Development of DC Leakage Current Sensor for Solar Power Generation System (태양광발전시스템용 직류 누설전류 센서 개발)

  • Grid connected transformerless solar power generation system is frequently used with the benefits of cost and efficiency. However, significant DC leakage current can flow from the DC line into the ground with dielectric breakdown in the transformerless solar power generation system. The leakage current occurred in the DC line causes accidents such as fire and electric shock on human. To resolve this problem, high sensitivity DC leakage current sensor is needed. But recently the studies on safety of DC line are not performed. In this paper, a high sensitivity DC leakage current sensor that can detect DC leakage current in solar power generation system, is proposed. Based on the studies, DC leakage current sensor is fabricated and characteristic tests are carried out. Finally, the accuracy of sensor performance is verified by leakage current experiments in solar power generation system.

  • Photovoltaic power generation system is one of new renewable energy sources. Such distributed power generation system has important issues for the system management ad operating after its installation. To solve the problem, remote monitoring and control systems can be employed. In this paper, LabVBEW based monitoring and control system is proposed for efficient management and operation of the photovoltaic power generation system. Interface method between monitoring part and DSP controller is given in detail. The proposed system is verified through experiments using a grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system.

  • This paper presents a scheme to solve the congestion problem with phase-shifting transformer(PST) and power generation using linear programming method. A good design of PST and power generation control can improve total transfer capability(TTC) in interconnected systems. This paper deals with an application of optimization technique for TTC calculation. linear programming method is used to maximize power flow of tie line subject to security constraints such as voltage magnitude and real power flow. The proposed method is applied to 10 machines 39 buses model systems to show its effectiveness.

  • This paper proposes a method of h-type adaptive mesh generation for the finite element analysis of two dimensional elasticity problem. The error energy norm of a posteriori error estimation is difined based on the complementary energy of each element. Computer codes are developed and some examples are investigated. It is shown that the approach to the optimized mesh in this paper is effective and useful.

  • In this paper, we present mathematical models for the ring covering problems arising in the design of multi-ring WDM networks. Also, we present efficient algorithms to solve the suggested models. By the computational experiment, our model can solve the medium-sized networks efficiently and shows better performance than the existing heuristic method. Although we propose an efficient method for the column generation procedure, branching rule that does not destroy the column generation structure is unsolved. Further research is required to develop an effective branching rule.

  • The problem in orthoimage generation is to recover occlusion areas. In this study, occlusion areas - double mapping regions of the building roofs - were mutually corrected by using multiple images. The proposed method could be efficient for generating true orthoimages in urban areas.

  • This paper presents an axial flux permanent magnet synchronous generator with a high power-to-weight ratio, dedicated for small-scale gearless wind power generation plants. For this purpose, a specific design is necessary to meet the imposed requirements. In this paper the design technique for the specifications is presented. The aim of the paper is also to discuss some of the first obtained test results and the involved demagnetizing problem (i.e. short-circuit).
