날개꼴의 형상 최적화를 위한 유동방정식 영향 연구 (Influence of Flow Solvers On Airfoil Shape Optimization)

  • In the present paper, three types of the flow solvers were used to investigate the influence on the airfoil shape optimization. The adopted equations, i.e., Euler, thin layer Navier-Stokes and full Navier-Stokes ones. are solved using implicit LU-ADI decomposition scheme. The gradient projection method with the sinusoidal function was used as an optimization algorithm. The present numerical method was applied to the drag minimization problems under the initial shape of NACA0012 airfoils.

Magnetic dependence of cyclotron resonance in the electron-piezoelectric phonon interacting materials

  • Based on quantum transport theory, we investigated theoretically the magnetic field dependence of the quantum optical transition of quasi 2-dimensional Landau splitting system, in CdS and ZnO Through the analysis of the current work, we found the increasing properties of the cyclotron resonance line-profiles (CRLPs) which show the absorption power and the cyclotron resonance line-widths (CRLWs) with the magnetic field in CdS and ZnO We also found that that CRLWs, γtotal(B) of CdS < γtotal(B) of ZnO in the magnetic field region B < 15 Tesla.

  • 현대에는 모든 사물, 기기들이 인터넷으로 연결되고 네트워크를 통해 IoT 제품을 쉽게 접하면서 IoT 제품을 사용하고 있다. 사용자들의 편리성을 위하여 원격으로 IoT 제품을 직접 조작하지 않고 자동으로 조작할 수 있다. 사용자들이 IoT 제품을 이용하여 생활의 편리성을 향상하기 위한 다양한 연구개발이 진행되고 있다. 하지만 사용자의 편리성만을 추구하다 보니 보안적인 측면에서는 사용자의 개인정보 노출이 되는 심각한 문제가 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IoT 제품에 무아레 기술을 적용하는 방법을 제안하여 보안의 성능을 향상하고, 무아레 현상 방법인 그림자식 무아레, 영사식 무아레를 이용한 사용자 얼굴 인증으로 IoT 제품의 안전성을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 IoT 제품과 무아레 기술이 적용된 IoT 제품을 비교해 보면 무아레 기술이 적용된 IoT 제품이 보안적인 측면에서 안전하다.

Localizing Growth Model of Chamaecyparis obtusa Stands Using Dummy Variables in a Single Equation

  • This study was carried out to construct a single diameter and a single height model that could localize Chamaecyparis obtusa stand grown in 3 Southern regions of Korea. Dummy variables, which convert qualitative information such as geographical regions into quantitative information by means of a coding scheme (0 or 1), were used to localize growth models. In results, modified form of Gompertz equation, $Y_2={\exp}({\ln}(Y_1){\exp}(-{\beta}(T_2-T_1)+{\gamma}({T_2}^2-{T_1}^2))+({\alpha}+{\alpha}_1Al+{\beta}_1k_1+{\beta}_2k_2)(1-{\exp}(-{\beta}(T_2-T_1)+{\gamma}({T_2}^2-{T_1}^2))$, for diameter and height was successfully disaggregated to provide different projection equation for each of the 3 regions individually. The use of dummy variables on a single equation, therefore, provides potential capabilities for testing the justification of having different models for different sub-populations, where a number of site variables such as altitude, annual rainfall and soil type can be considered as possible variables to explain growth variation across regions.

지그비 기반 빔 프로젝터 자동 영상 교정 시스템 (Beam projector calibration System based on Zigbee)

  • 빔 프로젝터를 이용한 영상 시스템은 큰 화면을 쉽게 구성 할 수 있는 장점이 있지만 설치하는 과정에서 수동으로 왜곡을 보정하는 단계를 거쳐야 하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 왜곡 보정과정을 자동으로 수행할 수 있고, 간단한 하드웨어와 소프트웨어로 쉽게 구현 가능한 지그비 기반의 빔 프로젝터 자동 영상 교정 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템을 통해 스크린이 매우 다양한 각도로 뒤틀리는 환경에서도, 지그비 기반 센서 모듈을 이용하여 영상 투사 영역을 정확히 인지하여 최적의 투영 화면을 제공할 수 있다.

