소결분위기 변환온도가 Al2O3/Cu 나노복합재료의 미세조직과 파괴강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Sintering Atmosphere Changing Temperature on Microstructure and Mechanical Property of Al2O3/Cu Nanocomposites)

  • The microstructure and mechanical property of hot-pressed $Al_2O_3/Cu$ composites with a different temperature for atmosphere changing from H$_{2}$ to Ar have been studied. When atmosphere-changed from H$_{2}$ to Ar gas at 145$0^{\circ}C$, the hot-pressed composite was characterized by inhomogeneous microstructure and low fracture strength. On the contrary, when atmosphere-changed at low temperature of 110$0^{\circ}C$ the composite showed more homogeneous microstructure, higher fracture strength and smaller deviation in strength. Based on the thermodynamic consideration and microstructural analysis, it was interpreted that the Cu wetting behavior relating to the formation of CuAlO$_{2}$ is probably responsible for strong dependence of microstructure on atmosphere changing temperature. The reason for a strong sensitivity of fracture strength and especially of its deviation to atmosphere changing temperature was explained by the microstructural inhomogeneity and by the role of CuAlO$_{2}$ phase on the interfacial bonding strength.

  • Soft magnetic iron powders have been coated with polyester or phenol resin. And the coated powder (soft magnetic composite) have been pressed into ring type core over the pressure of 870 MPa. Green density, magnetic flux density, permeability, core loss of the samples were measured to look at the effect of the coating materials and the amount of them. Green density is increased with the amount of coating materials and shows the maximum value, 6.5 $g/cm^3$ at 5 w/o, but decreased over it. And lowest value of the core loss is showed for the 5 w/o coated samples.

  • Si3N4, AlN and Y2O3 powder mixtures of the Y0.1(Si, Al)12(N, O)16 composition were hot-pressed at 1900℃ for 0 to 60 min under 30 MPa in order to fabricate the partially-stabilized α-Sialon ceramics (X=0.1). Room and high temperature flexural strengths of the specimens were compared with those of Si3N4-5 wt%Y2O3, Si3N4-5 wt%Y2O3-2 wt%Al2O3, and β-Sialon (Z=0.5) ceramics. The flexural strength of the α-Sialon ceramics which was hot-pressed for 15 min showed the highest value of 820 MPa at 1400℃ that is relatively higher temperature. It is guessed that a little amount of glassy phase existed in grain boundary because Y2O3 and AlN components were incoperated in Si3N4 grains, or transient liquid phase sintering, and microstructure with the smaller grain size and the interlocked grains of α'-and β-Si3N4 was obtained by the hot-pressing at high temperature of 1900℃ for the short time (15 min).

Air Jet Mill 공법과 PMMA의 단분산성이 프레스드 파우더의 밀착성 및 발림성 향상에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Skin-affinity and Spreadability in the Pressed Powder using Air Jet Mill Process and Mono-dispersed PMMA)

