제품 속성에 기반한 패키지 디자인 구성 요건 연구 - 프리저브드 플라워 브랜드 '프리저빌' 패키지의 표현을 중심으로 - (The research of required components of package design based on the product attribute - Focus on the package design expressions of preserved flower brand 'Preserville' -)

  • 이 연구는 프리저브드 플라워 패키지 디자인의 효율적 전개 여부를 평가하기 위해 조형 요소 뿐 아니라 제품 속성을 파악하여 접근하는 방향이 전제되어야 한다는 판단에서 시작되었다. 선행 연구를 기반으로 패키지 디자인의 구성 요건을 재정립하고, 제품 유형 분류 모형을 제안하였다. 패키지 디자인의 구성 원리는 6가지로 사용성, 심미성, 주목성, 독창성, 정체성, 상징성이며, 구성 요소는 크게 4가지 형태, 재질, 색상, 그래픽, 브랜드로 분류하였다. 제품 유형은 제품 정보 측면에서의 위험 지각과 제품 효익 측면에서의 사고 유형을 축으로 하여 4개 영역으로 구분하였다. 제품 유형 모형 영역별 대표 제품을 사례로 들어 패키지 디자인 구성 요소에서 발견되는 특징을 분석하여, 제품 유형에 따라 어떻게 디자인이 적용되어야 효과적이고 효율적인가에 대해 검토하였다. 이 모형에 대입해 프리저브드 플라워 패키지 디자인 전략적 방향성을 도출하였다. 최종적으로 연구용역으로 진행되어 제안된 평택시 프리저브드 플라워 브랜드 '프리저빌'의 패키지를 분석하여 한계점을 찾아보고 프리저브드 플라워라는 제품이 지향해야하는 패키지 디자인 관점을 제언하였다.

에탄올 및 글리세린 처리방법이 카네이션 '데지오' 보존화의 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Treatment Methods of Ethanol and Glycerine on Preserved Flower Quality of Carnation 'Desio')

  • 본 연구는 보존화의 가공기술을 개발하기 위해서 화훼장식용으로 많이 사용하는 카네이션(Dianthus caryophyllus) 'Desio' 꽃잎으로 에탄올 용액과 글리세린에 의한 최적 처리조건을 구명하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 에탄올 침지시간과 글리세린 처리 농도 및 침지시간이 보존화 품질에 미치는 효과를 평가하였다. 에탄올을 이용한 탈수 및 탈색처리 효과는 꽃잎의 탈색이 완전히 이루어져 명도가 가장 높고, 채도가 낮은 24~48시간에서 적절하였다. 글리세린의 적정처리 농도는 30%에서 36시간 처리구의 먼셀값이 H값 4.0R, V값 6.49, 채도를 나타내는 C값은 19.8로 신선한 꽃잎과 가장 유사하게 나타났다. 건조 후 무게 변화에 있어서는 침지 시간이 길어지고 글리세린 농도가 높아짐에 따라 감소율은 줄어드는 경향을 나타내었다. 12시간 침지 후 무게 변화는 글리세린 무처리구에서 시간에 따라 86~90%까지 감소한 반면, 40%로 농도가 높을수록 51~69% 감소하였고, 48시간 침지 후의 변화에서는 글리세린 무처리구에서 건조시간에 관계없이 90% 감소에 비하여 글리세린 40%에서는 46~54%로 감소율이 1/2 줄어든 것으로 나타났다. 건조 소요시간은 글리세린 10~20% 농도에서는 글리세린 침지 6시간을 제외하고 모두 24시간이 소요되었고, 30~40%, 12시간 침지부터는 48시간이 소요되어 농도가 높고 침지시간이 길수록 건조시간이 길어짐을 알 수 있었다.

