  • 토양에서 분리한 Streptomyces nigrifaciens GMT-497호무터 G(+) bacteria에만 강한 항균활성을 갖는 항생물질 MT-497을 용매추출, silica column chromatography와 재결정화를 통하여 분리 정제하였다. MT-497의 UV, 융점, 원소분석, IR spectrum, $^1H-NMR$과 구성아미노산 분석을 통해 actinocin chromophore와 threonine, proline, methyl valine, sarcosine, aspartic acid로 구성된 peptide을 갖는 actinomvcin계열의 항생물질로 동정하였다.

한국산 고등 균류의 성분에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Constituents of Higher Fungi of Korea)

  • Free amino acids in extracts and total amino acids in hydrolysates of eight species of higher fungi were analyzed by an amino acid autoanalyzer. Twenty amino acids were analyzed in eight species of higher fungi. 1) of all free amino acids contained in higher fungi, alanine is the richest, and then comes glutamic acid, serine, arginine, proline and histidine in that order. Of all total amino acids contained in higher fungi, glutamic acid is the richest, and then comes proline, valine, aspartic acid, alanine, leucine in that order. Especially Russula fragilis and Lepiota procera contain large quantity of glutamic acid. 2) Gross contents of free amino acids in the extracts is high in order of Lepiota procera, Phylloporus rhodoxanthus, Russula fragilis, Tylopilus felleus and total amino acids in hydrolysates is high in Phylloporus rhodoxanthus, Lepiota procera, Russula fragilis, Lentinus lepideus. 3) Total amount of essential amino acids in the extracts was high in Lepiota procera, Phylloporus rhodoxanthus, Tylopilus felleus, Xylaria hypoxylon, Lentinus lepideus, Russula fragilis, Lactarius piperatus and Calocybe gambosa and in the hydrolysates of Phylloparus rhodoxanthus, Russula fragilis, Lepiota procera, Tylopilus felleus, Lentinus lepideus, Lactarius piperatus, Calocybe gambosa and Xylaria hypoxylon in that order, respectively.

  • The purpose of this study was to pursue the biosynthesis of proteins of human and bovine periodontal ligaments in vitro system. The excised periodontal ligaments from human and bovine were incubated in Krebs-glucose medium containing $^3H$-proline. After incubation the incubated periodontal ligaments were homogenized and the proteins were treated with 0.1%sodium dodecyl sulfate and $\beta$-mercaptoethanol. Separation of the protein fractions was performed with agarose gel column chromatography and SDS acrylamide gel electrophoresis. The results indicated as follow: 1. Only a small percentage of $^3H$-proline incorporated into proteins was hydroxylated to $^3H$-hydroxyproline. 2. The labeled proteins in periodontal ligaments showed a wide distribution of molecular weight. But only small amounts of labeled protein were found that were characteristics of the molecular weight of collagen. 3. In all of the combined fractions of gel filtration, the degree of hydroxylation was small.

  • Four isostructural amino-acid-based polyoxomolybdates, {$M(H_2O)_3(pro)Mo_4O_{13}$}$_2{\cdot}2H_2O$ (pro = proline, M = Co (1), Ni (2), Cu (3), Zn (4)), have been synthesized and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectrum, TG analysis. The structures of 1-4 are layered networks built up from {$Mo_8O_{26}(pro)_2$}$^{4-}$ units and {$M(H_2O)_3O_3$} octahedra, the uncoordinated water molecules occupying the interlayer regions.

  • Synthetic route has been developed for the synthesis of new (Z)-5-[4-(2-chloroquinolin-3-yl) methoxy]benzyl-idinethiazolidine-2,4-diones (6a-h) starting from 2-chloro-3-hydroxymethyl quinolines (2a-h). The hydroxy methyl quinolines on tosylation yielded (3a-h). Condensation of the tosyl intermediates with 4-hydroxy benzaldehydes has been carried in DMF in presence of $K_2CO_3$ and obtained 4-quinolinyl methoxy benzaldehydes (4a-h). Conveniently Knoevenagel condensation of quinolinyl methoxy benzaldehydes (4a-h) and 2, 4-thiazolidinedione (5) has been carried in PEG-400 in presence of L-proline and obtained better yields of the titled compounds (6a-h).

