Despite a wide practice of e-market sellers communicating with their consumers, little attention is given to how the practice affects consumers' purchase decision process. Based on the text analysis of 10,479 accommodation cases obtained from Airbnb, we empirically examine the relationship between the sellers' communication efforts and the wish-listing behaviors of guests. We find that the wish-listing is positively associated with the communication efforts of a host, such as (1) the feedback volume, (2) tailored messages and personalized contents, and (3) contingent responses to guest reviews. We discuss the theoretical and practical implications of the study.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to deduct the factors for explaining the economic behavior of an Internet user who provides personal information notwithstanding the concern about an invasion of privacy based on the Information Privacy Calculus Theory and Communication Privacy Management Theory. Design/methodology/approach This study made a design of the research model by integrating the factors deducted from the computation theory of information privacy with the factors deducted from the management theory of communication privacy on the basis of the Dual-Process Theory. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, this study confirmed that the Privacy Concern about forms through the Perceived Privacy Risk derived from the Disposition to value Privacy. In addition, this study confirmed that the behavior of an Internet user involved in personal information offering occurs due to the Perceived Benefits contradicting the Privacy Concern.

The purpose of this paper is to design a curtain control system for centralized management of large curtains, which includes curtain structure, electric curtain controller, communication system, user interface and remote control. Curtain structure is designed to avoid using limit switch. The system is based on microprocessor, determined the stop position and complete running time of electric curtain through time control, and achieved remote control of curtain opening and closing through wired and wireless communication modes. By establishment of a mathematical model to calculate the inertia compensation time of the electric curtain, the electric curtain can be stopped ahead of time, and the curtain can be completely closed by the inertia. The result of test experiment of 32 electric curtain controllers shows the communication success rate reached 100%.

Currently, our society is showing many changes due to the influence of information and communication technology (ICT). At the center of these information and communication technologies are software, intelligence, and sensing technologies. The software-related industry is steadily developing due to various software development policies implemented by the government and related organizations. Software development is desirable, but on the other hand, some negative aspects are also appearing. In this study, we proposed an objective way to infer the progress of software development for reasonable resolution of cases when a dispute related to the progress of development occurred during the software development process. The proposed solution was based on the waterfall model. The outputs generated in each process of the waterfall model are contents excluded from subjectivity. Therefore, it can be used as an objective method for calculating software development progress.

This study examines factors influencing nonusers' resistance to the adoption of the metaverse, focusing on propagation mechanisms. It elucidates the role of innovation resistance within the metaverse adoption process. We applied the Innovation Resistance Model in the context of the metaverse and considers three major groups of factors influencing resistance to the metaverse: innovation characteristics (perceived usefulness, compatibility, perceived risk, and complexity), consumer characteristics (personal innovativeness), and propagation mechanisms (mass media, online media, and personal communication). An online survey of college students who do not use the metaverse revealed that perceived usefulness, compatibility, personal innovativeness, and online media were negative predictors of resistance to the metaverse. Conversely, perceived risk, mass media, and personal communication were positive predictors of resistance to the metaverse. Furthermore, innovation resistance was found to play a mediating role in the metaverse adoption process. Drawing upon the findings, we suggested marketing strategies to decrease resistance to the metaverse.

The Manchu language holds historical significance, but a complete dataset of Manchu script letters for training optical character recognition machine-learning models is currently unavailable. Therefore, this paper describes the process of creating a robust dataset of extracted Manchu script letters. Rather than performing automatic letter segmentation based on whitespace or the thickness of the central word stem, an image of the Manchu script was manually inspected, and one copy of the desired letter was selected as a region of interest. This selected region of interest was used as a template to match all other occurrences of the same letter within the Manchu script image. Although the dataset in this study contained only 4,000 images of five Manchu script letters, these letters were collected from twenty-eight writing styles. A full dataset of Manchu letters is expected to be obtained through this process. The collected dataset was normalized and trained using a simple convolutional neural network to verify its effectiveness.

본 논문은 애자일 개발 프로세스에 대해 제품의 품질을 높이며 동시에 시간의 낭비를 줄이는 방법으로 동시 테스팅을 이용한 스크럼 개발 프로세스를 제안한다. 개발 프로세스 중심의 스크럼 조직 내에 테스트엔지니어의 역할을 정의하고, 테스트 설계, 테스트 코드 개발, 테스트 수행 및 스크럼 팀 간의 통합 관점에서 커뮤니케이션 및 이슈 관리를 수행하도록 하였다. 이를 통해 결함생명 주기의 지연시간이 줄어 들고, 릴리스 이후 결함이 감소하여 품질이 향상되었음을 확인하였다.

In development of monitoring and control systems, one of the most important points is to consider a redundancy so that the system can be operated normally although hardware faults are partly occurred. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a monitoring and control system with a redundancy function for I/O servers and communication networks. I/O servers composed with an active server and a standby server. Each server also has 3 communication ports, 2 ports of them were connected to field units and the other 1 port was connected to the other server. Field units have to be constructed to 2 communication ports connected I/O servers through communication lines. Also, server communication module was implemented for analyzing and handling fault elements. and was submodularized for linking easily with a monitoring and control module. An experiment with 2 servers and 2 field units was constructed to demonstrate its effectiveness.

본 연구는 의사소통에 관한 이론을 중심으로 연구하여 연구자들과 실무자들에게 도움을 주고자 하였다. 의사소통에 관한 다양한 정의들을 고찰정리하고, 의사소통의 기능을 살펴보았다. 의사소통은 여러 과정을 통하여 이루어지는데 이 과정에 관한 여러 가지의 모형을 제시함으로써 의사소통에 대한 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 원활하고 정확한 의사소통에 방해가 되는 장애요인을 고찰하고, 이 장애요인을 극복하고 효과적인 의사소통에 필요한 개선방안을 제시하였다.

We introduce, in this paper, a novel approach of protection mechanism for data which are transmitted not only between the networked devices but also between the digital media devices. As the devices are getting more powerful and more storage capacity, they can process the encoded/encrypted data autonomously. However, all devices must know the secret key that used to encrypt data, and also use secure method to distribute that key. Moreover, there are no protection mechanisms supporting end-to-end copy protection which result in the fact that the data passed through various devices can be manipulated or captured. Therefore, we propose a RFID-based key distribution and protection mechanism to resolve these problems.