국내 플라워샵 판매현황에 관한 연구 -품목별 판매율이 높은 화훼상품과 성수기를 중심으로- (A Study on the Sales Status for Flower Shop in Domestic : Emphasis on Peak Season and Flower Products with High Rate Sales by Items)

  • 본 연구는 플라워샵에서 판매되는 상품들의 품목별 판매량이 많은 화훼상품과 성수기 현황을 조사하고자 하였다. 국가기술자격 화훼장식기능사 및 기사 자격을 취득한 (사)화훼장식 기사협회 회원이며 꽃집을 운영하는 자 103명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였다. 연구 결과 화훼상품 판매 성수기는 5월(52.0%)과 2월(24.3%)이 1, 2위로 나타났고 선정이유는 5월은 가정의 달, 스승의 날 등 2월은 인사이동, 졸업식 등이었다. 분류별 판매량이 많은 화훼상품을 조사한 결과 절화는 연간, 성수기 모두 꽃다발(51.5%%, 40.3%)과 꽃바구니(28.8%, 37.5%)가 1, 2위로 나타났고, 연간 판매량 조사에서는 6위였던(1.8%) 코사지가 성수기에는 3위(8.0%)로 판매량이 증가하였다. 분화는 연간, 성수기 모두 관엽식물(50.6%, 51.3%)과 서양란·동양란(27.4%, 28.3%)이 1, 2위로 나타났고, 연간 판매량 조사에서는 응답이 없었던 숯부작과 분재가 성수기에 각 0.7%와 2.6%로 판매량이 증가하였다. 가공화는 연간, 성수기 모두 동일하게 건조화(45.3%, 39.5%), 프리저브드 플라워(27.7%, 37.2%)가 1, 2위로 나타났고, 뒤이어, 인조화, 압화, 콜라주 순이었다.

낙산사 공중 사리탑 복장직물의 조형특성 및 시기감정 (Characteristics of Textiles Found in the Pagoda at Naksan Temple)

  • On April 28th of 2006, a set of Buddha's reliquary was excavated from the pagoda in n Nacsan Temple. According to the record, the relics were put in the pagoda in the 18th year of King SookJong in the Chosun Dynasty (1692). The present paper examines ten pieces of wrapping clothes covering reliquary found in the pagoda. They are especially precious data in the history of textiles because they were blocked off from outside and was preserved in good condition with vivid colors still remaining after more than 300 years. Of the ten pieces of wrapping cloth, five were double-layered and the other five were single-layered. They include 15 pieces of silk fabric but, excluding repeated use of the same silk fabric, the total of 11 pieces of silk fabric were examined. All 11 kinds of silk fabric were patterned, 9 of which were Satin and the other 2 were Twill. Of the 9 Satin pieces, 8 pieces were 5-end satin which had the ground of 5-end warp satin with the figure of 5-end weft satin. The remaining 1 Satin piece were more splendid with prominent figures by using warp and weft of different colors. The 2 Twill pieces used twill weave-the ground was 3-end warp twill and the figures were 5-end weft twill. Both of the Twill pieces were weaved with character patterns, partly using wrapped gold thread as supplementary weft. The patterns of 11 pieces of silk fabric include flower, dragon/phoenix, cloud, and geometric patterns. Five were flower patterns, three were dragon/phoenix patterns, two were geometric pattern, and one was cloud pattern. In addition, various treasure patterns, character patterns were utilized as supplementary patterns. The flower and phoenix patterns reflect characteristics of the textiles of the 17th century whereas check pattern and cloud pattern were very unique.

Infrared Assisted Freeze-Drying (IRAFD) to Produce Shelf-Stable Insect Food from Protaetia brevitarsis (White-Spotted Flower Chafer) Larva

  • In this study, the potential of infrared assisted freeze-drying (IRAFD) was tested for the production of shelf-stable edible insects: Protaetia brevitarsis larva (larva of white-spotted flower chafer). The IRAFD system was customized using an infrared lamp, K-type thermocouple, controller, and data acquisition system. The infrared lamp provided the sublimation energy for rapid freeze-drying (FD). The IRAFD conditions were continuous IRAFD-5.0 kW/㎡ and IRAFD-5.0 kW/㎡ at different weight reduction (WR) (10%, 20%, and 30%). The continuous IRAFD reduced the drying time to 247 min compared to the 2,833 min duration of FD (p<0.05). The electrical energy could be reduced by more than 90% through infrared radiation during FD (p<0.05). The Page model resulted in the best prediction among the tested drying kinetic models. In terms of quality, IRAFD showed significantly lower hardness, chewiness, and higher protein levels than hot air drying and FD (p<0.05). IRAFD better preserved the glutamic acid (6.30-7.29 g/100 g) and proline (3.84-5.54 g/100 g). The external product appearance after IRAFD exhibited more air pockets and volume expansion, which might result in a good consumer appeal. In conclusion, this study reports the potential of IRAFD in producing shelf-stable and value-added edible insects.

