Research suggests that medical students frequently experience mental health problems such as stress, burnout, and depression, which may, in turn, affect suicidal ideation and behaviors. Since mental health problems profoundly impact academic achievement and professionalism, it is vital to understand factors influencing students' mental health and identify strategies to provide the necessary support. Some relevant influencing factors range from the personal level, including gender, personality traits, perfectionism, and social support, to the environmental level, including the grading system, educational phases, exposure to patients' death, mistreatment, and culture of medicine. In this regard, a comprehensive mental health support system that encompasses environmental interventions, as well as personal-level support, is needed. Simultaneously, proactive approaches that address the improvement of self-care and alleviation of systemic burdens are essential, together with the predominant reactive approaches focusing on problems and deficits. Altogether, we proposed a framework for enhancing mental health constructed by four categories (personal-reactive, environmental-reactive, personal-proactive, environmental-proactive) based on the intervention level and goal of support. All four categories have important implications, and one cannot replace the other, but expanding environmental-proactive support will allow more students to learn how to pursue health independently. We expect that this comprehensive framework for enhancing mental health could expand support systems for medical students' personal and professional development.

This study was conducted to determine factors affecting professionalism of community health practitioners (CHPs). The participants in this study were 153 community health practitioners working in G province with structured self-report questionnaires from 20 August to 25 September 2017. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANONA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS 20.0 program. There were statistically significant differences according to income (F=6.951, p<.001), work experience (F=5.245, p=0.002) and motivation for choosing a community health practitioner (F=3.676, p=0.004). The highest related factors were job satisfaction (${\beta}=0.320$, p<0.001), individual disposition (${\beta}=0.291$, p<0.001), income (${\beta}=0.283$, p<0.001) and job continuance (${\beta}=0.176$, p=0.009). These variables explained 49.6% of the total variance in professionalism. These findings suggest that it is necessary to develop a convergence program and policy support at the individual and organizational level to strengthen the professionalism of community health practitioners.

Professionalizing the teaching workforce has been recognized as one of the primary factors to reforming public education. In response to this challenge, it has been emphasized that an educational leader's role is to support professional learning communities more effectively. Although the academia of educational administration has increasingly drawn the significance of a teacher's professional development, understanding of an educational leader's role and contribution to this effort is quite limited and unclear. This article examines what factors and barriers affect teachers' participation in professional learning communities from the voices and experiences of teachers. The analysis found 1) identification, 2) autonomous will, 3) practical solution for factors to participation and 1) lack of theoretical foundation, 2) financial burden, 3) insufficient time for barriers to participation. In conclusion, the author suggests the strategies for an educational leader who has an important role in developing a teacher's professionalism: 1) create a strong network of university professors and other experts for career advice, 2) make an institutional effort to stimulate teachers' motivation to learn; 3) decrease the teachers' workload, 4) build a synthesized and consolidated system to establish communities.
