소 MC1R 우성흑모색 대립인자를 구분하는 변형 프라이머를 이용한 소 품종들의 유전자형 분포 분석 (Analysis of the Genotype Distribution in Cattle Breeds Using a Double Mismatched Primer Set that Discriminates the MC1R Dominant Black Allele)

  • 소의 모색 발현에 결정적인 역할을 수행하며 Extension 좌위에 암호화되어 있는 melanocortin- 1 receptor(MC1R) 유전자형을 변형된 염기서열이 증폭되게 제작된 이중 mismatch primer 쌍을 이용하여 PCR-RFLP 방법으로 분석하였다. 증폭된 PCR 절편들은 MC1R 유전자에서 모색 표현형과 직접적으로 연관되어 있어 중요하게 다루어지고 있는 세 가지 대립인자들(ED, E+, e)로 MspI-과 AluI-RFLP에 의해 성공적으로 구분되었다. MC1R 유전자형의 분포를 조사한 결과 제주흑우는 세 가지 대립인자가 모두 출현하였고, 황-적모색의 한우와 호피문의 칡소에서는 흑모색우성 대립인자 ED가 출현하지 않았다. 반면, 우성흑모색으로 알려진 두 소 품종 Holstein과 Angus는 ED 대립인자의 빈도가 96% 이상으로 조사되었다. 한우×Holstein F1과 한우×Angus F1은 모두 ED/e의 유전자형을 나타내었고, 표현형은 전신 흑색으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 고안한 이중 mismatch primer 쌍을 이용한 MC1R 유전자 증폭 절편에 대한 MspI-과 AluI-RFLP 조합은 소의 품종 특성 규명과 품종 식별에서 매우 중요한 유전자 표지인자 중 하나인 MC1R 유전자의 세 가지 대립인자를 식별하는 데 유용한 실험기법이 될 것으로 사료된다.

지역 활성화를 위한 랜드마크 개발 (A Study on the Landmark for Regional Revitalization)

  • 랜드마크는 지역을 대표하는 이미지로서, 그 곳을 방문하는 관광객에게 지역의 특징을 인식시키기 때문에, 각 지방자치단체에서는 상징적인 랜드마크 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구는 지역 활성화를 위한 랜드마크 개발에 대한 사례를 연구함으로써, 향후 랜드마크를 개발하고 이를 통해 새로운 관광 상품 및 관광 진흥 정책을 개발을 위한 기본지침으로 활용되기를 기대한다. 본 연구를 위해서 현지조사지로서 일본 아오모리 현을 대상하였고, 현지조사와 문헌조사가 병용되었다. 일본은 오래전부터 다양한 관광정책의 수립을 통하여 지방의 국제화 및 활성화를 모색해 왔다. 특히, 아오모리 현은 개발이 늦어진 농촌지역의 관광산업을 발전시키기 위하여 랜드마크를 중심으로 관광 상품과 문화 공간 개발을 통한 지역 활성화를 꾀하였다. 아오모리 현의 사례를 바탕으로, 성공적인 랜드마크 개발을 위한 조건을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 랜드마크의 상징성이나 디자인을 결정함에 있어서 해당 지역에 대한 충분한 이해와 조사가 실행되어야 하며, 시간과 비용을 투자해야 한다. 둘째, 랜드마크로의 접근성을 고려해야 하며, 주변 환경이 랜드마크와 더불어 관광요소로 작용될 수 있어야 한다. 셋째, 랜드마크의 방문가치를 높이기 위해서 편의시설 및 다양한 프로그램의 지속적인 운영 및 관리를 통해 랜드마크 내 외부에서 다양한 즐길거리, 볼거리를 제공하는 것이 중요하다.

