  • The generalized inverses have many important applications in the aspects of theoretic research and numerical computations and therefore they were studied by many authors. In this paper we get some necessary and sufficient conditions of the forward order law for {1}-inverse of multiple matrices products $A\;=\;A_1A_2{\cdots}A_n$ by using the maximal rank of generalized Schur complement.

  • Purpose - This study illustrates research product industrial engineering, which needs to be promoted to encourage knowledge intensive businesses. Research traditions related to industrial business products and a fuzzy multi criteria decision approach in technology management for product design industries have undergone continuous changes over time. However, there is no clarity on the present situation, and there is a need to reform business enterprises. Research design, data, and methodology - Using fuzzy theory and appraising multi-goal plans, the manner of promoting the competitive advantage of industrial businesses is analyzed using a case study. In the case study, various aspects are examined, such as product design and manufacture, fuzzy set decisions with multi attribute policy making, flaws in the present system, and a review of the related literature. Results - New fuzzy and multi criteria designs can improve the existing keyboard by solving product problems, resulting in a clear and durable typeface for a creative LED keyboard. Conclusion - Using a fuzzy set with multi attribute policy-making influences the achievements appraisal system and can help achieve the anticipated strategy goal of product design.

  • This paper presents a systematic study for theoretical aspects of a unified approach to the abstract relative Fourier transforms over canonical homogeneous spaces of semi-direct product groups with Abelian normal factor. Let H be a locally compact group, K be a locally compact Abelian (LCA) group, and ${\theta}:H{\rightarrow}Aut(K)$ be a continuous homomorphism. Let $G_{\theta}=H{\ltimes}_{\theta}K$ be the semi-direct product of H and K with respect to ${\theta}$ and $G_{\theta}/H$ be the canonical homogeneous space (left coset space) of $G_{\theta}$. We introduce the notions of relative dual homogeneous space and also abstract relative Fourier transform over $G_{\theta}/H$. Then we study theoretical properties of this approach.

  • Engineering changes are indispensable engineering and management activities for manufactures to develop competitive products and to maintain consistency of its product data. Analysis of engineering changes provides a core functionality to support decision makings for engineering change management. This study aims to develop a method for analysis of engineering changes based on On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), a proven database analysis technology that has been applied to various business areas. This approach automates data processing for engineering change analysis from product databases that follow an international standard for product data management (PDM), and enables analysts to analyze various aspects of engineering changes with its OLAP operations. The study consists of modeling a standard PDM database and a multidimensional data model for engineering change analysis, implementing the standard and multidimensional models with PDM and data cube systems and applying the implemented data cube to core functions of engineering change management, the evaluation and propagation of engineering changes.

  • Intelligent robots are being introduced and utilized to create new values in diverse fields such as medical care, national defense, education, and manufacturing. However, while the technical aspects of intelligent robots are spreading, the business side is lacking in recognition. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting product innovation through the introduction of intelligent robots in enterprises. Among the six variables secured from the technology, organization, and environment framework, only perceived direct usefulness and competitive pressure have significant effects on product innovation. The results imply that the effects of introducing robots are still in their early stage from a business perspective.

  • Small and medium enterprises have various problems that is the distributed process state, the method of receipt from custom, documentation change and so on related to the existing product design process. For that reason they require systematic analysis and smooth progress f3r each product design process. The solution is in this issue development of design management system far collaborative engineering. The aim of this system is to analyze the wrong existing process and to standardize product design process. Since this system is a server on web based Database with web identification, the client can overcome the limit of time, place and resource duplication. As a result product design process gets the greatest of efficiency in the various aspects.

  • Globalization of market has put considerable research activities in cosmopolitism and nationalism. In addition, consumer's perception of product's country of origin is widely regarded as an important influence on their shopping behavior. The objective of this paper is to investigate the joint effect of cosmopolitanism and nationalism on shopping orientation and awareness of the country of origin of fashion products among Korean young consumers. Data from 471 young Korean consumers were analyzed. According to the cosmopolitanism/nationalism measure, respondents were segmented into three groups: global, local and glocal group. Results indicated that global and glocal consumers value symbolic and non-conforming aspects of fashion product shopping and were more interested in country of origin of products than local consumers. Global consumers showed higher level of foreign product preference than local and glocal consumers. Some managerial implication for marketing practitioners was suggested.

  • MODIS LAI has been one of key products for analyzing the quantitative aspects ofterrestrial ecology. This study was designed to validate MODIS LAS product by using the reference LAI map that was derived from both ground measurements and ETM+ surface reflectance. The study area, the Kwangneung Experiment Forest in Korea, covers mixed species of deciduous and conifers of temperate forest. Throughout the growing season of 2002, we have measured LAS at the 30 sample plots using an optical device. Ground measured LAS data were then correlated to the ETM+ reflectance to produce a continuous map of LAS over the study area. Preliminary comparison between MODIS LAI and the reference LAI map showed the lower LAI values from the MODIS product.

  • Systematic improvement of the environmental performance of industrial products is a core element of good business. Improving the overall environmental performance of products is envisaged as one of the most important strategic goals and objectives in many company policies. This paper demonstrates an Ecodesign approach to develop a product in a systematical way. The objective of this research is two-folds-describing a systematic procedure of implementing Ecodesign in a company and giving a real case example to demonstrate the application of the proposed Ecodesign methodology. The methodology was based on Wimmer et al and consists of seven steps out of the twelve steps for integrating significant environmental aspects of a product and environmental issues resulting from the stakeholder requirements into product design and development. Together with the Ecodesign team of a major domestic car manufacturer the Ecodesign of a car fuel tank unit has been chosen for the case study presented in the paper. The application of the proposed methodology to the fuel tank unit of a car indicates that practical target specifications of the fuel tank unit were derived systematically. This indicates that the seven steps approach can be a viable Ecodesign method for manufacturers to integrate environmental aspects of their products into their product design and development processes.

  • The purpose of this paper is 1) to extract managerial factor into each cell which is classified by the characteristic grill of new products 2) to construct a management model of new product development for korean companies. For this purpose, the characteristic grill of new products is classified by which is market/technology sphere. Moreover the focus of this analysis is on examination of success/failure factors, which have an important effect upon new product success or failure. The variables for this study were selected from literature survey and pre-interview was implemented specially. The subject of study was project leaders of electronics industry where have taken the leading part in product development activities in Korean manufacturing industries. Enquete survey was conducted in each firm and project managers were asked to respond. Conclusion of this study based on many significant results gained by the various multi-variate analysis are summarized as follows. First, it can he noted that success/failure factors are different by each classified model and characteristic grill of a new product. Second, it has been identified that the important factors of success products were technical & management support and market ability, the important factor of failure product were lacking in ability of technical development and R&D management system construction. This paper presents some useful guidelines in strategic and managerial aspects for development of new products. Concurrently, the model of this study should be a great practical approach for application of actual affairs.