  • 베이스메이크업 중의 하나인 프레스드 파우더는 주요 품질 속성으로 밀착성과 발림성이다. 일반적으로 메이크업 화장료에서 밀착성을 향상시키면 반대속성인 발림성이 저하되기 때문에 밀착성과 발림성을 동시에 충족시키는데 한계가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 두 가지 주요 속성을 만족시키기 위해서 air jet mill 공정을 시도하였고, lauroyl lysine (LL)과 sodium cocoyl glutamate (SCG)의 혼합물로 습식 코팅 처리한 sericite를 적용하여 밀착성을 향상시켰다. 또한, 분산성이 단분산성을 이루고 있는 polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)와 diphenyl dimethicone/ vinyl diphenyl dimethicone/ silsesquioxane crosspolymer (DDVDDSC)를 적용하여 발림성을 향상시켜 서로 양립하기 어려운 두 가지 품질 속성을 모두 만족시켰다. air jet mill 공정은 제약, 식품 산업에서 주로 적용되고 있으며 화장품 분야에서는 파우더 소재 가공을 위해 사용되고 있는 공법이다. 본 연구에서는 air jet mill 공정을 제조 공정단계에서 접목시켜 최적의 입경인 $6.8{\mu}m$의 화장료를 완성할 수 있었다. 그리고, EDS 매핑으로 Ti 원소가 화장료에서 전체적으로 고르게 분포하고 있음을 확인하였고, SEM 분석을 통하여 판상 입자의 모서리 부분이 둥글게 가공처리 됨을 확인하였다. 이는 화장 도구를 이용하여 화장료를 취하여 피부에 도포할 때, 발림성이 향상되는 효과를 줄 수 있다고 판단된다. 피부 친화성이 우수한 LL과 저자극이면서 코코넛에서 유래한 SCG를 습식 코팅하여 sericite의 밀착성을 더욱 향상시켰다. 그리고, PMMA의 분산성과 형태가 발림성에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해서 SEM을 분석하였다. 유사한 형태를 갖는 구형 및 진구형에서도 분포도가 균일하고 단분산상일 때 발림성 효과가 더욱 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. PMMA의 단분산성과 입경에 따른 발림성을 동마찰계수 측정으로 확인하였고, 최적의 함량을 결정하였다. 그리고, 실리콘 러버 파우더 종류에 따른 발림성과 경도, 낙하안정성 등을 확인하여 DDVDDSC를 결정하였다. 최종적으로 PMMA의 단분산성과 실리콘 러버 파우더가 발림성에 영향을 끼치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 화장료는 적정한 경도를 갖으면서도 낙하안정성이 우수하며, 경시에 따른 안정성도 우수하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 본 논문에서 제시하는 프레스드 파우더의 밀착성과 발림성을 향상시킬 수 있는 한 가지 방법으로 활용될 수 있을 것이라 판단된다.

폐견사류의 미세분말화 및 표면 가공제 적용 (Preparation of Fine Silk Powder and It′s Application for Surface Modification)

  • The purification, dissolution and powdering of stained waste silk obtained from weaving and dyeing process were studied for the surface modification of textile fabric and plastic materials. The whiteness of stained waste silk could be improved through degumming and bleaching with sodium hydrosulfite. The water-soluble fibroin solution can be obtained by dissoving the degummed waste silk in a boiling solution of 50% calcium chloride for 60 minutes. The salts and heavy metals contained in fibroin solution were removed by electric dialysis, wool fiber filtration and gel filtration chromatography. The fibroin powder was prepared by using a fine grinder after the alkali treatment for weakening the silk fiber. The fine fibroin powder of particle size around 30 ㎛ was obtained with a ultra fine-mill, while it was finer below 10 ㎛ with a ball-mill. The dissolved or powdered silk was applied to the surface of fabric with addition of the binder (a urethane resin). The moisture content of polyester and nylon fabrics treated with the silk solution was improved due to hygroscopic property of silk. The fine fibroin powder mixed with the binder ws coated on the surface of synthetic film by use of the air pressed sprayer. It was revealed that the hygroscopicity as well as the softness of fibroin powder coated film was much improved. Therefore, it is thought that the fine silk fibroin powder is applicable as an coating agent for the surface modification of plastic and synthetic leather.

기판재료로서의 물라이트-코디어라이트 복합재료에 관한 특성 (Studies of the Mullite-Cordierite Composites as a Substrate Material)

  • Mullite and cordierite were prepared by the sol-gel route. Boehmite, fumed silica and Mg(NO3)2$.$6H2O were their starting materials. Mullite and cordierite powder were mixed by various weight percent. These mixed sols were ball-milled for 48hrs, dried at 100$^{\circ}C$, pressed, cold isostatic pressed and sintered at 1490$^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs. Mullite-cordierite composites sintered at 1490$^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs had>98% of theoretical density. Bending strength of the sintered bodies were 329-249MPa, dielectric constant 7.1-6.7 at 1MHz and thermal expansion coefficient at 800$^{\circ}C$ was matched with Si in the range of 30-35wt% cordierite.

