The flow field of a 1 Ton/Day entrained-flow gasifier constructed in KIER was numerical simulate in this paper. The standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model and simple procedure was used with the Primitive-Variable methods during computation. In order to find the influence factors of the flow field which may have great effects on coal gasification process inside gasifier, difference geometry parameters at various operating conditions were studied by simulation methods. The calculation results show that the basic shape of the flow field is still parabolic even the oxygen gas is injected from the off-axis position. There exist an obvious external recirculation zone with a length less than 1.0m and a small internal recirculation region nears the inlet part. The flow field inside the new gasifier is nearly similar as that of the old 0.5T/D gasifier at same position if the design of burner remains unchanged.

This paper described construction of CIF and DXF parser using YACC (yet another compiler compiler), in order to plot CIF, and conversion of DXF into CIF for geometrical information of AUTOCAD. It is difficult to construct parper for input with complex grammar or with grammar which has possibilities of extension, and to varify the validity. YACC, a LALR parser generator, is a effective tool in these works. Also DRC or ERC can be developed quickly using primitive CIF in this paper. So, it is practicable to design IC at PC without expensive workstations.

This paper examines Haniwa costume in the Goboon period of Japan. The results are as follows. 1. Haniwa costume consisted of two pieces, the upper one and the lower one. Man wore Jacket and Pants, woman wore Jacket and Skirt ; besides, they wore several ornaments such as hats, necklaces, earings, bracelets. 2. When it was introduced, two-piece costume signified, symbolically, the authority of the chieftain and his near men wore it. 3. Before it was introduced, their proper costume had been the same kind of costume as Whoengpok-costume and Gwandu-costume, which was the primitive costume in the South countries. That costume was fit both for the hot and wet nature of Japan and for the working lower-class, so it was continuously worn by the lower-class after two-piece costume had been introduced. 4. In the Goboon period of Japan, a unified government with the class ruling was established for the first time. Thus, this social order was reflected in costume as a whole, and costume had such class-oriented features.

Octree representation has the advantage of being able to represent complex shapes approximately through the repetition of simple primitive shapes. Due to this reason, octree representation together with VRML(Virtual Reality Modelling Language) is usually used for approximating 3D shapes. Since the data size of octree representation increases rapidly as 3D shape to be represented is more and more complicated, its transmission time also increase. In this paper, provided is the new octree representation and encoding/decoding scheme for real-time transmission through the internet in order to visualize 3D geometric data of large size approximately.

The aim of his study is to understand the developed aspect and proportions of the exotic images. Thus, this analyzed the exotic images in domestic fashion brand items as an relevance with fashion trend information. The exotic images are in the order of 'ethnic', 'retro', artistic', 'elegance', 'primitive', 'seductive', 'folklore', 'extreme hybrid', 'romantic', 'natural', 'splendid', 'bohemian', 'classical', 'kidult', 'modern', 'traditional', 'vintage' expressed in domestic fashion goods by the categories of its key-words expressed fashion trend information, and suitable for the fashion trend in 21C and fashionable for goods in the domestic fashion market by expressing the racial costume images and retro look, the maximized women's elegance, the difference images with an humor and unfamiliarity.

Human beings have been fascinated by the applicability of the medium of photography since the device was first introduced in the thirteenth century to acquire images by attempting primitive and rudimentary approaches. In the 21st century, it has been developed as a wide range of technology that enables not only the application of artistic expression as a method of replacing the human-hand-painted screen but also the planar recording form in the format of video or image. It is more effective to use the information extracted from the image data rather than to use a randomly given file name in order to provide a variety of services in the offline or online system. When extracting an identifier from a region of an image, high cost cannot be avoided. This paper discusses the image entropy-based approach and proposes a linear methodology to measure the image entropy in an effort to devise a solution to this method.

Pre-existing pattern recognition techniques, in the case of character recognition, have limited on the application field. But CAI character learning system and writer's recognition system are very important parts. The application field of pre-existing system can be expanded in the content that the learning of characters and the recognition of writers in the proposed paper. In order to achieve these goals, the development contents are the following: Firstly, pre-processing method by understanding the image structure is proposed, secondly, recognition of characters are accomplished b the histogram distribution characteristics. Finally, similarity measure functions are defined from standard character pattern for matching of the input character pattern. Also the effectiveness of this system is demonstrated by experimenting the standard primitive image.

This study reflects the aim of analyzing the fashion design connection with ecology. Ecology has been linked to human life through its changing relations with environment. In order to recover eco-system ecology-nature oriented methodology and technology oriented approach will suffice. On the modern design field Green design Recycling and Green marketing resulted in increasing rates of environment-friendly production and an effort to deliver environment-friendly corporate image. Based on above research ecological image on fashion design during the year 1990 to 1995 represents the following conclusion. In the fashion design field natural image primitive image nature -harmonious image material-recyling image culture-recycling image are proposed. In the technology field clean image and high-tech image are proposed. In the marketing field happy image harmonious image serious image and realistic image are proposed.

As a seedbed for American Public Administration, Traditional Reform Perspective (TRP) produced Wilsonian formulation of administrative science in modern academic setting. From the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century, ideas were transported into Public Administration scholarship. New Reform Perspective (NRP) entails a belief that these reasonings are largely based on assumptions of Economics. Looking into this belief is a necessary condition, if not a sufficient one, for answering the question: Does NRP hold in the study of administration? This initial reading, though somewhat primitive, tries to set up a proposal for identifying a meaningful context for understanding the situation. As a representative version, Wilson's original perspective must be reconsidered in order to articulate the field of study within traditional reform context. According to NRP, new administrative theories are the results of the influence of economic reasoning into the field of Public Administration. Therefore, rereading of Tiebout's 'Pure Theory' and Ostrom, Tiebout and Warrens's 'Theoretical Inquiry' is a prerequisite to satisfy this particular condition.

Electronic Ink is a stored data in the form of the handwritten text or the script without converting it into ASCII by handwritten recognition on the pen-based computers and Personal Digital Assistants(PDA) for supporting natural and convenient data input. One of the most important issue is to search the electronic ink in order to use it. We proposed and implemented a script matching algorithm for the electronic ink. Proposed matching algorithm separated the input stroke into a set of primitive stroke using the curvature of the stroke curve. After determining the type of separated strokes, it produced a stroke feature vector. And then it calculated the distance between the stroke feature vector of input strokes and one of strokes in the database using the dynamic programming technique.