진공동결건조기를 이용하여 반건조 오디를 제조하는 방법 (A making the method of semi-dried mulberry fruit by vacuum freezing dryer)

  • 가공 중 파괴되기 쉬운 여러 가지 기능성 성분과 오디 고유의 맛, 향 및 형태를 그대로 유지한 말랑말랑한 반건조 오디를 제조함으로써 오디 자체를 식용 또는 식품(빵, 떡, 한과 등) 재료로서의 이용성, 실온 보관 및 유통 편리성을 향상시키고자 하였다. 영하 $40^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 보관한 오디를 내부 온도를 $30{\sim}35^{\circ}C$ 사이로 맞춰 놓은 동결건조기에 넣고 23 ~ 24시간 동안 진공상태에서 건조시킴으로써 오디는 열매끼리 뭉치지 않고 한 알씩 분리되며, 만졌을 때 손에 검은 색이 묻어나지 않는다. 특히 안토시아닌 색소인 C3G을 비롯해 루틴(rutin), 가바(GABA), 레스베라트롤(resveratrol) 등의 다양한 기능성 성분과 오디 고유의 맛, 향, 형태를 그대로 유지할 수 있다. 반건조 오디의 경우 수확 후 냉동보관에 필요한 시설유지비(전기료 등)가 들지 않으며, 건조 후 1년 정도 실온 보관이 가능하므로 수송유통이 편리함은 물론 연중 상시 구매가 가능하다. 또한 반건조 오디 생산에 걸리는 시간은 약 23 ~ 24시간으로 완전 건조 오디 생산 시 걸리는 시간(48시간)보다 절반가량 짧아 농가의 가공비용을 줄일 수 있다. 단순 가공제품과 더불어 반건조 오디를 직접 식용 또는 다양한 식재료에 활용함으로써 다양한 오디의 영양성분과 기능성 성분의 섭취를 통해 국민건강증진은 물론 소비확산을 통한 농가소득 향상에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 기업들도 기업윤리의 중요성을 인식하고 바람직한 방향의 윤리적 발전을 모색하기 위해 대기업인 건설사의 윤리적 특성요인에 관한 이론적 접근과 이들의 특성에 관한 논의를 바탕으로 하여 윤리적 특성요인들과 기업의 경쟁력 간에 미치는 영향을 탐색 하고자 하였다. 또한 연구배경 및 필요성에서 제기한 바를 바탕으로 연구모형을 설정하고 조사와 분석을 통해 대기업(도급순위50위권이내)인 건설사회 윤리적 특성요인이 기업경쟁력에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 직무의 만족도와 직무의 몰입도를 규명하고자 한다. 본 연구의 범위로는 국내외 선행연구에서 기업윤리가 영향을 미치는 요소들을 찾아보고 종속변수인 기업경쟁력도 국내외 선행연구에서 품질경쟁력, 가격경쟁력, 발주자와 고객과 사회에 대한책임, 공정 경쟁력으로 각각 나누고 직무의 만족도와 몰입도의 관계를 연구의 개념적 틀에 의하여 설정된 연구가설을 검증 후 결론과 제언을 내리는 방식으로 연구를 진행하였다.윤리적 특성요인인 도덕적 역량, 윤리경영 실천의지, 공정 투명성, 고객과 사회 책임이 강하면 품질 경쟁력에 대한 경쟁력도 높아지는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한, 윤리적 특성요인인 윤리경영 실천의지, 공정 투명성, 고객과 사회 책임이 높아지면 가격 경쟁력도 높아지는 것을 나타났으며, CEO 윤리경영 실천의지, 공정 투명성이 높을수록 품질 경쟁력도 높아지고 CEO 윤리경영 실천의지, 고객과 사회 책임이 강할수록 품질 경쟁력도 높아지고, 순이익 증가율, 경쟁력 강화, 공정경쟁력이 높아지면 직무만족도도 높아지는 것을 알 수 있고 촉진 경쟁력, 공정경쟁력이 직무몰입을 하는 데에도 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Dietary source of vitamin $B_{12}$ intake and vitamin $B_{12}$ status in female elderly Koreans aged 85 and older living in rural area

