The frictional capacity of auger-cast piles is often very small because of the disturbance of the soil surrounding the pile during the excavation process. Usage of expansive agents and a pressurized injection technique for auger-cast piles should improve the frictional resistance between pile and soil. This paper presents the test results of auger-cast model piles installed with expansive mortar in laboratory compacted weathered soil. The model piles were installed in a calibration chamber with a variation in the amount of expansive agent, the injection process and the chamber pressure. It was observed that the pile shaft resistance increases with the increased amount of expansive agent, and also increases when mortar is pressure injected. The shaft resistance increased up to 24% for the pile installed only with expansive mortar and increased up to 56% for the pile installed with the pressurized injection of expansive mortar, compared with that of piles with plain mortar.

An analog array with a 1.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ double poly floating gate transistor has been developed with a standard CMOS fabrication process. The programming of each cell by means of an efficient control circuit eliminates the unnecessary erasing operation which has been widely used in conventional analog memories. It is seen that the path of the signal for both the programming and the reading is almost exactly the same since just one comparator supports both operations. It helps to eliminate the effects of the amplifier input-offset voltage problem on the output voltage for the read operation. In the array, there is no pass transistor isolating a cell of interest from the adjacent cells in the array. Instead of the extra transistors, one extra bias voltage, Vmid, is employed. The experimental results from the memory shows that the resolution of the memory is equivalent to the information content of at least six digital cells. Programming/erasing of each cell is achieved with no detectable disturbance of adjacent cells. Finally, the unique shape of the injector structure in a EEPROM is adopted as a cell of analog array. It reduces the programming voltage below the transistor breakdown voltage without any special fabrication process.

In recent years, synthetic and systematic management with conservation-oriented strategy for Baekdu-daegan, which is the greatest chine as well as the major ecological axis of the Korean Peninsula, is being required to cope adequately with the various kinds of developmental urge. For this, spatially definite zoning for the managerial area on Baekdu-daegan has to be completed first. This study is to take into consideration the traditional concepts of stream and watershed as well as the actual disturbance on Daegan area, and to propose the process for reasonably establishing the managerial boundary adjacent to the Ridges. The case site with topographically diverse characteristics was selected, and the analyses on watershed, road network and land use were carried out using the digital maps and Landsat TM images. Based on these analyses results, the managerial boundaries as alternatives from the Ridges were produced by watershed expansion process, and used for tracing the changes of road occupancy rate and the areal ratio of various land use types to the relevant watersheds to search out the adequate managerial boundary. The results show that watershed expansion process could be effective tool for establishing the managerial boundary, and the fourth expanded watershed would be included for the adequate managerial boundary of the case site.

Natural ground is a composite consisted of the three phases of water, air and soil paircies. Among the three components, water as a material is weU understood but soil particles are not in foundation engineering. Especially, weathered granite soil generally shows a large volumetric expansion when they freeze. And, the stability and durability of the soil have shown decreased with repetitive freezing and thawing processes. These unique charcteristics may cause various construction and management problems if the soil is used as a construction material and foundation layers. This project was initiated to investigate the soil's physical and engineering characteristics resulting from freezing and freezing-thawing processes. Research results may be used as a basic data in solving various problems related to the soil's unique characteristics. The following conclusions were obtained: The degree of decomposition of weathered granite soil in Kangwon-do was very different between the West and East sides of the divide of the Dae-Kwan Ryung. Soil particles distributed wide from very coarse to fine particles. Consistency could be predicted with a function of P200 as LL=0.8 P200+20. Permeability ranged from 10-2 to 10-4cm/sec, moisture content from 15 to 20% and maximum dry density from 1.55 to 1.73 g /cmΥ$^3$ By compaction, soil particles easily crushed, D50 of soil particles decreased and specific surface significantly increased. Shear characteristics varied wide depending on the disturbance of soil. Strain characteristics influenced the soil's dynamic behviour. Elastic failure mode was observed if strain was less than 1O-4/s and plastic failure mode was observed if strain was more than 10-2/s. The elastic wave velocity in the soil rapidly increased if dry density became larger than 1.5 g /cm$^3$ and these values were Vp=250, Vg= 150, respectively. Frost heave ratio was the highest around 0 $^{\circ}C$ and the maximum frost heave pressure was observed when deformation ratio was less than 10% which was the stability state of soil freezing. The state had no relation with frost depth. Over freezing process was observed when drainage or suction freezing process was undergone. Drainage freezing process was observed if freezing velocity was high under confined pressure and suction frost process was occurred if the velocity was low under the same confined process.
To evaluate the smear zone caused by the drain installation, 10 piezometers were installed in the typical soft ground in the western coastal area of Korea. The dynamic pore water pressure developed during the drain installation was monitored using piezometers installed at a distance of 10cm, 20cm, 30cm, 40cm and 50cm from the location of the drain. The decay of pore pressure with time after pushing piezometers to depths of 5 meters and 7 meters during the drain installation was monitored to assess flow and consolidation characteristics of the soil after disturbance of the soil due to the drain installation. The drain installation results in shear strain and displacement of the soil and it decreases the permeability of the soil. Hence, the comparison between dissipation of the pore water pressure process in 10 pieszometers before as well as after installation of the drain indicated the diameter of disturbance zone and smear zone, which is related to the cross-sectional dimension of the mandrel. In addition, Cone-pressuremeter(CPM) tests were performed to obtain rigidity index of the soil for an interpretation of the dissipation processes. It has been evaluated by in-situ tests that the smear zone is from 3.0 to 3.6 times of the cross-sectional dimension of the mandrel. The hydraulic conductivity expressed in terms of the coefficient of consolidation after the drain installation was calculated from 3 to 8 times decrease evaluated by Teh & Houlsby equation and CPM test results.
The purpose of this study is to review the contents of the legislation(2015.5.12.) for shop key money concretely and to find an effective way in making an improvement of practical protection in the process of tenant's shop key money collection. From this point of view, this study tries to make some legislative suggestions as follows. First of all, the code of conflicting definition between 'shop key money' and 'shop key money contract' in the amended Commercial Building Lease Protection Act need to be harmonized with each other because they are likely to face potential problems in the protection of tenant's shop key money collction as well as risks for confusion. In the second place, it requires to strengthen the protection of tenant's shop key money collection by approval of direct opposing power of shop key money itself on condition that it satisfies a certain prerequisites. In addition, the ambiguous codes related to the landlord's disturbance should be distinctly arranged and the distribution principle of demonstration about landlord's disturbance on tenant's shop key money collection also should be made clear. Finally, the standard level of shop key money by region, business district, and category of business should be set and announced by Ministry of Land and Transport.
The purpose of this study was to identify characteristics of vegetation structure, vegetation succession, and species diversity of artificially planted Chamaecyparis obtusa (CO) stands. The study was carried out by performing vegetation survey for eight CO stands located in Jeollanam-do Province, Korea. Analysis on vegetation classification and ordinations of the stands was conducted using the data from the vegetation survey, and as a result, the stands were classified into five types of communities. Community I showed a considerably lower index of species diversity when compared to other communities because the canopy of the dominant CO was so highly dense that the low-height vegetation was not able to develop or the low-height vegetation almost disappeared due to elimination of weed trees. Meanwhile, the Community II - IV had relatively higher indices of species diversity because various native tree species mixed with the low-height vegetation and competed with each other in the understory and shrub layers to some degree of stability or in their early stage of vegetation development. Community V, lastly, showed higher use intensity as a recreational forest, thus developing simpler vegetation structure on account of artificial intervention. There was positive correlation between photosynthetically active radiation entering the forest floor, number of observed species and index of species diversity. Such characteristics of vegetation structure in CO stands are closely associated with forest management and prescription for planting reforestation, thinning, and brush cutting in the past. There was a slight difference in vegetation structure and species diversity by communities, based on rotation time of the vegetational succession, process of disturbance frequency and disturbance, development, and maturity by planting CO stands. However, when compared to natural forests, the CO stands showed simpler vegetation structure. Because artificial forests are vulnerable in ecosystem service with lower species diversity, a drive for ecological management is needed for such forests to change into healthy ecosystems that can display functions of public benefit.

