2HG, B, and SMD of 100% cotton 100% pile, WC, T, and W of elban loop pile, WT, 2HB, and LC of 100% cotton cut pile, RT and MIU of microfiber suede, and RC of microfiber waffle. Third, the 11 adjectives were correlated with more than one mechanical property. 'Knotty' and 'rough' were correlated with MMD and SMD, 'soft' were correlated with B, 2HB, MMD, and SMD. 'Thick', 'heavy', 'compact', and 'elastic' were correlated with WC, T, and W, 'cushiony' was correlated with WC. 'Stiff' was correlated with B and 2HB, 'dry out' was correlated with RT, WC, MIU, and T. 'Dense' was correlated with RT and SMD.

100nm 이하 CMOS 소자의 Source/Drain dopant 종류에 따른 Nickel silicide의 특성분석 (Analysis of Dopant dependence in Ni-Silicide for Sub-l00 nm CMOS Technology)

  • In this paper, the dependence of Ni-silicide properties such as sheet resistance and cross-sectional profile on the dopants have been characterized. There was little dependence of sheet resistance on the used dopants such as As, P, $BF_{2}$ and $B_{11}$ just after RTP (Rapid Thermal Process). However, the silicide properties showed strong dependence on the dopants when thermal treatment was applied after formation of Ni-silicide. $BF_{2}$ implanted sample shows the best stable property, while $B_{11}$ implanted one was thermally unstable. The main reason of the excellent property of $BF_{2}$ sample is believed to be the retardation of Ni diffusion by the flourine.

PECVD법에 의해 증착된 Ti-B-C코팅막 내의 보론함량과 증착온도에 따른 미세구조 및 기계적 물성의 변화 (The Effect of Boron Content and Deposition Temperature on the Microstructure and Mechanical Property of Ti-B-C Coating Prepared by Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition)

  • Ternary Ti-B-C coatings were synthesized on WC-Co and Si wafers substrates by a PECVD technique using a gaseous mixture of $TiCl_4,\;BCl_3,\;CH_4,\;Ar,\;and\; H_2$. The effects of deposition variables such as substrate temperature, gas ratio, $R_x=[BCl_3/(CH_4+BCl_3)]$ on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-B-C coatings were investigated. From our instrumental analyses, the synthesized Ti-B-C coatings was confirmed to be composites consisting of nanocrystallites TiC, quasi-amorphous TiB2, and amorphous carbon at low boron content, on the contrary, nanocrystallites $TiB_2$, quasi-amorphous TiC, and amorphous carbon at relatively high boron content. The microhardness of the Ti-B-C coatings increased from $\~23 GPa$ of TiC to $\~38 GPa$ of $Ti_{0.33}B_{0.55}C_{0.11}$ coatings with increasing the boron content. The $Ti_{0.33}B_{0.55}C_{0.11}$ coatings showed lower average friction coefficient of 0.45, in addition, it showed relatively better wear behavior compared to other binary coatings of $TiB_2$ and TiC. The microstruture and microhardness value of Ti-B-C coatings were largely depend on the deposition temperature.

Syntheses and Thermal Properties of 5,10-Disubstituted-2,3,7,8-tetracyano-5,10-dihydrodipyrazino [2,3-b:2′,3′-el pyrazines and Polymeric Porphyrazines Derived from 2,3-Dichloro-5,6-dicyanopyrazine

  • Intermolecular cyclization of 2-alkylamino-3-chloro-5,6-dicyanopyrazine 2 in the presence of tributylamine in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) gave 5,10-disubstituted-2,3,7,8-tetracyano -5,10-dihydrodipyrazino〔2,3-b:2',3'-e]pyrazines 3, which showed strong mesomorphic property and were anticipated as new chromophoric system for functional dye materials. Absorption spectra, fluorescent properties and other physical properties were correlated with their chemical structures. Vanadyl oligomeric porphyrazine with long alkyl groups synthesized from 3 had satisfactory solubility in tetrahydrofuran (THF), diethyl ether and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). The syntheses and characterization of vanadyl polymeric porphyrazines derived from 3 with long alkyl groups are reported.