  • Recently, we found and analyzed vitamin $B_{12}$ in some Korean traditional plant foods which had not reported, yet. This study was to investigate vitamin $B_{12}$ intake and its dietary sources and the vitamin $B_{12}$ status in the very old elderly Koreans. We measured serum vitamin $B_{12}$ level and estimated the amounts of vitamin $B_{12}$ intake from different dietary sources in female elderly Koreans aged 85 and over who had consumed a relatively low animal traditional diet for the whole life. The average age of the subjects (n = 127) was 98.0 years (85-108 years). The assessment on energy and nutrient intake involved a one-day 24-hour recall, and serum vitamin $B_{12}$ concentration was measured by radioimmunoassay. Overall diet pattern was not different between the 85-99 yr-old group and centenarians, except centenarians were taking more dairy product. The average ratio of plant food to animal food consumption was 87.5:12.5 in weight. The average vitamin $B_{12}$ intake of our subjects was 3.2 ${\mu}g$, and 52.7% of subjects consumed under estimated average requirement, 2.0 ${\mu}g$/day. On dietary source, 67.3% of dietary vitamin $B_{12}$ was from meat, eggs and fishes and 30.6% was from plant foods, such as soybean-fermented foods, seaweeds, and kimchi. The average serum vitamin $B_{12}$ concentration was 450.5 pg/mL, and low serum vitamin $B_{12}$ (< 200 pg/mL) was found in 9.6% of subjects. Dietary vitamin $B_{12}$ intake was significantly lower in subjects with low serum vitamin $B_{12}$ (0.79 ${\mu}g$/day) than those with normal serum vitamin $B_{12}$ (3.47 ${\mu}g$/day). There were no significant difference in vitamin $B_{12}$ intake and its dietary sources and serum vitamin $B_{12}$ level between the 85-99 yr- old group and centenarians. In conclusion, several plant-origin foods including seaweed, soybean-fermented foods, and kimchi, may contribute significantly to good vitamin $B_{12}$ status in very old elderly Koreans.

친환경농산물 선택기준이 구매의도에 미치는 영향 : 소비자 태도와 신뢰의 매개, 조절효과를 중심으로 (Effects of Selection Criteria for Eco-Friendly Agricultural Products on Purchase Intention)

  • Purpose - This study investigated the effects of consumers' selection criteria for environment-friendly agricultural products on purchase intention and the effects of consumers' attitudes and the reliability of environment-friendly agricultural products on purchase intention by using the theory of planned behavior. Subjective norms of variables of behavioral intention, attitudes toward behavior and control of the behavior were used to create selection criteria, consumers' attitudes and reliability of environment-friendly agricultural products. The study investigated the effects of consumers' selection criteria, attitudes, and reliability of environment-friendly agricultural products on purchase intention constructing models and hypotheses of mediation and moderation between selection criteria for agricultural products and purchase intention by consumers' attitudes and reliability. Research design, data, and methodology - The findings were as follows: first, consumers' selection criteria for environment-friendly agricultural products had a significantly affirmative influence upon purchase intention. Health was the most important factor of selection criteria convenience was more important than quality and familiarity was next. Consumers' attitudes and trust had a significant influence on purchase intention. Second, testing showed that consumers' attitude and trust partially mediated selection criteria: sub-factors and purchase intention were important in selection criteria. Third, testing showed that consumers' attitude and trust had a significant moderation effect between selection criteria and purchase intention. In the test of the moderation effect between sub-factors of selection criteria and purchase intention, consumers' attitude had a significantly positive influence upon health, convenience, and familiarity, and had no significant influence upon quality and purchase intention. Consumers' trust had no significant influence upon health, convenience, and quality. Results - The study provided several theoretical implications: first, an empirical analysis was undertaken with selection criteria for environmental-friendly agricultural products, consumers' attitude, and trust to investigate subjective norms, attitude toward behavior and control of behavior based on the theory of planned behavior. Second, this study investigated both the mediation effect and moderation effect of consumers' subjective norms on attitudes toward behavior, the mediating effects of perceived behavior control and changes of behavioral intention depending upon size and direction of the variables. This study also provided several practical implications. Conclusions - First, consumption of environment-friendly agricultural products did not increase despite rapid increase of production therefore, promotion of consumption and distribution was needed considering the supply and demand of the products. Second, definite standards for selection criteria were suggested to build up consumers' attitude and trust. Consumers' attitude could be improved by factors including the brand of environment-friendly agricultural products, consistent quality, solving physiological problems caused by adverse effects of environmental problems, supplementary approaches, treatment of adverse effects by eating food, and the development and supply of products in accordance with changes of lifestyle. Finally, consumers' demand for sub-factors of selection criteria could be much higher than health, convenience, and quality of the products. Therefore, a process was needed that could continuously check consumers' needs for the products. Limitations were described at the end of the study.