우리나라 사슴고기와 노루고기 조리법(調理法)의 역사적(歷史的) 고료(考寮) (The Historycnl Study of Deer and Roe Deer Cooking in Korea)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the various kinds of recipes of deer and roe deer through classical cookbooks written from 1670 to 1943. The recipes of deer and roe deer are found 31 times in the literature written in classical Chinese from 1715 to the mid-l8th century, which can be classified six groups. Their records are less than other recipes such as beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and dog, but the deer recipe is recorded frequently as four times as the roe deer one The deer were cooked and preserved by the following six ways like large-size drying, drying, boiling, soup, roasting, and gruel, while three ones such as boiling, roasting, and drying were applied to the roe deer. However, there is little difference in recipes between deer and roe deer. In case of deer, boiling and drying were the most popular ones with the frequency of 28%. But the recipes of the roe deer, boiling, roasting, and drying are recorded with the same frequency of 33.3%. The recipes were introduced from China, and had many characteristics different from other kinds of meat, of which most process reflected the mordern cooking scientific aspect. The main ingredients were flesh meat, tail, and tongue and horn was used with uniqueness. Salt, vinegar, oil soy sauce, and the white part of the green onion were used as main seasonings. Alcohol, chuncho, sesame flower powder, and cinnamon powder are frequently added.

Changes in Quality and Vigour of Cucumber and Paprika Transplants as Affected by Storage Temperature under Dark Conditions

  • Cucumber and paprika transplants were stored at 9, 12, 15, and $18^{\circ}C$ under dark conditions for 15 days and then grown in a greenhouse for 14 days after transplanting. To determine the effects of low storage temperature and long-term continuous darkness on the quality and vigour of transplants, we investigated the quality of transplants during storage and the growth of stored transplants after transplanting. In cucumber transplants, decreasing storage temperature reduced stem elongation and decrease in SPAD value. The quality of cucumber transplants stored at $9^{\circ}C$ was well preserved during storage, but they did not survive after transplanting due to chilling damage. Growth and development after transplanting were significantly greater when cucumber transplants were stored at $12^{\circ}C$. In paprika transplants, the quality of transplants did not significantly differ before and after storage. After transplanting, there was no significant difference in the survival rate and growth, but the number of flower buds was greater in the paprika transplants stored at lower temperatures (9 and $12^{\circ}C$). These results indicate that the responses of transplants to the conditions of low temperature and darkness differed between cucumber and paprika, and storage temperature in darkness must be controlled carefully considering species-specific responses to reduce quality deterioration during storage and improve the recovery of transplants after transplanting.

Comparison of Stress Relieving Effects of Horticultural Therapy Programs between Judging and Perceiving Personality Types among Female Undergraduate Students

  • Background and objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects and preferences of horticultural therapy programs for stress relief according to MBTI personality types (Judging and Perceiving types) of female undergraduate students. Methods: The participants were divided into 15 Judging and 15 Perceiving types based on lifestyle preferences of the MBTI personality test, and a total of 30 participants participated in the horticultural therapy programs for 6 sessions. Results: Both Judging and Perceiving types showed a significant decrease in stress after participating in the horticultural therapy programs. Among the 8 life stress subfactors, Judging types showed significant stress relieving effects in 5 subfactors (relationship with the opposite sex, relationship with family, economic problems, future problems, value problems), while Perceiving types showed stress relieving effects in only 3 subfactors (relationship with family, economic problems, future problems). However, the changes in stress relief of 8 subfactors were not significantly different between the two personality types. The most preferred program for the Judging types was 'Making a flower basket', while the most preferred ones for the Perceiving types were 'Planting monstera', and 'Making preserved lemons with marigold', suggesting that the preferences varied depending on personality types. Conclusion: Therefore, it is necessary to develop suitable horticultural therapy programs for different subjects based on their personality types to enhance the effect of the programs on the subjects.