무당개구리 간의 아미노산 성분에 관한 연구 (Studies on Amino Acids in the Frog Liver (Bombina orientalis Boulenger))

  • Paper partition chromatography has been applied to estimate the amino acids in the liver of Bombina orientalis Boulenger. The results obtained are as follows : 1) The presence of cystine, serine, glycine, threonine, alanine, $\beta$-alanine, tyrosine, histidine, asparagine, tryptophane, methionine, valine, phenylalanine, leucine and an unknown substance has been demonstrated in the alcoholic extracts of the material. 2) The presence of glutamine, cystine, serine , glycine, arginine, threonine, histidine, alanine, methionine, proline, valine ,phenylalanine, leucine, and two unknown substances has been demonstrated in the acid-hydrolyzed liver. 3) Tyrosine, asparagine, and trypotphane have been demonstrated only in the alcoholic extract. 4) Proline, glutamine and arginine have been demonstrated only in the acid-jydrolyzed liver.

  • Contact lens 재료물질로 사용되어지는 poly(2 h hydroxyethylmethacrylate), poly (HEMA) 는 물을 약 45퍼센트 포함하여 수화젤(hydrogel)을 만들 수 있는 고분자 물질이다. Poly(HEMA)와 단백질의 구성물질인 수용성 아미노산(alanine, argmme, glycine, lysine, methionine, proline, serine)과의 상호작용력과 작용위치에 대한 실험을 FT - IR과 R Raman 분광법을 사용하여 행한 결과 Arg과 Lys 이 가장 크게 작용하였고, 작용크기는 각 pH에 따라 존재하는 이온종과 양에 관계되며, 작용위치는 주로 poly(HEMA) 내에 존재하는 히드록시기에서 일어났다.

  • Nuclei proteins were purified from chick liver to homogeneity by means of acid extraction CM Sephadex c 25 column chromatography and Bio Rex 70 column chromatography, The molecular weight of liver Nuclei proteins 1 and 2 as estimated by electrophoresis on SDS-polycrylamide gel are 29000 and 27,000 respectively. These molecular weights are identical with those of Nuclei Proteins 1 and 2 isolated from chick erythrocyte. The liver and erythrocyte Nuclei Proteins also co-migrated in acetic acid-urea gel electrophoresis. Furthermore the anti-sera raised against liver Nuclei Proteins 1 and 2 cross-reacted with erythrocyte Nuclei Proteins 1 and 2 respectively, However the amino acid compositions of liver Nuclei Prooteins 1 and 2 were found to be different from those of corresponding erythrocyte Nuclei proteins ; the contents of serine and proline in liver Nuclei proteins were higherocyte Nuclei proteins ; the contents of serine and proline in liver Nuclei protesins were higher than those in erythrocyte Nuclei proteins while the content of lycsine in liver Nuclei proteins was lower than the erythrocyte Nuclei proteins, These results suggest that in spite of similarities in many respects the liver and erythrocyte Nuclei proteins in chicks and different proteins.

황색종 잎담배의 숙성에 따른 아미노산의 조성 (Amino Acid Composition of Flue-cured Leaf Tobacco before and after the Aging)

  • The amino acid content and constitution of domestic flue-cured tobacco before and after the aging were investigated. The major amino acids of domestic flue -cured tobacco were histidine, serine, aspartic acid and proline and leucine, isoleucine and glycine were minority in them. Phenylalanine was the most changeable components through the aging. While the contents of tryptophan, sering and Proline which have herbaceous, harsh and bitter taste and aroma in smoke were reduced, tyrosine which adds smoothing and enhances smoke aroma was increased after the aging. The leaf tobacco aged at 4$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 days had a amino acid composition as good leaf tobacco storaged in natural condition for 2 years.