소매업체의 글로벌 확장전략과 공급사슬관리에 관한 연구: 메트로 그룹을 중심으로 (A Study on the Retailer's Global Expansion Strategy and Supply Chain Management : Focus on the Metro Group)

  • Purpose - The structure of retailing has changed as retailers develop markets in response to business environment changes. This study aims to analyze the general situation of retailers in order to predict future global strategy using case studies of overseas expansion strategy and the Metro Group's global strategy. Research design, data, and methodology - The backgrounds to the new retail business model and retailer classification are analyzed as theoretical data. In addition, the key success point of the Metro Group's "cash and carry" strategy is analyzed as is the Metro Group's global CFAR (collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment) strategy. Finally, the plan for cooperation and precise forecasting under the Metro Group's supply chain management are analyzed from the promotion environment viewpoint. Related materials analyzed included the 2012 annual report, the Metro Group's web page, and a video interview with the executive in charge of global strategy and the new market development department. Some data were revised to avoid disrupting essential aspects of the case studies. Results - The important finding was that the Metro Group could be a world-class retail company with its successful global expansion strategy. The Metro Group's global strategy's primary goal is to have a leading business position in Eastern and Western Europe. The "cash and carry" strategy is highest priority in its overseas expansion strategy. Moreover, the Metro Group has standardized product planning capacity, which could be applied in various countries with different structural and cultural backgrounds. This is the main reason that the Metro Group could rapidly become successful in the Eastern Europe and Asian markets through its structural overseas expansion strategies. In addition, the Metro Group emphasizes the importance of supply chain management. Conclusions - First, retailers should create additional value through utilizing the domestic market, market power, and economies of scale to launch a global strategy to maximize benefits from diversification. Second, the political, economic, and cultural background of the target country needs to be understood to successfully implement the overseas expansion strategy. Third, the main factor of successful cooperation with a local partner is how quickly the company gains total understanding of the business resources and core competence of its partner. All organizations should focus on the achievement of goals in order to successfully operate the partnership. Fourth, retailers should improve their business, financial and organizational structure. Moreover, the work processes and company culture should also be improved to respond strongly in the competitive global market. Fifth, the essential point of a successful retail business is the control capacity of its branding and format. The retailer could avoid forecasting errors through supply chain management by perfectly distributing the actual amount of its inventory. In addition, the risks along the supply chain are effectively shared between the supply chain partners. Finally, the central tendency of the market is to gain in strength with this taking place across all parts of the business.

종모우 정액중 Brucella균 신속 검출을 위한 PCR기법 개발 (Development of PCR assay for the detection of Brucella spp in bovine semen)

  • The diagnosis of brucellosis is currently based on serological and microbiological tests. However, the microbiological isolation and identification have several disadvantages such as time-consuming and laborious, and the serological methods have been reported to cross-react with antigens other than those from Brucella spp. To develop a sensitive and rapid diagnostic method for detection of Brucella species, the genus-specific primers were designed and synthesized from the sequence of gene encoding a 31kDa cell surface protein(BCSP) and a 36kDa outer membrane protein(OMPB) of B abortus. The amplified 711bp and 982bp DNA fragments were only visible in each species of Brucella by PCR method using the BCSP and OMPB primers, respectively. However, PCR product was not obtained with DNA from other Gram-negative bacteria. As little as 1pg of the B abortus genomic DNA could be detected by this PCR method. Using the PCR technique, semen samples from 185 bulls of Brucella-seronegative herds in Cheju island were examined for comparison of this PCR method with conventional methods in 1995. The semen samples from 5 bulls were positive by culture method and PCR, and one was positive and 5 were suspect by semen plasma agglutination test. However, the semen samples obtained from 177 bulls were negative by semen plasma agglutination, culture and PCR methods in 1996. The results of comparison tests suggested that PCR was a better test than agglutination test against semen of bulls. This study indicated that the PCR technique was a valuable for the diagnosis of bovine brucellosis, particulary in bull semens.

