The Study on Antithrombosis and Inflammation according to The Broth Preparation Method of Gamijoukyungtang (가미조경탕(加味調經湯)의 전탕(煎湯) 방법에 따른 항혈전 및 염증에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: In this study, we investigated the anti-thrombotic and antiinflammatory efficacy of "Gamijoukyungtang(GJKT)". Methods: We studied inhibitory effects of platelet aggregation, FXa activation, $TXB_2$ and $PGE_2$ biosynthesis and suppressive effects of GPIIb/IIIa activity and oxidative damage, pro-inflammatory cytokine reduction effects of 'GJKT(by press extractor)/GJKT-1(by pressless extractor)' in vitro. Also, we studied suppression of pulmonary embolism, AV shunt model in rats and shortening of Rat tail bleeding time in vivo. Results: GJKT/GJKT-1 extract showed inhibitory effects on GPIIb/IIIaactivities and platelet aggregation induced by ADP, epinephrine, collagen and arachidonic acid. They suppressed biosynthesis of $PGE_2$ but GJKT-1 only supressed biosynthesis of $TXB_2$. In FXa assay, they inhibited activation of FXa. they suppressed pulmonary embolism triggered by collagen and epinephrine. In AV shunt model, they decreased the weights of AV shunt thrombus. they inhibited pro-inflammatory cytokines and decreased oxidative damages caused by DPPH. Conclusion: We confirmed the anti-thrombosis, and ant-inflammatory efficacy of 'GJKT(by press extractor)/GJKT-1(by pressless extractor)'.

Effects of Ojeoksan extracted by varied extraction method in HA-induced model of blood stasis (煎湯方法의 變化에 의한 五積散 물추출액이 Hydrocortisone acetate로 유발한 瘀血病態에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was performed to compare the effect of Ojeoksan which have extracted by varied extractor(press extractor : PE, pressless extractor : PLE, short acting extractor : SE) on model of blood stasis in rats, Except for the normal group, hydrocortisone acetate(HA;25mg/kg in ethanol. IM) to induce experimental blood stasis model for 1 weeks and each extract of Ojeaksan was administrated after 1hr following HA injection for 1week. We measured the hematocrit, the platelet count, the prothrombin time, levels of fibrinogen in rats' blood, The sample Ⅰ(Ojeoksan extracted by PE) group showed significant decrease of hematocrit. prothrombin time and significant increase of the platelet count, levels of fibrinogen in comparison with those of the control group, The sample Ⅱ(Ojeaksan) extracted by PLE) group showed significant decrease of hematocrit and significant increase of levels of fibrinogen in comparison with those of the control group. Administration of the sample Ⅲ(Ojeaksan extracted by SE) group showed significant decrease of hematocrit and significant increase of the platelet count, levels of fibrinogen in comparison with those of the control group.

Chemical Characteristics of Citron(Citrus junos) Juices (유자 착즙액의 화학적 특성)

  • It was aimed to study the chemical characteristics and volatile compounds of juices extracted by press (PE) and centrifugal extractors (CE). Citrons cut up cross direction were used as samples in PE. Proportion ratio of peel, flesh, and seed of citron were 43.9, 39.4 and 16.7%, respectively. Yield of juice increased with weight to 120g of citron fruit. pH, brix, pulp, oily materials, amino nitrogen and yield of juice extracted by CE were higher than those of juice by PE. Acidity and transmittance of juice extracted by PE were higher than those of juice by CE. Free sugars of citron juice were consisted of fructose, glucose and sucrose. Free sugar contents of juice by CE were twice as much as those of PE. Major volatile compounds of total steam distillation matters of citron juice extracted by PE were dl-limonene, ${\gamma}-terpinene\;{\beta}-farnesene$, sabinene, linalool, ${\beta}-myrcene$ and terpinolene, while those by CE were dl-limonene, ${\gamma}-terpinene$, sabinene, ${\beta}-myrcene,\;{\alpha}-pinene$, linalool and terpinolene. dl-Limonene and ${\gamma}-terpinene$ consisted of $73{\sim}83%$ of total volatile compounds. dl-Limonene of juice by CE increased about 6% that of juice by PE. ${\beta}-Farnesene$ were observed trace in juice by CE but presented in 7% in juice by PE. The results would suggested that chemical characteristics and volatile compounds of citron juice seemed to depend on extraction methods.

Convolutional neural network-based data anomaly detection considering class imbalance with limited data

  • The raw data collected by structural health monitoring (SHM) systems may suffer multiple patterns of anomalies, which pose a significant barrier for an automatic and accurate structural condition assessment. Therefore, the detection and classification of these anomalies is an essential pre-processing step for SHM systems. However, the heterogeneous data patterns, scarce anomalous samples and severe class imbalance make data anomaly detection difficult. In this regard, this study proposes a convolutional neural network-based data anomaly detection method. The time and frequency domains data are transferred as images and used as the input of the neural network for training. ResNet18 is adopted as the feature extractor to avoid training with massive labelled data. In addition, the focal loss function is adopted to soften the class imbalance-induced classification bias. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated using acceleration data collected in a long-span cable-stayed bridge. The proposed approach detects and classifies data anomalies with high accuracy.