This paper presents external load disturbance compensation that used to deadbeat load torque observer and regulation of the compensation gain by parameter estimator. As a result, the response of PMSM follows that of the nominal plant. The load torque compensation method is compose of a dead beat observer that is well-known method. However it has disadvantage such as a noise amplification effect. To reduce of the effect, the post-filter, which is implemented by MA process, is proposed. The parameter compensator with RLSM(recursive least square method) parameter estimator is suggested to increase the performance of the load torque observer and main controller. Although RLSM estimator is one of the most effective methods for online parameter identification, it is difficult to obtain unbiased result in this application. It is caused by disturbed dynamic model with external torque. The proposed RLSM estimator is combined with a high performance torque observer to resolve the problems. As a result, the proposed control system becomes a robust and precise system against the load torque and the parameter variation. A stability and usefulness, through the verified computer simulation and experiment, are shown in this paper.

Impaction is the cessation of eruption process caused by physical obstacles on the eruption pathway, abnormal tooth position, or lack or space. It often occurs in association with supernumerary teeth, odontogenic tumor, or cystic lesions, and ameloblastic fibroma is one of the odontogenic tumors that can cause impaction of teeth. In many cases, ameloblastic fibroma occurs in association with one or more unerupted teeth. The proper management of ameloblastic fibroma is determined between conservative resection or more aggressive block resection, based size and morphologic features of the lesion and age of the patient. This is a case of a 8 year and 6 month old boy whose lower left permanent molar showed eruption disturbance. The impacted tooth was successfully repositioned favorably through surgical exposure and orthodontic traction using a modified halterman appliance. Long term follow-up, longer than 10 years, is planned considering relatively high recurrence rate and possibility of malignant transformation of ameloblastic fibroma, which cause impaction of the lower left permanent molar in this case.
A largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) is an ecosystem disturbance fish species at the highest rank in the aquatic ecosystem, causing a serious imbalance in freshwater ecosystems. Although various attempts have been made to eradicate and control largemouth bass, no effective measures were found. Therefore, it is necessary to find an approach to maximize the effective population reduction based on the unique characteristics of largemouth bass. This study used the transcriptome analysis to derive 182,887 unigene contigs and select 12 types of final target sequences for applying the CRISPR/Cas9 system in the genes of IZUMO1 and Zona pellucida sperm-binding protein, which are proteins involved in sperm-egg recognition. After synthesizing 12 types of sgRNA capable of recognizing each target sequence, 12 types of Cas9-sgRNA ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complexes to be used in subsequent studies were prepared. This study searched the protein-coding gene of sperm-egg through the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and edited genes through the CRISPR/Cas9 system to induce infertile individuals that produced reproductive cells but could not form fertilized eggs. Through such a series of processes, it successfully established a composition development process for largemouth bass. It is judged that this study contributed to securing the valuable basic data for follow-up studies to verify its effect for the management of ecological disturbances without affecting the habitat of other endemic species in the same water system with the largemouth bass.
