제품 특성과 B2C 차별화 전략의 실증 분석 (Empirical Analysis on Product Based Differentiation Strategies in B2C industry)

  • Differentiation strategies have been suggested as the critical sources of competitive advantage in B2C industry where customers can switch internet shopping mall with one click with virtually no transaction cost. Indeed, competition on low pricing cannot be a viable strategy in B2C industry. Moreover, cultivating customer loyalty to attain profitability is still a challenging task for most internet shopping mall. In this study, we provide empirical analysis results on key managerial variables that indicate the difference between the product categories in terms of customer perception on relative value importance. We first identified comprehensive managerial variables and organized them in terms of customer decision stage. Next, with reference to extant literatures on product characteristics based e-commerce strategy, hypotheses are developed to formalize the customer value differences on the key managerial variables. Empirical testing results indicated that there are significant differences on customer perceived value of the key managerial variables between the product groups. The findings provide useful insight for further study on e-commerce differentiation strategy.

유통기업 종업원의 윤리의식과 윤리적 가치에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Employee's Ethical Perception and Ethical Value of Distribution Corporate)

  • 본 연구는 국내 할인점과 외국계 할인점에 종사하고 있는 종업원들의 윤리의식과 기업의 윤리적 가치에 관해 분석하였다. 지금까지 외국 기업에 비해 윤리경영에 대한 인식이 상대적으로 낮고 도입시기도 늦었지만, 분석결과 국내 할인점 종업원들의 윤리의식이 외국계 할인점에 종사하는 종업원들 보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기업의 윤리적 가치에 관해서도 국내 할인점이 외국계 할인점보다 높게 나타났다. 이는 그동안 국내의 각 기업들이 윤리 현장, 윤리경영강령과 같은 윤리경영의 실천을 위해 많은 노력을 기울여온 결과로써 종업원들의 윤리의식 뿐만 아니라 자신의 기업이 윤리적 가치를 중시한다는 것을 느낀 결과라고 할 수 있다.

Analysis of Learning Experience on Team-based Technology Design Project of Non-Engineering Students

  • The design project of a technology product provides an opportunity for students to experience the inter-connectedness of academic information and ill-defined real-world problems. This study focuses on non-engineering students' activity and perception through the assistive technology design project. For this purpose, participants engaged in a team-based technology design project. Then, a qualitative research approach was adopted, which included reflective journals with 24 undergraduate students majored in Adaptive Physical Education. The analysis identified six factors (knowledge value, social value, reality value, accomplishment value, perspective value, benefit value) of perception and five stages (topic selection, function suggestion, visualization, presentation preparation, and presentation) of activity.

  • As the gap between competing products narrows in terms of performance and quality, the product usability is rapidly becoming a new dimension of product design as the key to offering distinctive value to the customer. Because the user interface is important, not only for the user but also for the efficiency of te whole organiation, system designers require increasingly precise evaluation methods to determine how effective and usable human-product interface is. In this study a new methodology named usability analysis diagram(UAD), for evaluating usability of human-product interface systematically, was developed. UAD is a top-down flow diaagram of a human-product interaction, in ehichfour basic elements - perception, understanding, intellectual decision and action - were classified and then represented by a particular symbol for each. The usability of the product is assessed by the frequency of each symbol in a diagram which represents a sequence of cognitive and physical activities of users during the use of the product, and by the level of difficulty that is classif- ied in three levels in terms of easiness of perception, understanding and action. In order to test validity of the proposed UAD in a real situation, a case study was performed on two different cameras, automatic and manual, and their usability was successfully evaluated and compared.

한국대학생들의 상품정보인식에 대한 문화와 인구통계학적 요인들의 영향 (The Effect of Cultural and Demographic Factors on the Perception of Product Information among Korean College Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 문화와 인구통계학적특성(나이와 성별)의 상품정보인식에 대한 영향을 조사하는 것이다. 연구에 사용된 문화이론은 Hofstede의 Individualism과 Hall의 context이론이다. 연구결과, 한국학생들은 아직도 집단주의(collectivism) 성향을 보이지만, 한국의 젊은 세대에서 문화적 변화가 발생하고 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 상관관계 분석결과를 통해 비교적 나이 어린 학생들이 나이 많은 학생들보다 더욱 개인주의(individualism)의 성향을 보였다. 두 세트(고맥락과 저맥락상황)의 다중회귀분석의 결과, 문화적특성과 나이가 고맥락(비쥬얼) 상황에서 정보인식에 영향을 미치는 결과를 확인하였다. 하지만 성별에 따른 정보인식의 차이는 없었다.