Properties of Hot Pressed Alumina-Titanium Diboride Particulate Composites

  • Alumina($Al_2O_3$)-Titanium Diboride($TiB_2) particulate composites were fabricated by hot pressing of the powder mixture that was prepared from Self-propagating High Temperature Synthesis (SHS) product and commercial powders. Their propeties were examined in order to find feasibility of using SHS for making the high performance ceramic composite. $TiB_2 particles obtained by grinding the SHS product were finer than the commercial powders. Hot pressed sample containing the SHS products exhibited higher strength than the one prepared from the commercial powders.

  • Wollastonite-type glass ceramics were prepared by milling and firing at various temperatures using an automobile waste glass and waste shell as starting materials. Powder mixture ground by disk-type ball mill for 3 hours was pressed into a disk. The pressed specimen was fired at $850^{\circ}C$,$950^{\circ}C$ and $1050^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour in air. From FE-SEM observation, with an increase of the firing temperature from $850^{\circ}C$ to $1050^{\circ}C$, whisker-type phase was grown to about 10 $\mu\textrm{m}$ in length. Specimen fired at $1050^{\circ}C$ showed the formation of well-crystallized whisker-type wollastonite grains and the highest compressive strength.

  • Fly Ashes which are produced from coal-fired powder plants and classified as general waste can be used as raw materials for bricks and tiles because of their compositional similarity with clays. There was a limit of substituting fly ash for clay because plasticity decreased with increasing fly ash additions. Accordingly this study tried to suggest a feastibility of enhancing the substitution ratio by controlling the interfacial properties of fly ash. The slip with 1:1 volume ratio showed that best dispersive characteristics under the condition of pH 2 Filter pressed cakes made of pH 2 slips also showed better plastickity than those of untreated ones. of pH 2 Filter pressed cakes made of pH 2 also shwoed better plasticity than those of untreated ones.

가공방법을 달리한 오미자 분말차의 품질 특성 분석 (Evaluation of the Quality Characteristics in Omija (Schizandra chinensis Baillon) Powder Tea)

  • 오미자의 이용성 확대를 위한 건조 가공 제품의 가능성을 확인해보고자 생오미자 및 건조오미자를 이용하여 착즙, 추출, 동결건조, 과립성형 및 분무건조 등의 방법을 이용하여 다양한 오미자분말차를 제조하여 그 품질 특성을 비교 분석하였다. PG, EG 및 ES의 총가용성고형분 함량 및 탁도의 경우 다른 구에 비해 유의적으로 높았으며, pH 측정 결과 PG 및 EG가 다른 구보다 유의적으로 높았다. PG 및 EG의 색도 측정 결과 다른 구에 비해 높은 $L^*$값, 낮은 $a^*$값 및 $b^*$값으로 나타나 오미자의 가공 형태에 따른 유의적 차이가 뚜렷함을 알 수 있었다. PG 및 EG의 경우 다른 구에 비해 유의적으로 높은 환원당 함량, 낮은 총 페놀성 화합물의 함량, 낮은 항산화활성, 낮은 총 안토시아닌 함량 및 낮은 schizandrin 함량을 보여 오미자의 가공 형태에 따른 유의적 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 관능검사 결과 PG 및 EG는 낮은 붉은색 정도, 낮은 탁도 정도, 낮은 신맛 정도, 높은 쓴맛 정도 및 높은 단맛 정도를 보였으며, 종합적 기호도에서 PG 및 ES의 경우 가장 높은 점수를 받았다. 이와 같은 결과에서 붉은색과 항산화 활성, 안토시아닌 및 schizandrin 함량이 우수한 오미자 분말 제품을 위해 과립차보다 동결건조 및 분무건조분말차가 바람직하다고 판단된다.