익산 미륵사지 출토 백제 초화문 자수 문양을 활용한 금박 개발 (The Development of Gold Foil Using Floral Patterns of Embroidery of Baekje Excavated at Mireuksa Temple Site in Iksan)

  • This study aims to expand the scope of use for relics by applying the patterns and characteristics of embroidered fabric pieces, such as gold foil, excavated from the Mireuksa Temple Site in Iksan for fashion products. The artifact was a ra decorated with flower and vine patterns, embroidery using gold and red thread, and the unique stitching of Baekje. The pattern was reconstructed, as the embroidery was not well-preserved. This study used two types of gold-foil techniques: laser-cut and stone-stamp gold foil. Considering practicality, the gloss, toughness, custom production possibility, and design implementation were emphasized. The form of the laser-cut gold foil could be transformed; however, a recognition problem with the machine increased the thickness of the stitching. It was used for half-finished goods and commercial casual fashion. The stone-stamp gold foil was finely implemented, but the design was difficult to change. It was used for half-finished silk fabric for making hanbok po and lattice-patterned silk skirts. Applying the developed gold foil to suitable clothing can further enhance the effect.

염료 흡수기간 및 환경조건이 유칼립투스의 보존엽 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dye-absorbing Duration and Environmental Conditions on Quality of Preserved Leaves in Eucalyptus cinerea)

  • 본 연구는 절엽의 보존엽 가공기술을 개발하기 위해서 화훼장식용으로 많이 사용하는 유칼립투스(Eucalyptus cinerea F. Mull. ex Benth.)의 보존엽 제작을 위한 보존염료 처리시 온도, 증기압차(VPD), 광주기 등 환경조건과 침지처리기간이 엽색에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 수행되었다. 균일한 성숙도의 잎을 가진 유칼립투스 절엽(줄기 포함)을 20cm로 절취한 후 온도(10, 20, 30, $40^{\circ}C$), VPD(0.23, 0.70, 1.16, and 1.61kPa), 광주기(0, 6, 12, 24 h)가 다른 생장상에서 보존염료에 3, 6, 9, 12일간 줄기 하단부를 침지하여 흡수시켰고, 이후 $20^{\circ}C$의 실험실에서 3일간 건조시켰다. 그 결과, 보존염료 처리 시 온도가 낮을수록 신선엽과 비교하여 엽색의 차이가 줄어들어 ${\Delta}E$값이 감소하였다. 특히 고온구에서 갈변현상에 의해 적색도(a)의 증가와 황색도(b)의 감소가 나타났다. VPD는 낮을수록 대조구와의 엽색 차이가 적어 ${\Delta}E$값이 감소하였다. 광주기는 짧을수록 엽색의 변화가 적어 ${\Delta}E$값이 감소하였다. 또한 환경조건에 관계없이 흡수기간이 길어질수록 엽색의 변화가 커져 ${\Delta}E$값이 증가하였다. 보존염료 흡수 후 건조 3일째 줄기와 잎의 유연성은 온도, VPD 및 침지기간이 감소할수록 증가하였다. 따라서, 보존염료 흡수 시 $10-20^{\circ}C$의 암 상태에서 0.23-0.70kPa VPD가 최적 환경조건이라 판단되며, 보존염료 처리기간은 보존엽의 품질 및 경제성 면에서 3일이 적당하다고 판단되었다. 이들 환경조건의 공통점은 증산에 의한 수분 손실 속도를 줄인다는 것으로, 이 범위를 많이 벗어나면 급격한 수분 손실에 의해 황변이나 갈변으로 품질이 떨어지게 된다.
