  • Many enterprises have adopted various management techniques and IT systems such as "Process Management", "ERP" for coping with rapid business environment change and for continual growth. However, the separation problem between business process and IT system which causes reduction of business management efficiency has occurred for the lack of integration management mechanism. To solve this problem, many companies try to adopt BPM (Business Process Management) concept. The purpose of this study is to identify this separation problem in Korean construction companies which are trying to apply BPM to their business through evaluating IT system support to business processes. This study indicated the need of evaluation through current researches and case studies, then made hierarchy of home business of construction companies and analyzed IT systems for supporting business. The evaluation method is designed based on these researches. This study proposed the implications for adopting BPM in construction companies based on evaluation results analysis.

  • This paper introduces a model of practice education for creative problem solving, using five steps on CPS. Learners can get the motivation about development of creative thinking and problem solving skill through the theory of CPS. Furthermore, they can apply problem solving skill to various problem. As a result of the study, the learners could realize the importance of the problem definition and the creative problem solving method. We proposed a guideline about five steps of CPS method and a method about idea evaluation. So, we established the education model about leaners can get the creative problem-solving skill more efficiently.

  • $\ulcorner$Cost Effectiveness Analysis$\lrcorner$ has been widely used to evaluate the effectiveness of R&D resources. But, almost of cost effectiveness evaluation systems have some problems, especially the cross effect among R&D projects has not been considered. To solve this problem, we have designed a new $\ulcorner$Cross Effect Evaluation System(CEES)$\lrcorner$, which are able to estimate multi-effects and cross effects by completion time among several projects.

  • [ $\lceil\;Cost Effectiveness Analysis\;\rfloor$ ] has been widely used to evaluate effectiveness of R&D resources. But, almost of cost effectiveness evaluation systems have some problems, especially estimating method of effect on R&D project is very rough and imprecise. To solve this problem, we have designed new single effect evaluation system, which are able to apply the distribution of order statistics and to transform relative measure into absolute measure for getting single effect.

  • The scheduling of real-time tasks needs both correctness and timeliness. But it is not easy to schedule real-time tasks having different characteristics in a single system. In this paper we solve the problem through an approach using the performance evaluation of real-time tasks through fuzzy-random variables. Using the performance evaluation through fuzzy-random variable, we can achieve flexible and efficient scheduling for real-time systems.

  • The evaluation of the Fuzzy Expected Value (FEV) as a typical value requires complete knowledge about the domain of the evaluation, and the distribution of the population in that domain [1]. Since in many situations it is not possible to gather complete knowledge regarding the domain, it is necessary to relax some of the restrictions involving the evaluation of FEV. In this paper we discuss solutions to this problem by using the concept of the Fuzzy Expected Interval (FEI).

  • Recently“ride comfort”problem becomes increasingly important because of today's needs for train speedup The concept of term “riding comfort” is equivocal. Generally it is defined as the vehicle vibration. There are many studies on evaluation method of ride comfort for railway. But each of then recommends the different assessment method and the different guidance. So users must review whether they can apply it to their system or not. In this paper, we discuss the evaluation methods defined in the standards - ISO 2631, UIC 513 R, CEN DRAFT prENV 12299 and the ride index suggested by Sperling.

  • The operating sound radiated from a laser printer includes tonal noise components caused by the rotating mechanical parts such as gear, shaft, motor, fan, etc. The negative effects of the tonal noise components need to be considered in the process of developing a sound quality index for the quantitative evaluation of the emotional satisfaction in terms of psycho-acoustics. However, in a previous paper, it was confirmed that the Aures tonality did not have enough correlation with the results of jury evaluation. The sound quality index based on loudness, articulation index, fluctuation strength has a little problem in considering the effects of rotating mechanical parts on the sound quality. In this paper, to solve the tonality evaluation problem, the calculation algorithm of Aures tonality was investigated in detail to find the cause of decreasing the correlation. The new tonality evaluation model was proposed by modifying and optimizing the masking effect, loudness ratio, and shape of weighting curve based on the basic algorithm of Aures tonality, and applied to two kinds of operating sound groups in order to verify the usefulness of proposed model. As a result, it is confirmed that the proposed tonality evaluation model has enough correlation and usefulness for expressing the tonalness in the operating sounds of laser printers. In the following paper, this results will be used to model the sound quality index as the input data by using the classification algorithm.