해양레포츠 확산을 위한 마리나항만 개발과 활성화 전략 (A Study on the Development and Activation of Marina Port for the Expansion of the Marine Leisure Sports)

  • 세계는 자연친화적인 해양레저스포츠에 대한 관심이 증대하고 있다. 해양자원의 합리적인 관리 및 활용에 대한 인식변화와 국민들의 여가시간 증가로 인한 레저활동의 폭이 넓어지고 있다. 이런 해양레포츠에 마리나항만은 중대한 영향을 미치게 되며, 본 연구는 마리나항만에 대하여 실태와 과제를 살펴보았다. 우리나라는 이제 마리나항만의 개발을 위한 1차 기본계획을 세우고 각 지역마다 개발을 위해 노력하고 있다. 우리 현실은 마리나에 대한 관심도는 높으나 정작 마리나 시설을 개발하고 운영하기 위한 구체적 대안과 준비는 소홀한 실정이다. 해양레포츠를 전략산업으로 지정하여 마리나항만 개발과 연계하거나 해양레저산업단지를 구축하는 등의 거시적 정책도 필요하다. 이 연구는 해양레포츠의 확산을 위해 마리나항만을 어떻게 합리적으로 개발하며, 그 시설을 활성화시키기 위해 어떤 전략이 요구되는가를 제안하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 선행연구들을 참고하여 마리나항만이 제공하는 서비스의 활성화 전략을 크게 두 가지 측면에서 접근하였다. 먼저 정책적 측면에서 관련 법과 제도 등을 고려한 활성화 방안으로 개발 및 운영측면으로 각각 5개 대안을 제시하였다. 다른 측면으로는 마리나항만 서비스를 마케팅의 4Ps로 파악하고 이를 활성화하는 전략대안으로 Product(제품), Price(가격), Place(유통), Promotion(촉진)으로 구분하여 전략을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 아직 충분이 확대되지 않는 마리나항만의 활성화 대안을 전문가들의 지식과 경험 등을 토대로 이론적으로 탐색하였으나, 현장의 실천적 조사와 이용자의 태도 등을 근거로 한 심도 있는 연구들이 향후에 더 진행될 필요가 있다고 본다.

A Study on the Strategic Vitalization Plan of Korean Integrated Medical Tourism

  • Objectives: As a newcomer to the medical tourism industry, Korea needs to differentiate itself from the leading competing countries to vitalize its early-stage medical tourism industry. This study aims to introduce a strategic plan to vitalize the Korean integrated medical tourism so that Korea can differentiate itself from competing countries and create high added value. Methods: The concept and actual conditions of medical tourism and Oriental medical tourism were examined. A plan to differentiate Korea from the competing countries in the medical tourism industry was studied to create high added-value through strategic vitalization of its medical tourism industry. Results: Korean integrated medical tourism must be developed differently from those of other South-East Asian countries in order to strategically promote the cash-cow medical tourism industry. In order to develop such medical tourism, Korean medical practice, which integrates Western and Oriental medicine, is to be developed through mutual understanding and fusion of other disciplines among medical doctors and Oriental medical doctors who are working in local healthcare for health promotion of local residents and disease prevention and control. This will play a key role in developing a unique medical tourism product of Korea by means of strategic alliances as an integrated medicine. Manpower specialized for integrated medicine is to be specially supplied for Oriental medicine-related business lines at city, county and borough levels, among local governments, that are enthusiastically carrying forward Oriental medical tourism with an interest to promoting more active and strategic business development and raise the effectiveness and efficiency of public health centers handling related medical tourism. Manpower specialized for Korean integrated medical tourism is to be specially supplied for the Ministry of Culture, Health and Tourism, a policy control tower to develop and vitalize high value-added fusion (theme) tourism products such as the Korean integrated medical tourism, in order to discover, promote and support Korean integrated medical tourism's differences from existing medical tourism. Conclusions: The differentiated integrated medical tourism that only Korea can offer in a variety of forms, in order to create a key area of high value-added medical tourism, should be strategically vitalized through a liaison between integrated medicine and tourism and the realization of patient-centered health care services with medical technology developed based on mutual understanding of Western and Oriental medicine.