의류제품의 E-충성도 형성 과정과 소비자만족 (E-loyalty formation process and satisfaction for apparel products)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationships between e-loyalty formation process and satisfaction for apparel products by testing the research model developing upon prior researches, and to analyze the differences of the structural model between two groups (high satisfaction group and low satisfaction group). A total of 356 respondents participated through a convenience sampling at universities in Busan. Data were analyzed by a structural equation model analysis. The results were as followings: First, for the structural model, the attributes of shopping malls (e.g., e-store attributes and product attributes) affected consumer satisfaction which influenced the e-loyalty of shopping malls, mediated by value perception. Second, high-satisfaction group evaluated more importantly the attributes of shopping malls, higher perceived the value of products and web sites, more satisfied the mall, and had greater loyalty of online shopping malls than low-satisfaction group. Third, there were significant differences between high-satisfaction group and low-satisfaction group in the e-loyalty model for apparels. Specifically, for high-satisfaction group, the e-store attributes were more likely to influence the value perception of products and web sites than low-satisfaction group, while low-satisfaction group was the higher perceived the value of products, the more they satisfied and then the greater e-loyalty respectively. According to the findings, the implications and future suggestions related to e-loyalty of shopping malls for apparels are provided.

The Effect of Post-Purchase Discount Format on Consumers' Perception of Loss and Willingness to Return

  • Price discount is one of the commonly used promotion strategies to increase sales and revenue. If a discount is perceived before the purchase (i.e., pre-purchase discount), consumers are likely to perceive it as a potential gain. If it is noticed after making a regular-priced purchase (i.e., post-purchase discount), consumers may develop negative emotions and attitudes. Based on the rising transparency and omnipresence of price and discount information through web and mobile platforms, we attempt to tackle an understudied topic on the negative effect of post-purchase price discount. Specifically, post-purchase discount information may increase consumers' perception of monetary loss, which may affect consumers' decision to return the product, potentially increasing the operating costs borne by retailers. Based on a close scrutinization of the current market environment and previous academic literature, we suggest a novel conceptual framework to understand consumers' perception, attitude, and behavior (perception of loss, willingness to return) upon perceiving various formats of discount promotion (absolute value vs. percentage discount) posterior to the purchase of a product. We also look at the effect of price level (low-priced vs. high-priced). For marketing practitioners, we intend to suggest optimal promotion formats that can alleviate consumers' negative perceptions and prevent additional operation costs.

소비자의 가격태도와 위험지각에 따른 의류할인점 선택행동에 관한 연구 (The Study of Consumer's Clothing Discount Store Selection Behavior by Their Price Attitude and Risk Perception)

  • The purpose of this study is examine how price attitude and risk perception affect6 consumer's attitude to clothing discount stores. As for the methods of the research 313 female consumers who just finished shopping at discount stores were interviewed and questioned. The result is as the following. 1. The factors such as discount price inclination effective value inclination price-quality association and price-social grade association in the price attitude as well as social psychological risk and the risk of losing opportunity in the risk perception affected consumer's attitude to clothing discount store. 2. The domestic national brand discount store acquired the highest scores in all factors but discount inclination factor and low price inclination factor. No difference was seen between stores in terms of the risk perception. 3. The determining factors for repurchase intention were found to be store satisfaction and the attitude to clothing discount store. 4. The convenience of transportation the availability of exchange or repair the payment option the quality of the product and the attributes of the store e, g, good quality with relatively low price affected the store satisfaction. 5. Domestic national brand discount store showed higher score in 'good quality with relatively low price' than domestic casual brand discount store did. And difference between groups was found in repurchase intention, Conclusively most consumers using clothing discount stores are effective value-oriented.

서울과 강원지역 학생들의 육가공품에 대한 인식 및 섭취 조사 (A Survey on the Perception and Consumption of Processed Meat Products by Students in Seoul and Gangwon Province)

  • In this study the perception and consumption of processed meat products by students in food service schools was investigated. The total number of subjects in Seoul and Gangwon province used for this survey was 569. The most preferred processed meat product for students was the fried pork cutlet(17.7%), followed by bacon(11.4%), ham(7.9%) and sausage(7.6%). The main reasons for the consumption of these processed meat products were 'good taste'(52.5%), 'convenience in eating'(18.8%) and 'as the parent buy'(18.8%). The preference for the processed meat products had a relatively high perception value(4.0). However, the effect of consuming processed meat products on nutrition and health had a relatively low perception value(2.9). Reasons for distrusting the processed meat products were attributed to 'bad influence by media'(25.9%) and the 'unsanitary manufacture'(23.6%). In regards to the question about sodium nitrite, most of the students(56.2%) replied that they had 'never heard of it' or 'didn't know it well'. In conclusion, an improvement in public information would be a prerequisite for expanding wholesome use of processed meat products.

대학생의 생태관광 인식이 행동의도 및 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Ecotourism Perception on Behavior Intention and Satisfaction of University Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 생태관광에 대한 가치인식이 행동의도 및 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인식적 가치, 감정적 가치, 기능적 가치의 모든 생태관광 가치 인식 요인은 만족도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인식적 가치, 감정적 가치, 기능적 가치의 모든 생태관광 인식요인은 행동의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 생태관광에 대한 인식이 높을수록 생태관광 만족도와 행동의도가 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었으나, 서비스 및 품질, 프로그램 등으로 이루어진 기능적 가치는 다른 요인에 비해 상대적으로 영향을 적게 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 생태관광 상품 만족도 및 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 각각의 생태관광 가치인식 요소에 대해 대응할 수 있는 접근성 높은 주말상품 개발, 지속가능한 간광상품개발 등 다양한 마케팅 전략과 교육프로그램 등이 개발되어야 할 것이다.