An improved Kalman filter for joint estimation of structural states and unknown loadings

  • The classical Kalman filter (KF) provides a practical and efficient way for state estimation. It is, however, not applicable when the external excitations applied to the structures are unknown. Moreover, it is known the classical KF is only suitable for linear systems and can't handle the nonlinear cases. The aim of this paper is to extend the classical KF approach to circumvent the aforementioned limitations for the joint estimation of structural states and the unknown inputs. On the basis of the scheme of the classical KF, analytical recursive solution of an improved KF approach is derived and presented. A revised form of observation equation is obtained basing on a projection matrix. The structural states and the unknown inputs are then simultaneously estimated with limited measurements in linear or nonlinear systems. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed approach is verified via a five-story shear building, a simply supported beam, and three sorts of nonlinear hysteretic structures. The shaking table tests of a five-story building structure are also employed for the validation of the robustness of the proposed approach. Numerical and experimental results show that the proposed approach can not only satisfactorily estimate structural states, but also identify unknown loadings with acceptable accuracy for both linear and nonlinear systems.

  • In this paper, authors propose the sensor fusion system that can recognize multiple 3D objects from 2D projection images and tactile information. The proposed system focuses on improving recognition performance of 3D object. Unlike the conventional object recognition system that uses image sensor alone, the proposed method uses tactual sensors in addition to visual sensor. Neural network is used to fuse these informations. Tactual signals are obtained from the reaction force by the pressure sensors at the fingertips when unknown objects are grasped by four-fingered robot hand. The experiment evaluates the recognition rate and the number of teaming iterations of various objects. The merits of the proposed systems are not only the high performance of the learning ability but also the reliability of the system with tactual information for recognizing various objects even though visual information has a defect. The experimental results show that the proposed system can improve recognition rate and reduce learning time. These results verify the effectiveness of the proposed sensor fusion system as recognition scheme of 3D object.

  • Human being recognizes the physical world by integrating a great variety of sensory inputs, the information acquired by their own action, and their knowledge of the world using hierarchically parallel-distributed mechanism. In this paper, authors propose the sensor fusion system that can recognize multiple 3D objects from 2D projection images and tactile informations.   • A LCoS micro-display using polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs) for light switching layer was fabricated. The Si backplane of SVGA ($800{\times}600$) with a pixel size of $14{\times}14mm^2$ was prepared by a $0.35{\mu}m$ 18V CMOS process. PDLCs were filled in the gap between backplane and ITO glass by conventional vacuum filling method. The prepared panels were driven by a field sequential color (FSC) scheme at the frequency of 180Hz and were successful in modulating LED lights to show projection images. The preparation and performance of PDLC-LCoS are presented.

디지털 단층합성 X-선 영상의 화질개선을 위한 TV-압축센싱 기반 영상복원기법 연구 (Compressed-sensing (CS)-based Image Deblurring Scheme with a Total Variation Regularization Penalty for Improving Image Characteristics in Digital Tomosynthesis (DTS))

  • 본 연구에서는 디지털 단층합성 엑스선 영상의 화질특성을 개선하기 위해 TV-압축센싱 기반 영상복원 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 영상복원 기법의 유효성을 검증하기 위해 우선 관련 영상복원 알고리즘을 구현하였으며, 이를 이용하여 관련 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 함께 수행하였다. 실험을 위해 일반 x-선관($90kV_p$, 6 mAs), CMOS형 평판형 검출기($198{\mu}m$ 픽셀크기)로 구성된 실험장치를 구성하였으며, 제한된 각도 $60^{\circ}$도에서 $2^{\circ}$ 간격으로 총 51장의 투상영상을 획득하고 제안된 알고리즘으로 영상복원을 수행한 후 필터링 역투사법(FBP)을 사용하여 디지털 단층합성 영상을 구현하였다. 본 연구에서 수행된 결과에 의하면, 제안된 영상복원 기법은 일반 엑스선 영상 및 디지털 단층합성 영상의 흐린 영상화질을 선명하게 개선하고 또한 디지털 단층합성 영상의 깊이 분해능을 향상시키는 이점이 있음을 확인함으로써 기존 디지털 단층합성 영상의 화질을 크게 개선할 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.
